Rano Seeing as he was going to graduate so soon (Junior classes, yeah!!) Hikito wasn't sure why they had added another girl to the dorm room. Gwen had left pretty quickly, starting junior classes he thought, and supposedly there was someone else who had moved in (not that he'd ever seen them) and now there was this grimm girl. He wasn't quite sure what to think of her. She was awfully quiet, but didn't seem prone to tears. He'd tried pranking her with his familiars, hiding them in her clothes and things, but she'd just started petting them. He'd tried mixing up all of the stuff on her desk and in her backpack, but that hadn't phased her. At a loss for what to do about her, Hikito had decided that he'd just ignore her. They didn't have any classes together, so there just wasn't any reason to interact with her. Today was one of the last days he'd be in this dorm, so he was trying his best to tidy up without revealing all of his pranking material. If they had just told him which dorm he was moving into, he probably could have found somewhere good to stash this stuff already. As it was, he'd had to expand his hiding spots throughout the school and he was ninety-five percent sure someone else had been messing with his stuff. How else could he explain stuff getting moved around and new things added? wc: 242 Hobo Devorah had moved into a new dorm sometime ago, despite her asking not to. Her previous dorm mates complained about her being a disturbance so she was moved. Her new dorm mate kept pranking her in various ways which she found to be fun. One day, she had seen his stash of prank stuff so when he wasn't home, she looked through the stuff. It was all really neat and hikito obviously was very clever. Since he was so into prank stuff, devorah decided to add her collection to his... And you know, maybe use some of his stuff too. Today, Devorah was going to add her newest addition to her roomies stash but when she entered the room... He seemed to be packing. "What are you doing?" She asked, looking to him. Rano Hikito jolted at the voice addressing him from behind him. He hadn't heard the door open and his hand was in the middle of digging around for the last of his string in his hide-y hole. A backpack sat in front of him, filled with the remainder of his things from this spot and there wasn't any way to hide it. "Packing!" he said after he got over the initial surprise. "They're moving me to a room with older kids since I'm starting junior classes next semester." This wasn't exactly a secret and hopefully it'd keep her from noticing as he took out the string and shoved it in his bag. Hurriedly zipping it up, he was grateful that he wasn't going to be here much longer. The one shelf that was tucked behind his bed was one of his best and so far untouched hiding spots. Turning around, he gave her a bit of a curious look. "Why do you care?" wc: 162 Hobo Devorah listened and frowned as he mentioned that he was no longer going to be her roommate. "Oh.." her shoulders drooped as she watched him pack up the cool stuff she added to. It was hard making friends as it was and for some reason, it hurt that he was leaving. She wanted to be his friend so bad and she lost her chance... Well the easiest chance. As hikito turned and looked at her, Devorah shrugged. "Cause I think you are clever.. and your prank stuff is cool... It's why I added stuff to it." She explained, "it's really interesting to see all the stuff you put together... I like it... And now you are leaving so I am sad... That's why I care.." she told him honestly. Rano Hikito's eyes widened a bit as Devorah complimented him and then admitted to adding stuff to his stashes. So that's where all the extra bits were coming from! He hadn't thought that the younger grimm would be interested in things like that. They hadn't reacted very much to his pranks, not even accusing him of trying to prank them. Well, aside from that first time. Blinking a few times, he shifted his stance after putting his backpack on. "You. . .like prank stuff too and you think I'm clever?" he asked, surprise tinging his tone. Now he looked a bit more interested in her. Why hadn't she said anything about it before? "How come you didn't say anything?" Might as well ask. He wasn't going to be around much longer, so if things turned out badly, he wouldn't have to deal with the effects. wc: 143 Hobo Devorah wished he'd stay but obviously that wasn't an option. She wished he wasn't older than her so she could learn more about him.. learn more from him. "I love your pranks.. it took me a while to evaluate them.. but I think they are fun and also unique." She explained. The Grimm rubbed her neck some, "oh, I wasn't sure you'd be willing to teach me... So I just watched and tried my own pranks, none were nearly as good as yours." She frowned, "Besides, I thought it was a secret or something." She added. Rano Hikito grinned, his chest puffing out a bit as she complimented his pranks. Lately he'd been wanting to do more elaborate ones, but they just kept fizzling out. He was hoping that when he started taking junior classes, he'd be able to figure out how to get them to go off without a hitch. Plus, he'd be able to use magic in them soon!!! Excited about all the things he was gonna be able to do soon, Hikito gave Devorah a sharp grin. "I'm a master prankster so you'll just have to watch and you'll learn! But I can't have a freshling following me around while I go to set up new pranks, so you'll have to wait until you're bigger." Hikito gave a decisive nod. "It's a secret because otherwise you get in trouble for having that sort of thing on you. . . and most of my other roommates were crybabies." Her attempting to mimic his pranks would explain why he'd gotten into trouble more often these last few weeks. He'd just thought that some of the other freshlings were tattling on him. Well, at least in his new room he wouldn't have to worry about getting blamed for her stuff anymore. wc: 202 Hobo Devorah's face brightened at the mention of being able to learn from him... With a catch. Darn! She had to wait till she was older!? She wasn't that much younger than him! "Alright! I'll be a junior soon enough then I can learn from the master!" She smiled, excited. "...Sorry I didnt tell you sooner." She rubbed her fluffy arm as she looked to him. She was still bummed that he was leaving, then again... So was she. "Anything you are excited about for junior year?" She asked. Rano Hikito nodded. He'd see about that. He was for sure lots older than her, so by the time she was a junior, he'd be a senior! But if she grew up before then, he'd just have to teach her. It'd be like having another Marsh around. . but maybe less noisy. Though his friend was getting better more recently. Bouncing in place a couple times, he dug around in his pocket to get a ponytail holder before scooping his hair up into a high ponytail as he thought. "I'm excited to start learning magic. I'll be able to incorporate magic into my pranks soon and nobody will be able to figure out who did it. Plus then I can do even MORE pranks!" That was exciting enough that he gave her the biggest grin of all. "AND--" "Hikito!" A voice from outside the door called. "It's time to go now, are you ready?" Drooping a bit because he'd been excited to be able to detail his plans to someone, he fell back flat on his feet. "I'll have to tell you more when I see you in junior classes," he proclaimed. "I'm ready!!" he called to the teacher, turning. He'd taken a couple steps away before pausing and turning back to the grimm. She looked... really bummed out about this. Without thinking about it, Hikito reached out and grabbed her in a tight hug before letting to to follow the caretaker to his next door room. "See you later!" he called back to her with a wave. wc 256 Hobo Devorah couldn't help but sway her tail excitedly as hikito got excited about learning magic. How awesome did that sound! She wondered what she had to look forward to when she took her junior classes.. aside from being around hikito. As she heard the care taker call out for her friend, she frowned. Her tail drooped and her ears folded back. What if he didn't really mean what he said? She watched him take a few steps before she was about to head towards her bed. Suddenly, the other was hugging her tightly but before she could hug him, he let go. She smiled wide and waved to him, "See ya, Hikito!!! Have fun!" She called out, her tail swaying happily.
