She would say it had been fortuitous timing that she got that second untraceable phone as Knot for her business with Dallas. She'd been able to give the number to Sergei, and thus had a means of keeping in touch with the man instead of just...well. Trying to hunt him down across the city whenever she wanted to spend time with him. She just had to be careful with the phone whenever she powered up or down, and she was.
Like tonight, she knew he was working. Which meant if she teleported to his police car, the odds of winding up right next to him were incredibly high. She hadn't mentioned she was planning on dropping in on him. After all, it wouldn't be a surprise if she told him every time.
Stillwaterite's form appeared in the passenger seat of one Officer Vetrov's vehicle, and she took in her surroundings. He wasn't in it, but the good news was that the car wasn't in the garage, either. It was raining tonight. A summer storm. Water ran down the windshield, blurring the sights around her, but right in front of the car was the unmistakable neon glow of the 7-Eleven sign. Still smiled as she relaxed in the seat, crossing her legs and leaning one arm on the middle counsel.
Alright. He'd be back soon then. He was probably grabbing something for his patrol tonight.

Grabbing something was a relative term when Sergei was responding to a call to the 7-11 for an attempted shoplift. He had sat through already, 20 minutes of a hysterical white man complaining about teenagers and their sticky hands. Since the man had no camera's, Sergei took the description and mostly kept a professional face.
Once he had enough information and wasted enough time, he came back to the car with a small sandwich and two energy drinks. He squinted at the crimson red in the seat but entered anyways. Once he was settled, he ran hand through wet hair before looking at Still.
"Good evening Stillvaterite." He gruffed, as he started the car, face unchanging as he pulled out. "Did not vant to play in rain today?"

She couldn't help but grin as the man entered the car and didn't complain about her being there uninvited. "Good evening, Officer~" Though he messed with his hair, she reached up to brush her fingers through the wet strands as well, smoothing them away from his face. "Not tonight." She answered, "But later your hair won't be the only thing that gets wet." She turned her hand to brush her knuckles along his jaw before resting her hand on her lap for the time being. "Question~" Still started, as if she hadn't just dropped something raunchy moments prior. "What language do you think in, hm? Russian or English?" Since their last encounter, she really wanted to work on learning more about the man, and of course the only way to do that was to simply ask things. So she did.

He should be use to her just teleporting into the car, it wasn't like it was a hard location to imagine. He was surprised she didn't do the drivers side to be honest. "You're outta control." He looked at her and shook his head, even if the small touch on his chin sent a spell of heat down to his gut. It was frustrating and thrilling that she caused both reactions in him.
He rolled his eyes. "You alvays have questions." After all, like her previous self, there was always something that Olga needed to know. He didn't feel as annoyed as he drove with one hand, eating the sandwich in the other. Lights reflecting off the slicked streets but not many people out.
"Russian." He answered immediately, "Vas born and raised till....15. Vas hard to adjust but English vas learned in high school. Not too bad but..." He shrugged, "Sister is better. She doesn't have accent as much, vas sent to America much younger then myself." He took a bite and chewed while he waited for her next question.

"I know, but you like it." Still grinned lightly. Eyes drifted to the windshield as she stayed leaning on the middle counsel, watching the rainy city go by. "I have to ask questions. How else am I supposed to get to know you, hm?" She teased, and listened to the answer. She found it fascinating. "See, even if I could skip the asking and read your mind, it wouldn't do me any good. I don't speak or understand Russian." She lightly nudged his arm with her elbow. "And unless you developed mind reading powers, Malysh, you're going to have to ask me questions, too." She had a well to pull from though, and at the pause for the next one, followed it up. "So you dream in Russian too, then?" It seemed like a safe assumption, but she just wanted to be sure. "Do you miss where you were born and raised?"

"Hah." The sound escaped him and his shoulders moved in time with it. He didn't argue though, part of the reason he did like this...Well part of the reason he liked Still was because she was a bit more open and fun.
But again, It was funny to see similarities of old Olga. "Is funny. Not much has changed from old vays of finding me out." He smirked, "Could alvays let me be a mystery man hmm?"
He took another bite of sandwich. "Questions I don't have." He shrugged, "I don't play games like that. Do not know vhat to ask and even if did...how much vould remember?" He turned to look at her, "Sure vill tell me though."
Her next question made him tap the wheel, abandoning the sandwich to one of the cupholders, half finished. "Dreams are different. Do not knov vhat dream in. Sometimes....don't remember." Did he miss home?
"No. I am fine here." He shrugged, "Home is for America. Is vhy I joined Navy."

When the sandwich was abandoned to the cup holder, fingertips trailed down the arm of the officer closest to her. Like their first encounter, her fingers reached the hand that was tapping on the steering wheel, and she slid her hand under his own. Still took it, and brought it back to rest on the center counsel to hold his hand in her own. She was focused on his face though, as her free hand came over, and her thumb ran back and forth across his knuckles. She quirked a brow at him, and gave the man a skeptical look. "Considering the fit you threw about not knowing me during our talk in the park, Officer, I call bullshit on the whole notion of mystery man." Or woman, for that matter. "Getting to know someone isn't a game." She replied. "When you interrogate your suspects with questions to find out answers, do you label that a game?" The corrupt looked down at his hand for a moment, her thumb drawing idly circles around his knuckles. "How about you don't ask me about the past then." Clearly she couldn't answer. "There's the present, and there's a lot you don't know about me." She looked back up at him, quirking a brow. "Really? No curious bone in your body? You even got me on oath. I'll be as honest as I can be."

He didn't stop the hand from taking his own. Letting it fall down to wear it was. He squeezed but did nothing more then that.
He wasn't much of a talker, so the words he chose were careful.
"You are not a suspect." He looked over at her. "I don't knov people." He shrugged, "Is vhy I am not detective, Still. I am cop. Brute strength." He shrugged again.
"So tell me."

She smiled, and also idly wished that whatever she knew about him before, in the previous life, that she'd been able to remember that. Her free hand temporarily left his to reach up. "I don't believe you when you say purely brute strength." Still lightly flicked his temple. "There's a lot going on up there that wants to put pieces into neat places." She lowered her hand back to his, and resumed running her thumb along his knuckles. "I live in Negaspace." Practical information for a practical man, and relevant. "It's located beneath the Earth's crust, and the only way in and out is to teleport. It's an underground city. At the center is a castle which acts as the central hub, and around it is the city itself. Right outside the caste is the barracks, and that's where I lay my head, most nights, along with my friends. I spend most of my time like this. Since there's energy in Negaspace, I can stay powered up." Still watched his face in profile as she spoke, looking. She knew he knew more than he let on, and she was curious if anything would prompt a reaction, however small.

"I like neat places." He grumbled, brushing her hand away from his head. "Stop that." The accent was heavy but the tone light. "Everything has a spot for everything." He grumbled again, clearly only a tad bit annoyed that she called him out on it.
His hand tightened in the space where she claimed it. She did not belong to negaspace but that was not his place to say. "Friends?" He waited, "Vhat are friends like then?" He didn't know why but...
"Sounds like a lonely place to rest head." He turned the wheel, exiting off the highway to patrol on the more dangerous side of town. He was choosing to cruise through with Still since well, worst came to worst, she'd probably teleport him out of danger.
"Do not like your....civilian life?" He had to be careful, "Vhat do for fun if alvays povered up?"

"Yes...because brutes just love for everything to contained in nice and neat little packages." Her lips quirked up in a smile that said contradiction much? The corrupt glanced down at their joined hands when she felt his tightened on her's, but didn't stop in her ministrations. "Yes, friends." Her smile turned more earnest at the topic. "Pyrophanite---he's a half-youma, a part of him is merged with one of those creatures you see running at night, General, and Haüyne, who is just like me, but has been in the Negaverse for much longer. They're amazing. They both work very hard, but have great senses of humor and we have each others backs. Haüyne says we're the Three Musketeers." Still shook her head a bit. "It's not lonely because I have them." She paused for a moment to see the area they were driving into. "Oh no, I like it just fine. I just don't have much use to be in it. I am here and there, because I have a job now and some new...friends, because of it." Was Dallas a friend? Maybe...did the cowboy believe in that? Jules was a friend now, for sure. The corrupt looked back at him, and grinned lightly. " You." She teased. "I do a lot of things while powered up. Read, watch movies, go out on the town. Try new foods and new things. Hang out with my friends. I do everything people usually do, and then some, while powered."

"Some brutes probably do." He argued back, weakly though because he didn't think so either. Since she kept talking, he kept his ears peeled while watching the alleys and streets for activity.
He couldn't say that he had already met the half youma, nor did he want her to know that the half youma had almost killed her AND him. Funny. Friends. Enemies to friends. He just didn't understand that.
It hurt in a way that he didn't understand really. Mostly he felt sorry for his sister. If Nadia had asked these questions, he was sure that the response would've make his sister cry. "Sounds lovely." He didn't know how else to respond when he wanted to tell her that those friends were the ones that corrupted her mostly likely.
Were they really friends?
He scrunched his nose up. "Only because you have brute strength over me." there was a pause and then a sigh. "But also take from others. Steal? Drain? At var?" He shook his head and his hand loosened in hers. His body tensing as he felt the same anger and sadness.
He was still stuck in the past with the 'truth' and she was in the future based on 'lies' and he was suppose to just keep feeding into them. He pulled the car to the side and parked. Even with the rain, he let go of her hand and opened the door.
"Keep eyes peeled." He masked the need to cool off with the pretense of needing do his job. He pulled the police cap at least and put it over already damp hair. "Do not be rash."

"Is that supposed to make me feel bad?" She mused when he pointed out that she had the strength advantage over him. "Because also like my out of control behavior, you like that as well. I'm also just doing my job." She replied simply to the other questions. The corrupt glanced down at their hands, and even as his hold loosened, she could once again feel that tenseness in his body that spoke of something else. For the moment she didn't say anything of it, and let go of his hand when he let go. A part of her was surprised that he wanted to take her along on an actual on foot patrol, but she didn't delay. Still slipped out of the cruiser, shutting the door behind her. She quirked a brow at him. "I'm following your lead, Officer." Don't be rash? Well. He'd see how she operated...if they ran into any trouble that is. The words being said, the corrupt came around the car and fell into a step a bit behind him, off to the side. She didn't mind the rain, letting it soak into her uniform. Eyes did start to scan though, and so far, she couldn't pick up on any other powered signatures, so that was good. After a moment, she asked, softly, "What are you mad about this time, Sergei? You tense when you are."

"Outta control." He gruffed as she followed him out. Unlike his normal gentlemanly self, he didn't offer his jacket to put over hers. In their powered forms, Still wouldn't suffer the same consequences he would for being cold and wet.
"That vould be first." He muttered as she joined his side and he pulled his flashlight out. There wasn't much activity and he wasn't sure if there was going to be, with the rain being a huge factor at driving homeless inside. With no homeless, nega agents didn't have easy prey.
It also probably helped that Still's aura kept any weaker nega's away.
"Mad is not right term," He said, moving the flashlight around. "Annoyed? Ah....Bothered?" He shrugged his shoulders. "You have friends, new friends. But cannot think of old friends. Is hard to move from past to future vhen I have seen both." It was the same old.
"my sister vas friend. It's hard to hear that you don't remember that you liked her, or time spent vith her." He looked over his shoulder at her now. "Do you understand? Vhat you ask everytime ve together?" He took his hat off and ran a hand through his hair before replacing it. The flashlight neatly tucked away in his belt now.
There was no neat spaces for Still now.

She didn't say anything to the mutter. It'd just be redundant to point out that she wasn't that person anymore. Stillwaterite didn't do rash. The corrupt listened, eyes following the beam of his flash light around as he shone it this way and that. Her eyes narrowed as she thought she saw some dark beastly paws scuttle further into the darkness as the light passed over them. Youma, most likely. Perhaps it was weak and didn't want to test its luck with her there and with the rain. "Spotted a youma...there might be more, so just be aware." Earlier that evening, Still had ditched her hat since it made sitting in cars impossible. With the rain falling, she reached to run her hand hand through her hair, pushing wet bangs away from her face. She looked back at him, and her expression was neutral, lacking her usual smile in his company right now. "Will I always have to deal with you pulling away from me when I try to talk about my life now?" She knew he hated when she answered a question with a question, but she felt it was important to point out in response to his sentiment. She looked away from him, moving her gaze back to where she had seen the youma prior, just in case. "It's not easy seeing people who used to know me. I'm not ignoring the pain they feel when they see me...but I simply can't feel what's not there. Will you continuously hold that against me?" She trailed off for a moment, and her lips pressed into a firm line briefly. "I'm...talking to some of those people. Ones who also used to know the person I used to be. There's been a few...friends, so far. I'm not opposed to trying to get to know them." Again. "So there's that. If you have your side, and I have mine, where is our middle, Officer?" Because she was doing...something.
