Generally, she used a special notepad her mother had given her, back when she'd first moved out of the house, for all of her grocery shopping needs. The list was a cheerful bright purple, organized by different categories with perfectly shaped little checkboxes by each one, to tick off when she needed something for her cabinets and fridge back at the apartment.
Today, however, there was no need for groceries.
She'd gone on the school's website and pulled each teacher's syllabus from their individual links, collecting the names and editions of each book she needed for her courses. Once again, she may have overdone it on the class count... but a few extra electives would surely help pad her transcript when it came time for her to apply for medical school, right?
The list of book titles had been carefully penned onto a sheet of notebook paper, the piece folded meticulously and pinched tightly between her fingers as she started roaming the shelves of the local bookstore a few blocks away from the University. She'd heard that they had a reputation for selling used versions of books and, well... when one took as many courses at school that Sophia Thomas did, one could always use a break when it came to paying for the schoolbooks.
Wrinkling her nose, eyes narrowed as she scanned the shelves - they'd already seemed to have been combed over once or twice, but surely she had to find something!
