"Okay, cookies are officially in the oven."

The two women had managed to conquer the bottle of wine in her fridge as they sat in the kitchen, waiting for the dough to thaw. After the wine, they'd cracked open the bottle of Jim Bean that Jules had bought to replace the one that Dallas had practically consumed by his lonesome (though, granted, she'd bought it originally for him so it was a moot point) and by the time they'd had their first glass, the dough had been thawed and it had been time to separate them into little balls.

The word "balls" had never seemed as funny as they did when she was half a bottle of wine and one whiskey shot in.

While the nurse had been quick to divvy up the dough and put them in the oven, the other girl had been tasked with seeing that the bottle and the glasses made their way into the living room, where the couch awaited them. Cushions were more comfortable than stools and Jules was most definitely ready for some comfort at... oh, was it already two in the morning?

"Alright, alright - so. How did you and Mr. Officer meet?"

The older woman was quick to drape herself on the opposite side of the couch, readily accepting her glass back from her guest. "Don't spare the details, I love a good story."

Knot was feeling pretty good.

At some point her boots had been kicked off and neatly placed...somewhere. Her jacket was draped over one of the stools back in the kitchen, and now she was sitting on the opposite end of the couch from the other woman, practically flashing her panties and garter belts as she sat cross legged and not giving a care. While feeling pretty good, she was still mindful of her intake. She had been definitely building up an alcohol tolerance in the company of one Dallas, but she was absolute on making sure she never tipped beyond the point of being in control. After all, it could be a matter of life or death.

Luckily, in Jules' house though, the consequences weren't quite that severe.

Knot grinned when asked, and took a moment to mull over how to parse the story to Jules. After all it all happened when she'd been powered, plus had the complications of having known him prior in a previous life. "Well, you can call him Officer Comrade, because he's Russian so he has that absolutely sexy accent that rumbles in his chest." She was just delighted, and took a sip of her bourbon from her own glass.

She decided she could stick with the truth. To an extent. She'd just omit a few details, and felt it'd still be a credible story.

"I was out running the city one night some months ago, and happened to see him dealing with someone he pulled over. I thought he was stupidly attractive so I figured I'd go say hi. I started by sliding onto the hood of his cruiser and waiting for him to see me." She laughed. "He wasn't really impressed and threatened to take me to the station, but I chatted him up and convinced him to take me for a ride along while he was patrolling. He wouldn't stop looking at my garters, so I figured I had him." One hand went to snap one of the said garters on her thigh.

"We chatted some more while patrolling, aaand I caught him checking me out again, so I asked if there was anything I could do to help him out---" She paused. "Then it escalated from there. We ended up in the back of his cruiser on the side of the road a little bit outside the city. I ripped off his uniform shirt and then had my way with him."

Her grin was just incredibly wide now.

"He was into it."

By the time Knot mentioned Officer Comrade, Jules was already slowly inching her way towards the other woman. Russian? Accents? A uniform?

God, this was already getting good even before the story was starting.

Blue eyes remained wide as the tale began, each follow-up statement or comment quickly met with a sharp nod from the blonde woman's head or a small gasp as her palm covered her mouth in astonishment.

(The palm removed itself shortly after, each time, to allow Jules yet another sip of her drink - of course.)

When Knot finished with her zinger of a comment, Jules was absolutely, one hundred and ten percent both committed and fascinated, almost to the point where she looked like she was about to spill her drink.

"That's... that's like straight out of a contemporary romance novel. Holy crap."

The rest of her glass was finished off, the liquid burning her throat the entire way down. "I'm jealous, that's so... that's so knotty."

Pausing, Jules did her best to keep a straight face before she burst into a fit of giggles.

"Yeah, it does sound like it, huh?"

She was still grinning as she took a sip of her own drink again, and nearly, nearly spit out the alcohol at the pun on her name. "Ha! Maybe that is my name for a reason..." She pretended to look thoughtful at that, before she laughed and shook her head. "I intercepted him during his three am morning jog once too, and also had my way with him in the park. I was pulling leaves out of my hair for a bit." Knot couldn't help but keep grinning. "He likes to play hard to get still, but he's lucky I like chasing him."

Knot took another sip of her drink, and reached to right Jules' glass back in her hand before the poor woman spilled it all over her couch.

"So how did you first meet Dallas, huh? I'm sure that's a good story, too."

Her cheeks were flushed from giggles and alcohol, the older woman's legs soon crossing beneath her legs as she leaned over to grab the quickly dwindling bottle of booze. It didn't take long to fill up her glass again and return the bottle to the coffee table, Jules leaning back against the arm of the couch as she settled in, further delighted in the follow-up story.

"It sounds like he's a lucky man, to be pursued by such a determined woman."

Finger gliding across the rim of her refreshed drink, drunken flush turned into embarrassed flush as Knot brought up the inevitable return question: how had Jules met the wandering, lusty cowboy that they both knew?

"Not nearly as interesting as Officer Comrade," she argued back, still smiling as her eyes focused on the finger trailing the glass. The memory still brought back butterflies to her stomach as she thought about it.

"He'd been shot. Bleeding all over the place - I was outside in the garden when he stumbled by. He's always such a messy, messy man."

Clucking her tongue, she shook her head, then leaned in to add softly, "Though he doesn't look half bad when he shucks the cowboy garb off, I have to admit."

Knot laughed. "Or maybe he'd say unlucky since I interrupt his work a lot." Her expression was clearly unapologetic though.

As Jules started to ramp up with her story though, it was Knot's turn to lean in. Not quiet as intensely as Jules had (yet), but she was very interested. How did that whirlwind on legs wind up in someone's life, she wondered. "Oh, psssh. I'm sure it's just as interesting. It's you and Dallas, after all." She smiled, and then laughed. "Oh, I'm not surprised he'd been shot in the slightest."

This was followed by another laugh. "I'll take your word for it. He's built, I'll give him that...and handsome in the completely rugged kind of way." The woman paused before prompting the other. "So you being a nurse, felt it was your duty to take him in and patch him up, even though he was a complete stranger, hm?"

One hand pressed itself against her chest in mock offense.

"Well of course it was. I took the Nightingale Pledge back in school when I graduated - I couldn't just let a poor man die in my front yard, bleeding everywhere."

The hand lowered and she was grinning again. "Besides, you've seen how big that galoot is. I don't have the time to clean up that much blood from off of my porch."

Washing away blood hadn't been a concern, back when he'd stumbled by wanting to know where the nearest Rite-Aid was. Sure, she should have probably pointed him in the right direction and had the cowboy off on his way but something had pushed her into helping him - maybe it was the adrenaline rush, maybe it was her need of caring for the injured - whatever the reason, he'd found his way into her kitchen and under her careful, maternal eye.... among other things he'd been under.

Another sip and she was glancing away, fighting the shyness as she divulged, "A little alcohol went a long way that night, it seems. While he's got a big mouth, Jimmy Dallas... can certainly leave an impression on you, if not a hickie or two."

One hand rose up to absentmindedly rub at her neck, as if trying to rehash the memory of the rough, stubble-mouthed kiss.

Knot smiled. There was something incredibly...honorable? About that notion to her. That one so dedicated to their profession went out of their way to help a complete stranger. Jules...Sergei, too. One was driven by the need to mend and the other the need to...justice, but, the principle she felt was the same. Putting one's self on the line for someone else. A greater...good?

Good was such a subjective term.

"Oh, I've seen how big he is, indeed." Knot replied. "And you know what they say about men with big boots---"

She paused.

"Big socks."

Knot took a sip of her drink.

"But I bet he's got a magnum locked and loaded in those pants too, eh, Jules?" She grinned at the woman over her glass. "Looks like I'm not the only knotty one here, either." She mused. "Look at you, saving a horse and riding a cowboy after one night. You like to live life on the edge, too. I approve."

She paused in her drinking as Knot mentioned big boots, fully expecting an erection reference with her next comment. When she responded with big socks, Jules grinned and relaxed as she tipped the drink back, feeling safe.

The magnum comment, however, had her literally choking on the bourbon as the gasp forced her to inhale the golden liquid. It took a few sputters for her to clear her throat, hoarse laughter soon bubbling up. Oh, Dallas would probably enjoy the gun comparison, if not try to prove Knot’s suggestion to the both of them.

“I have to sate my own adventurous side sometimes,” she countered, one hand moving up to fan herself from the heat. In the kitchen, the timer went off and started buzzing, which prompted Jules to swing her legs over the side of the couch and start a hasty retreat. “I don't usually take strangers to bed...but to be fair, there wasn't much bed to be used that night.”

There. Let Knot figure that one out.

Smiling to herself, Jules disappeared into the kitchen, where she soon grabbed her cute floral oven mitts and retrieved the pan of cookies from the oven.

Knot relished in the fact that for a few brief moments, Jules thought she was safe. She knew how flustered the woman got, though...so really that magnum delivery was intentional. It got the desired result too.

"...Oh." At that comment, Knot was left to ponder what surfaces the couple touched that night. Anywhere in the house was suspect. Anywhere.

Even this couch.

Hm.

Oh well.

Knot sipped her bourbon.

"Hey Jules~" the woman called out to the kitchen, tilting her head back. "I saw you fanning yourself before you left, but let's be real, I bet the imaginary heat just now was nothing like the friction of your body against his!" She grinned.

"Bet the heat from that oven also pales in comparison!"

The tray came out, piping hot and smelling delicious. Her senses must have been out of whack thanks to the booze (or maybe they were extra sensitive, even?) because even the nurse's stomach was growling for the sweet, delectable smell of warm chocolate chip cookies that began to waft itself through the kitchen.

Knot's peanut gallery commentary didn't go unheard, Jules biting the inside of her cheek for a moment before she could come up with something even semi-witty back, in her inebriated state.

"I'm starting to think that your name is that for a reason."

Perverted humor was not her forte. It appeared she'd have to be quicker on her toes to keep up with the younger generation.

Cookies were put on the cooling rack, Jules taking a moment to wipe her forehead with the nearby dishtowel. Knot would get the majority of the cookies once they cooled but the blonde decided she was going to pay a cookie toll for making her blush.

Just for the sake of her face, she opened the fridge door and let the cool air from the inside make its way out, a small relief against the heat that was indeed covering her face.

Tilting her own head back, she countered, "A cold shower might do you a wonder too, otherwise it sounds like you need to pay a visit to Officer Comrade soon."

Knot laughed.

She picked out her name because she thought it was cool and it was ship related, as she was the Senshi of Ships. Maybe nominative determinism was coming into play. Maybe she was just knotty.

Ugh. She could smell the cookies from here and she couldn't wait for fresh and warm cookies. So good.

The next comment had her grinning, and she called back, "I think I need to dip into some holy water, and Officer Comrade can also become a man of the cloth in addition to his police work, because I've got demons to exercise!"

A pause.

"Oops, I mean exorcise."

She just grinned.

"You ought to be arrested for that one. What's his number? I'm going to give him a call right now."

Tupperware was fished out of its designated cabinet and she scooped most of the cookies, once hardened enough, into the container. A baking sheet was added between layers, giving the girl enough cookies to fill the box without squishing them when it closed.

And, of course, leaving just enough for Jules herself to munch on, when the snack craving hit.

Re-entering the living room, box in hand, she offered the younger woman a smirk as she handed over the Tupperware.

"You could always bring these to share with your studly do-gooder. Bet he'd be willing to do just about anything, once he got a taste of these."

Not that Knot really seemed to need any means to persuade the man with. From the sound of things, she might have had to chase him to pin him down but he appeared to be a willing victim of her charm, just as Jules seemed to be for a certain roguish cowboy.

"Oh, you're right, Jules. Getting handcuffed in the back seat would be hot. I'll ask next time I see him."

When the woman entered with the box, Knot's expression lit up, and it was with some sort of reverence that she took the container. "Thank you kindly." She said. Oh man. The container was warm, and those cookies looked so good. "Next time I come around, I'll drown you in cookie ingredients." She grinned. "We'll have a baking weekend." Knot teased, and then laughed.

"Jules, it's cute how you think I'm sharing these with anyone."

No, ma'am. She was eating all of them. Well. She might share one with Machine and Bus. Maybe.

There was a pause.

"I suppose this is where we part ways for the evening...or early morning, huh?" She asked. Since she had gotten the cookies, and had taken up quite a few hours of Jules' time tonight with her impromptu visit.

The thought of handcuffs had her eyes widening for a moment's time before returning back to normal. "As long as I get more stories, you'll get more cookies."

It seemed like a fair trade - real life romantic trysts in exchange for baked goods. They both come out on top as winners, right? Well... Knot came out more of a winner than she did, but at least she had some stories to add to her mental collection to sigh about wistfully when she started daydreaming again.

Jules blinked at the insinuation that her impromptu guest should be leaving and found herself suffering from a sudden onset of sadness. Leave? Already? Had the time flown by that quickly?

"You're welcome to stay the evening to sleep off the alcohol," She offered, already having a feeling of what the fellow night owl's answer would be, "It's been a pleasure having you over, surprise cookie visit and all."
