Laney Liddell
Laney was belted down to her flimsy cot as she whimpered when the asylum's drug assistant filled up a syringe with clear liquid. He tapped the needle and turned to her with a cotton mask on concealing his wicked smirk. "Come now, Love. We've done this a hundred times what makes this time any different." He snickered at the end of his sentence, his thick English/Irish accent was hard to grasp at time. Still he wasn't a gentle or loving man and she highly doubted he had a significant other to sooth his sadistic personality. Laney shook her head as tears seeped out of her bright green eyes. Her black hair had become frazzled and her patient's gown tattered from the time she has spent in this horror house. She wiggled in her restraints as the nurse lingering above her laughed a nasally cackle. The words she wanted to spout at this repulsive man were stuck in her throat as he plunged the icy cold needle into her skinny malnourished neck after giving it a tap or two. Within seconds her pupils dilated then expanded as her body became lifeless. "There Love. That should hold wer for a while." He laughed again as he packed up his equipment before exiting the room without another word. At the door, one of the female nurse's was leading Laney's sister, mother, and father to her room. Today was there monthly visit and mostly her mother and father just dropped her sister off while they weren't out to party for a while.
It was around the late 1930's now and all kinds of political and innovated movements were happening all over London. Their parents didn't want to waste their time on a broken child, but her twin insisted on visiting her and they doted all their affection onto her. Laney was to far gone in her world to react to their cruelness and besides she loved her sister more than anyone else in the world besides Grandma Alice. She could hear the disapproving scoffs of her parents as they looked at her lifeless form before kissing their other child goodbye. They would be gone for more than a few hours and the round the clock nurses would always be present to check up on the two. As their parents departed, the nurse let her sister into the room and unstrapped Laney from her restrains knowing she wouldn't be able to move much for a while. The woman walked out and closed the door jigging the keys in the door as she locked it.
After her tapping feet down the empty halls had disappeared Lanely remained in the same position staring blankly at the ceiling. She knew her sister was there, but didn't have the ability to move and if she did talk it came out sluggish and incomprehensible. Hopefully, her sister would do most of the talking until the drug starts to wear off so they could play.

Lillian Lidell Lillian or Lily as she called herself was being brought in with her parents to see her not so wanted, derranged, twin sister. She never thought that Laney was different she always found her fascinating... She didn't understand why her mother and father refused to bring Laney home. She asked them several times and they told her firmly no and that she should stop talking about her and be happy she can see her in the special hospital, she would never give up though! She tried hard to show them that she could make good grades in school maybe if she was smart enough Laney would come home? Though her plan only failed her and brought praise on her self and they seemed to visit Laney even less! So she slacked some to get a C this resulted in some strict discipline and she was told she would never see Laney again if she didnt keep her grades up. So upon this she finally was able to see her sister once again and after her parents brought her in kissed her goodbye and left. she found herself walking foward to smile at Laney,"Laney!!", she said cheerfully tapping her shoulder,"Are you sleeping with your eyes wide open again?", she blinked in concern,"I wish I could do that....". she turned to look at the discolored and dingy walls,"I wonder why mommy and daddy bring you here... Its rather scary looking isnt it laney..", she said quietly approaching the window which look out she frowned there was bars over it she never really liked Laney coming here she wish they never brought her somtimes but she guessed it was the way the world worked.... She turned back to her sister and gave her a reassuring smile,"Ya know what... I think you are gonna come home one day..", she walked over to lean down and hug her sisters waist,"One day you and me will be together again.. and I will never ever... let anyone keep us apart ever again...", she whispered feeling herself tremble. She wondered why she tried to play dumb she knew whatever happened to laney here was never good and yet even she wanted to ignore that she was being mistreated or handled bad,"Laney.. I dont want to lose you anymore...", she told her quietly,"We need to leave this place... we need to leave together...", she stood up for the first time she thought about being slightly rebellious... but maybe if they could escape a little while then maybe laneys pain could go away for the time being.

Laney Liddell
Lily didn't understand the influence of drug she was always comatose on and played pessimistic to her sad state. She spoke to her as if she was just another china doll sitting on a chair waiting for tea in their room. Laney never held her sister accountable though knowing that she was just trying to cheer the girl up. She even reassured her that she would return home one day, but father and mother wouldn't allow her in their home. Normality is the righteous path while insanity is a nonstop ticket to Hell or so the physicist tells her. Suddenly, Lily snuggled up to her embracing her skinny waist and vowing to bring her back so they'll never be apart again. Her trembling tickled Laney's body and the girl's fingers twitched in reaction. She was starting to get feeling back again after listening to Lily's dangerous, yet intriguing notions. When Laney finall spoke the words were slurred like a drunkard but someone coherent. "Tick...Tock...three o clock...tea time...White Rabbit...runs..." She began chuckling dementedly, "He got ran over by a carriage...I will too if we go...fall down in the hole..." She lifted her arm stunted a bit before lightly stroking her sister's head.

Lillian Lidell Lillian found herself shivering at laneys crazed words. Why did she always have to make things so scary? She felt her sisters hand lightly stroking her hair and she ceased to let out a sigh of relief it seems even if laney did scare her it was only because she couldn't help it... She was sick most of the time and it wasn't her fault mother and father kept her here. She tried to blink looking up towards her sister and the strange expression on her face,"Laney...", she asked quietly almost innocently she was to terrified to pressure her sometimes she had fits,"The rabbit hole... can we escape down this rabbit hole?", she asked her blinking as she wanted to be able to feel an assurance they would succeed to get her out of his hospital and back into the real world. That is if she wanted to return to the real world....

Laney Liddell
Her sister called to her reluctantly trying desperately not to stir her raging impulses that occur when she becomes stressed. She asked inquisitive if they could escape down the rabbit hole and Laney shook her head slightly. "We must follow him...his decapitated body will show us the way...the head will roll from behind...Tick...Tock...past three o clock." She smirked as she began to blink and regain her movements after flexing the smaller joints like her fingers. Laney finally found the strength to prop herself up on her dingy cream pillow looking directly into her sister's eyes. They were bright green light her own, but she had soft blonde hair to accommodate her innocent appearance. "Sweet Lily..." She pressed a cold pale hand to her sister's cheek and gently lifted her up so she could release her torso. "Cheshire is waiting for us. Do you see him?" She pointed to the door where there was nothing, just an appropriation that only she could see.

Lillian Lidell Lillian found herself listening to more Madd nonsense as she tried to think of a way to bring out Laney's playful side... There was no way it could have been that long... right? She had only been away from her for a few months but was that enough to bring on all the crazy and leave nothing left for their bond? She found she would have to play along with this until she could get Laney to be more playful like she used to in hopes of this lily ignored the way her cold hands gripped her chin and forced her onto her feet and she looked at laney in obedient manner there was only one way to get her to come back to reality and that was play until it was safe... She blinked innocently at her sister whom was the eldest by first 20 minutes and then turned her face to the door to find nothing there she squinted her eyes as she tried to imagine a strange looking cat there and came up with something along the times of it was blue with pink stripes,"Yes...", she said quietly," is he not sitting on his haunches staring at us with big yellow eyes?", she asked rather relieved her imagination could even occur to something as strange as trying to imagine a Cheshire cat.

Laney Liddell
Laney glanced at her sister surprised that she could see the residents of the wonderland their grandmother left behind. "Yes." However, compared to Lily the Cheshire cat that she saw was not as friendly looking. He was practically skin and bones and his ears with tough grey fur that almost looked like mange. Black tattoo filigree could be seen near his sharp tip tail, massive clawed paws, and above his thick yellowish orange eyes. His devilish grin was the most daunting as there were splatters of blood sprinkled over his teeth. Laney walked over to the imaginary feline and began to speak while making jokes as if it were a live animal she was talking too. "You again. Are you here to mock us or deter us, which is it you mangy cat?" The cat purred satisfyingly as it circled Laney as if she were pray. The girl's head moved in the direction of the cat making it seem like she was actually following something. "You're rather shrewd like Alice was. Our wonderland remains in you." He paused for a second gesturing to Lily. "Perhaps in you both." He chuckled maliciously as Laney stepped to the side hiding Lily behind her.
"My madness should be enough to guide us to the Rabbit's hole. Where is he? Late again I assume?" The cat pointed to the door which had now transformed into a black swirling portal. "Through there?" Laney gawked and placed her hands on her hips condescendingly. "It's the only way out so it must be so." Cheshire smirked and interrupted the child. "However, all holes need a key. Can a broke bed rail be used as a key? If you batter the knob hard enough it should...." The cat dissolved in front of her leaving her to figure out the cat's practically no-brainer riddle. She lightly shoved Lily out of the way and sauntered over to her bed frame and at the edge was a rusted railing piece read to be broken off. It took little effort for Laney to yank it off with a solid clang before heading over to the door.
By this time the drug had subsided somewhat and her strength was slowly returning. She raised the bar high over her head and began beating on the knob relentlessly. In her mind, she was weakening a force field over the black hole that was beginning to shatter with every impact.

Lillian Lidell Lillian found herself oddly enough seeing laney approach the imaginary cat but in her mind it was purring and rubbing up against her leg. Then it sat down and began to speak in a mischievous voice, she gasped placing hand over her mouth. Felines didn't speak! This was the real world she became slightly at unease as she tried to bite her tongue to not from screaming was she slowly going madd? She watched Laney's head move back and forth as she snapped at the cat. At this pointed Lillian moved forward but was slightly shoved to the side by laney as she headed straight to the bed post,"What are you...", she watched rather horror stricken as her sister jerked off the rusty piece of railing and began to walk over and pound at the door,"Wait!! Dont'!!", she said running over to her stopping just within a foot afraid she turn on her,"Wait! Dont do that laney!! let me open the door!!", she began to bite her nails nervously why was laney doing this!! What did her chesire cat tell her?.

Laney Liddell
Lily attempted to deter her, but she continued to hammer away until the door knob broke leaving a gasping hole in its place. Laney pushed through into the sterile halls coated with black and white tile. The alarms sounded off alerting the staff that one of their patients has escaped from their rooms. Laney held onto the bed rail and grabbed Lily's wrist dragging her alone. The trampling of feet persuaded them down the narrow corridors as Laney search for an exit, any way out. In order to slow the facility down, she halted for a split second next to a fire alarm. Pulling the lever, water sprayed out of spouts above drenching the hallways making the floor slippery. Laney and Lily were at a disadvantage as well if they fled fast enough so they slowed their pace. A few nurses and doctors engaged them only to slugged by Laney's makeshift weapon. Eventually, a door presented itself which actually led to the kitchen. The most wonderful thing about the kitchen wasn't the deplorable food, but the fact that the back door was always unlocked. She heard the woman who serves the meals to her room complaining about it once. Something about to many flies being let into the kitchen because of the back door inconvenience.
"Wonderland..." Laney whispered triumphantly as they burst through the back door just as the cook were ready to join into the chase. Beyond the dumpsters was a canal that leads to a forest past city limits. Laney could often see it through her window and there just happened to be a hole in the gate. There ticket out. Laney ran as fast as her legs could carry her now that the drug has practically worn off. She tightened her grip on Lily's arm shoving her forward just a bit ready to leap through the hole in the fence. "Jump!"
As they slipped through the hole barely escaping the claws of injustice, Laney could envision her falling down the rabbit's hole past broken pocket watches and disfigured creatures. The splash into the freezing waters wasn't to much of a shock since they were drenched already. However, this was the moment where she was transformed and complete immersed in Wonderland. Here her and her sister were insignificantly older about the age of sixteen or so. They both wore bright blue dresses with card suits embroidered on the fringe of the skirts. Delicate white aprons covered the tops of the dresses with ruffled edging on the straps. On the back bow Laney had a rotting skull that was facing upside down while Lily's was a butterfly with a child's face in the center of its thorax. They both wore white tights and black lace up shoes that reached a bit past their ankles. Laney's hair was straightened and silky like her sister's with a beautiful blue bow at the top. She looked to her sister flowing weightless beside her, but in reality they were unconscious floating down the river. The current was carrying their bodies out of the city and towards the forest where they'll be washed up on a muddy trashy bank deep within the woods.

Lillian Lidell Lillian ran over to laney once she broke open the door it was already to late they were going to be in so much trouble! Her sister grabbed her wrist as the alarms went off and Lillian began to cry as she did finding herself running with her sister as the medical staff try to chase them. This is why mother and father locked her up but she still couldn't understand why Laney was so desperate to find this wonderland. She found herself being tugged along by her elder sister as they moved through the halls that was until they stopped so laney could pull the fire alarm she screamed as the cold water hit her and she began to sob as they were trying not to slip on the tile flooring of the Asylums tiles. She was always looking behind her the staff looked angry they looked like they would hurt and lock them both up and she became even more scared as her tears ceased and they were running even faster until they reached the kitchen. They dodged around the massive island in the center to the cooks surprise to see two twin girls running around in her kitchen. She screamed as she found one trying to grab at them and she ran eve faster as laney's hand seemed to loosen on her grip sensing her younger sisters fear by now to get out of here. They were outdoors finally and the word Wonderland rang in her ears as her sister gripped tightened once more dragging her along the trail to the hole in the fence... She followed after laney,"Where are we going!", she asked her loudly finding she was reluctant to actually go the way laney was taking them but it didn't matter her grip tightened even more and she was flung downward toward the hill as she seen the whole in the gate she jumped through, she closed her eyes as she screamed going through the whole only to find herself and Laney falling through a maze of Maddness! There was objects eclipsed into the wall clocks pillows jam floating by as they went down the hole that as immensely dirt with fragments of candlelight her way wasn't dark and she stopped her screaming as her eyes began to focus in.. Her and Laney had different attire they were both wearing the same outfit and she found herself almost mirrored to her sister the only difference was the hair... She took up laneys hand as they continued to float upside into the rabbit whole and a smile crossed her face a smile of ease,"Laney... its real...", she said in wonder,"We are really going to wonderland!", she could see the bottom a large burst of light,"There...", she reached with her hand towards the light as her and laney's body disappeared into the brightness....
