Physical Description: Siv strikes most as being like a tall tree. She's not slender or conventionally beautiful by any means, being someone out in the sun often with tsandy blonde hair in a shaggy, shoulderlength cut, with larger bones and a good amount of muscle to back things up, built up from being born in an area where hard work was common, leading her to follow the path of crafter to learn to make things to help lighten the load-- things like water wheels, better ways ti cook, and the like. She favoirs the color red and dresses in pragmatic red tunis with white or yellow trim, and pants. Always pants.
Personality: Siv understands the importance of hard work, and the importance of communication. She's thus friendly, open, hardworking, and listens to what others say when talking to her. In terms of working with others, Siv is capable, and dependable, managing to function on a level many would consider a modern era soldier if needed, while other times being quite relaxed and silly.Siv, in general pays attention, thinks, and makes careful decisions regarding her habits, including but not limited to major and minor choices -- she tries working out ramifications, but isn't always good at it.
One of Siv's goals is to make her family proud, leading her to make as many responsible choices as possible, but she still has the fact she's human working against it, so she often gives it her best. When [people matter to her, she looks up to and respects them, but she can be sensible about it -- if she sees someone she admires mess up, she tries to find out why, and rarely finds reason to punish them, thought it is possible to do so for her. Similarly, if faced with someone she dislikes, she's capable of offering an open mind -- and differentiating between a grudge and simple business. While young, Siv sometimes seems older than 16 turns.

History: Siv grew up in a poor cothold in an area away from Benden Weyr due to a night between her parents due to a passing Flight. While her parents remained good friends, after weaning, her grandfather on her mother's side placed her in her father's care, wanting little to do with his grandchild, and durious with his daughter. Siv was raised in a poor but loving home -- her father hd many partners of both genders living with them in a comfortable polyamorous arrangement, and she began to learn both how to farm and how to use tools from an early age. The eldest of no less than 6 children in the home, Siv spent time learning crafts from her father, intending to create tools to make life on the home fgarm easier for her family, if just a little bit.
The coming of Thread was a difficult wake-up call. The crops were severely decimated, her family nearly killed, and Siv herself was almost killed, barely making it to safety. Since, Siv began pouring energy into finding a way to protect her family, sinking her fingers into every possible machine, tool, or item that might help protect against thread to better her family's living situation. It was during one such expedition that Siv met a dragonrider whom Searched her, and she bid her family a warm farewell, swearing to return either to visit as a Rider, or to live with a new tool to protect thnem from thread.
