All this reaching out proved useful for amassing research data, but incredibly poor for longer-term connections. Of all the people Scholomance met, Scylla stuck around the longest , followed by Encke— most other transcended senshi and knights fell by the wayside as one-off encounters. That bade poorly for Order if they intended to beat back Chaos even a modicum, and poorer still for research follow-ups.
Oh well, at least they each knew how they'd die. Scholomance accessed his ring interface with that thought in mind, his displeasure evident on his face. But a sour state was no place in which to write notes, he would learn, as he systematically drafted, rewrote, and deleted five correspondences.
The sixth, cleanly written, explained all he needed with none of the salt. And, pleasantly, it was shorter in all the ways he liked to ramble. Scholomance's knack for conversation dropped away somewhere within the third note, when he realized that his hand tired of the same topics written and rewritten. Finally he had a note worth sending.sami-fire Transcendent Eternal Sailor Megrez,
Your title and station are quite a handful for this old knight. A senshi by the name of Cor Caroli instructed me to meet with you, as your condition pertains to my research on transcendence. If you've the time, please meet me atop Friedman's Café at noon this Sunday. If you cannot make it and would like to reschedule, please call me at any time; I will return your call at my earliest convenience.
Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you should you accept my invitation.
Best regards, Knight Scholomance of Saturn Quote: Oh hey this is Scholo's 200th RP!

When Megrez saw the message on her phone, she blinked and squinted at it a few times. This was mostly because she rarely got messages from anyone who wasn't Sadachbia, and this one came as a surprise. Seeing that Cor Caroli (whom she still felt bad about accidentally beating up) had mentioned her name regarding the topic of transcendence made her wonder what her new contact’s research was about, precisely. Yes, transcendence, but was it a general investigation or focused on a specific subtopic? Well, she was as eager to find out as she was to provide was little information she could about transcendence. She sent a simple message back: Quote: Sure, I'll be happy to meet you! biggrin See you Sunday! When the day finally arrived, she looked up Friedman’s Cafe, and figured the spot wasn't too hard to get to. She also realized that Scholomance requested specifically meeting on top of the building, which made her a bit uneasy at noon, but two costumed weirdos might make more sense than one, somehow. Something about more occurrences making the thing look natural, or something. In any case, she approached the building from the back and gave a good Eternal Senshi leap on to the roof. Though she felt the Knight aura (yep, definitely a Knight and ostensibly not some kind of trap), there was a chance that her contact wasn't quite there yet, so she waited for him to announce his presence first. Strickenized Oof, sorry, got life punched. But yay for the big 200!

While Scholomance ran a touch late, he tried to make up for his lack of punctuality by showing his efforts to be there on time. And while he couldn't do much about, say, sleeping through his alarm, or the bleary hangover that still clouded his thoughts, Zalmoxis' presence demanded far more attention from his prospective meets than his bleary eyes or dulled mannerisms. The pale horse delivered him dutifully from one rooftop to the next, its disembodied gallop reaching denizens below and giving them pause, and in the better part of a minute, they crested Friedman's roof breathlessly.
Scholomance felt the auric energy flow like a river from his meeting partner for nearly a mile now. With, at last, a face-to-face introduction, he was able to place a body to the aura immediately. Megrez looked far more covered than the typical transcended senshi (as if there was enough of them to create a 'type'), with pants and gloves and a full-length shirt. Her hair was a blazing orange and her eyes a deep blue to contrast the neutrality of her uniform, which was its own pleasant change of pace from ostentatiousness like his own.
"Megrez, I presume." The knight dismounted from his horse, which soon unraveled into mist with its glow arcing back into Scholomance's bone charms. He measured a few paces before executing a bow. "I'm Scholomance, Knight of Saturn. For as much as that means, really.
"Thank you for meeting me here. I can grab us some coffee before we get started, if you rather like having something to wet your throat. Otherwise, we can jump straight into matters with a few questions about your transcendence. It's quite up to you."
