Camelot. She was looking for Camelot, a rare, almost excited smile on her face. There was a knight nearby, and she didn’t even make the connection that this wasn’t the Royal Knight she was looking for, so she made a B-line for whoever it was, leaping from off of the building she was on and teleporting mid jump, landing right in front of…
Of Richterite.
Cavansite blinked in surprise, taking a small step back. “You’re not…who I was looking for.” She tried to keep her voice even, tried to insert the right amount of…of whatever her voice used to sound like.
“Get lost before I add you to my collection, okay? Scamper off, little traitor.” He was a Cosmos Knight. He was a Knight, but…he was a Cosmos Knight…
Her hand moved to the starseed on her chest, stroking it with one finger, the display was meant to be a threat, but the gentle way she stroked it said otherwise. “Do you know where Camelot might be? I was hoping to have a word with him tonight. I felt you, and I suppose I forgot about the power difference. I just assumed.”
Cavansite wasn’t looking at the knight, her eyes were elsewhere, expression far away.
She bit her lip, wanting to ask what his wonder was like. Wanting to ask to visit it as she had the other. Now wasn’t the time. Now wasn’t the place.
…She had things to do.

"Camelot? You know, that's a name I haven't heard in a while..." It was a name that Corvus had repeated to him; the name of an old Earth Knight he'd met as a Negaverse Officer, someone he had wanted to remember. He supposed that he should have sought the knight out over the course of the past two years... Two years... But putting his life together had taken a place of importance over finding distant memories to reconnect with (no matter how important the connections might have been). He then processed the rest of what she'd said, shaking his head with a soft laugh. "You found me, General. I was here first-- due to meet with someone in a moment or two," he bluffed. The agreed on meeting place was a few blocks away and he'd been in transit, but if he didn't show on time he had no doubt a search would begin. "I'm afraid I won't be getting lost this evening, but maybe we can continue seeing about whether or not the real you can be found?"

Cavansite paused, looking at him for a long moment. “…The real me, hm?” She enjoyed the sound of that. It made her feel strange. What sort of knight would she be? What would happen when…when things happened.
“You’re a Cosmos Knight, correct?” It wasn’t…really a question but…but. Reaching up, The General pulled the starseed off of her earring and held it in her hand, looking at it with no real compassion. “You can take this back and get it…recycled, or something, correct?”
Her other hand still covered the one on her chest, as though to protect it from harm in case she was wrong about all of this. “I spoke to Painite about you. She said you two used to be friends.”
Nothing was making sense. The words coming from her mouth just all seemed…random. Messy. Stupid. “You want to talk or something?” Because…obviously she did. Obviously…there were things she wanted to know. And this traitor…Mag Mell. He would talk to her. He had tried before…and now…she wanted to listen.
Kind of.

Painite. Another name that drew a ripple of remembrance. It was a nagging feeling of familiarity just beyond his reach and he wanted to say that he recalled more than that, but he didn't. Just the name and the stories that were told to go along with it. Dedicated. Dangerous. Friend. He was getting distracted from the subject at hand. She was throwing him off and he had to find it in him to be more cautious, less trusting. "I can return it to Cosmos if you're willing to let me do so." He wanted to add on that he could call upon the Guardian of the Cauldron right now and they could give it to her together, but he didn't think the time was right for that. Those corrupted by Chaos had to be willing in order to take that step. "What's on your mind, General? Other than old friends?"

Cavansite shrugged, crossing the distance between the two of them, holding out the starseed in her hand. “Take it then. Send it back to wherever. What…What will happen to it?” There was a slight edge of worry in her voice and she still covered the page’s starseed. She wouldn’t give her up unless she really understood what was going to happen.
“Old friends. Painite is my fiancé. So I just…thought. You’d like to know that she was unhappy to hear you left us…” Again she tried to inject some sort of bravado into her voice, but the attempt fell flat. “…Are you happy, Mag Mell? You’re honestly happy…where you are?”
Her eyes were on him, watching intently. “I can’t…wrap my mind around it. I feel so utterly…muddled. And I just…”
Finally, Cavansite pulled the starseed off of her chest. “…You’ll take care of her? If I give her to you, you’ll make sure that she’s safe? She…” The general closed her eyes, trembling slightly. “…She didn’t deserve what happened to her…”

"It will be returned to the Cauldron. She will be returned the Cauldron." It sounded so simple and so suspect all at once. How could he say that with such certainty without knowing? Without having been there himself? Because you have been there. In another lifetime. It was the way of things. It was how one made certain that they were able to be reborn again from one cycle to the next and he knew because he was here with few memories of the current life save for the new ones he'd been busy creating... Along with what he could recall of the Knight Mag Mell from the past. He reacted with a bit of surprise at the mention of this woman before him being Painite's fiancé. He'd relayed to Corvus that the woman was troubled, that he'd thought she was alone. It was good to know that she wasn't, yet... If Cavansite was good at acting, if Painite knew.... That was two Generals who could be hunting him now; one that could teleport here in seconds to the aide of her love. Trust your instincts. He extended his hand, offering it to her open, in peace and free of weapon. "I won't let anything happen to her. You have my word as a Knight, and as a Captain who had enough respect for your fiancé to have wanted to remember her."

Quietly, Cavansite put first the starseed from her earring into the male’s hand, and then after a long moment, put the one from her chest, the starseed of her first kill. The sweet little page who had just wanted to be friends. “…Take care of her, Mag Mell. I swear, if something bad happens…I will kill you.”
The General took several steps away when the starseeds were out of her hand, and for a moment she swallowed, clutching at her suddenly empty bow in horror, and finally looking away. “Fine.”
It was done. She was gone. Quietly, Cavansite took in a deep breath and forced herself to look at him. “…Are you satisfied now?” She had done the right thing. Cavansite was sure that this was the right choice…but…
But as her eyes found the small gems, she wanted them back, desperately. “…Though, I ask you give me something in return. It’s only fair.”
Stupid. She was a fool. The time for bargaining was over.

So caught up in whatever it was they were doing, neither the General nor the Knight seemed to catch on to the approach of the Page of Neptune. He had his spyglass at the ready-- ready to do what was anyone's guess, truth be told. It was better for spying and not really great for bashing, yet here he was ready to rush to the defense of the Cosmos Knight should Mag Mell find himself in trouble.
He couldn't hear what either of them were saying, but there was some sort of exchange going on. The General was approaching Mag Mell and if he could inch closer himself maybe he could figure out what was going on.
Bermuda, Page of Neptune, tripped over a bit of something or other lying on the ground in the alleyway. He stumbled into the side of a nearby dumpster, muttering a curse beneath his breath and looking entirely embarrassed as his actions finally drew the attention of the Knight, and most likely the General to follow. Whatever he might have said to the General, whatever kind of reassurance he might have given her, took flight the moment the page arrived on the scene. He'd known that there was a chance Bermuda would come looking for with him, but he hadn't thought the young man foolish enough to continue approaching after seeing him with a higher ranked Negaverse officer... Unless he was just that bad when it came to paying attention to energy signatures when compared to his own paranoia about being a powered individual. With a slight of hand he tucked the starseeds safely away, not giving the General a chance to change her mind despite their interruption. "Just in time. If you would be so kind as to join us. The General and I were in the middle of making an arrangement and I'm afraid I did not bring anything to barter with this evening. General--- I don't believe you've ever provided me with your name, so I can't introduce you properly to the friend that's been waiting for me." He kept an eye on Bermuda, just barely managing to keep the irritation from his voice as he waved the Page over. "Since you interrupted, your cravat, please." "My what?" He dusted himself off as he straightened out, casting a bewildered look at the Knight of Cosmos. The look he received in return was withering-- he knew the look well enough to know that he was in for a lecture, assuming they made it out of this unscathed.
The Page of Neptune tucked his spyglass beneath his arm, gloved hands coming up to fumble with his cravat as directed. The Neptune broach came first and the rest seemed like it was going to take him much longer to figure out. "This is over-complicated nonsense. I can't even tie a tie without watching a tutorial on youtube and you want me to..."
He was cut short by the knight reaching out to take the broach while he continued to fuss with the ruffled neck adornment. "Here-- to replace what's missing from your bow." He shined the cabochon broach on his starfield cloak before holding it out to the General as an act of good will, hoping that it would be enough to appease her for now. "Will that do?"

Cavansite had stiffened when she had felt the approaching aura. It was the Knight’s backup, she was sure, though…when the blue haired page tripped it was all she could do not to burst out into a fit of nervous laughter. What a fool.
Her eyes had strayed from the starseeds for just a moment to watch the male and make sure he was all right, though by the time she had looked back—they were gone and she frowned looking at the knight in front of her with a look of annoyance and some alarm.
He was too busy to notice though, too busy talking to the page, his friend obviously. Too busy…
Getting her a trinket.
Quietly she drew in a breath, already starting to shake her head. Trying to form the words that she just wanted the starseed back. At least the page’s starseed. She wanted her back. Wanted her to come back and to…
To what? There was nothing that could be done. Nothing that she could do to save her…
But this Knight could.
“Thank you, but I don’t need anything. I appreciate it but…I don’t know if I really…” Her hands were already reaching for the broach though and she held it gently, giving a soft, sad smile. “Thank you, Mag Mell. I appreciate it. And my name? I’m Cavansite.”
She looked at the page and raised a brow. “And who are you, Mr. Clumsy Page?” There was an almost teasing note in her voice and she felt herself starting to relax around the both of them, holding the broach gently in her hand for a moment before clipping it to her belt, a fond smile on her face as she ran her fingers over it.

The page looked to the Knight of Cosmos for guidance when it came to offering his name to the Negaverse General. Mag Mell had avoided using his name up until that point, although he hadn't thought much of it, but maybe...
When he saw the slow nod from the elder man he responded while reaching up to straighten his cravat, now sans broach. It felt strange without the weight at his throat-- strange, yet somehow liberating. Would he be lucky enough that it might stay away? Probably not.
"Bermuda, Page of Neptune." He made a vague attempt at straightening himself out, figuring in the long run he'd much rather be known by his name than have the General comment on his clumsiness throughout the rest of the encounter. He reached out to gently place a hand on Bermuda's shoulder, cutting the young man off before he could say anything else beyond an introduction. He hadn't noticed it before, but there was another aura lingering just around the edges and it was too close for comfort-- not because he distrusted Cavansite, but because a part of him knew what could happen if an officer was caught in civil conversations, borderline friendly, with the opposing team. "It has been a pleasure seeing you again, General Cavansite. We'll meet again and continue this talk another night? Say... Where we first met? A week from now at this time?" It was vague enough that anyone lurking nearby might not understand. If they were being spied on, if... Bermuda's lips pressed into a line as he looked between the General and Knight, pondering whether or not he could protest the idea of Mag Mell setting up a date with a Negaverse officer. He didn't think that the Cosmos Knight was stupid, per say, but he could question is sanity... Right?
It was another second or two before he caught on to the presence that had caught Mag Mell's attention. His brow furrowed, the expression on his face becoming one more of concern than any sort of judgement. He knew that patrols, especially ones with the Knight, came with a risk, but he really didn't want to get his a** kicked tonight if it could at all be avoided.
"Hope the broach serves you better than it did me, m'lady."

There was almost another smile on Cavansite’s face. Almost a look of…of true happiness. Of excitement. Perhaps—
The smile faded when Mag Mell spoke, when he cut off the friendly Bermuda, For a moment, a remote coldness entered her eyes and a flash of anger, though it cooled slightly as she, too felt the chaotic aura.
Damn.
Slowly, the General nodded and after locking eyes with both knights, teleported away, not saying another word.
She didn’t get out tonight. But the starseeds had been returned…perhaps…perhaps next week…she could bring Painite. Perhaps the both of them could find redemption…
Perhaps both of them could get out, could start over with a small handful of…of friends. They could start a new life together and…they could honestly be happy. Free from chaos.
Safe.
