Caius had never expected Raven of all people to ask him to help imbue with her and her boo. It was an honor, really, but one of the freshlings from the last stones was still running around, as adorable as Verbana was. Would they want a sibling? Thinking back to his days as a freshling, he remembered that he'd been the most excited about being a big brother. Throughout the whole process he'd asked so many questions it must have driven his mother crazy but she'd taken it in a stride.
He wasn't as close with his little sib as he'd been hoping for when he'd been a kid and the thought made him frown a tad. Verbana should get to know their aunt. . or would it be their uncle? Hopefully they'd settled on which they'd wanted to be since their younger years. Nearly every time he'd seen them they'd gone by something different. It'd made introductions a bit confusing. Not that it made him love them any less, it was just difficult to describe them to people and most had thought he'd been making them up.
Leaning back against the wall, he heaved a sigh. Would Verbana feel the same way he had to have a younger sibling? Would they be excited and enthuse about it to all their friends? Or would this backfire and they'd accuse him of not loving them, that he must not if he was making more kids with new people.
Rubbing a hand across his face, he huffed out a breath. Well there was no way of knowing for certain unless he went and asked the small child. And considering the amount of thought he'd put into what they would think, he was obviously set on helping his friends out. Pushing himself off the wall, he flapped his wings once to straighten them before heading off in search of his kid.
Verbana, of the two first children he'd had, had really taken to helping care for the many plants he had. They'd shoved their grubby little nose into any bit of soil they could get their hands on. He didn't envy the gardeners at the academy or the teacher of that particular class. The moment they'd been able to get around on two legs they'd stumbled towards a plant and nearly tumbled face first into the pot with it.
It had taken a little time and patience to keep them from doing things like that, but that was something he had in abundance. The fond smile that touched his face as he recalled the attempts, for there were several, told him that perhaps another child wouldn't be so bad. Sycamore mostly stayed with their mother, and that was fine with him, but the idea of two little troublemakers to deal with didn't deter him at all.
Certain that he could get Verbana on board he decided he'd meet with Raven and Sorren later tonight to tell them that he'd be willing to imbue with them. Now he just had to find his wayward child amidst his garden.
