If this ended in flames, Magiore thought he might strangle someone.
He fiddled with the silk tie around his neck for what was the third time in as many minutes, unlooping it and then reknotting it so that it fell to the right place again against his chest. Then he redid it a fourth time because he couldn't decide what looked right, and then finally gave in and left it the way it was, because it wasn't about the tie, it was about everything else.
He was nervous. He was never nervous, and this was not a thing that should have made him nervous, and yet he was nervous. Magiore's hands kept shaking because he couldn't quite calm himself, in spite of everything, and the little room he was standing in was feeling overly warm and claustrophobic.
He took a deep breath in, and then out.
This was silly. This wasn't anything mind blowing. This was not a Negaverse operation, or a matter of life and death, or a foray into Mirrorspace where the chances of survival were minimum. This was not his powered life, this was not him as General Aurostibite.
This himself, Magiore Carpenter, and his soon to be wife, Sun Durumi.
It had been so long. How long had it been by now?
Almost four years. He'd met her four years ago, and now...now at last she would be his and he would be hers and the world might not stop for them, but it was his world coming to rest in the palms of his hands. He had not known it was possible to have something like this.
It was going to be small. Simple. Nothing extravagant. Close friends and family. That was it. Magiore's parents were both abroad, and while he cared for them and loved them, he had never been close to them anyway. They would send flowers later. Durumi had lost her family after she'd turned into the Dark Mirror senshi she was now. All they had now were a few to turn to in times of need and that was it.
Magiore did not need more than that.
It was a church, because in spite of neither of them being particularly religious, the church was both quaint and lovely, not to mention affordable. It was not a religious ceremony, but a secular one simply held in a pretty and sweet building with stained glass windows and only three rooms - one main room, one back room - where Magiore currently was - and the front office, which was where Durumi was currently getting ready. It felt more like a cottage than a church, in a quiet and secluded area just outside of the city, which suited just fine.
Magiore looked at himself in the mirror again and then took a deep breath.
Almost time.

Hel Selie was currently living her best life. She had been waiting for this wedding for forever. Ever since she had been asked by her former commanding officer to be apart of it.
She was over the moon.
Dark hair was already braided, and her bride's maid dress already donned. The eager beaver then went about propelling herself into every matter of the wedding she could. She loved weddings. Dark fingers that normally bruised held a surprising amount of gentleness as she fussed with some of fly away hairs surrounding the Bride's face. Tastefully done, of course. Hel was an expert in braiding, so she had worked on setting up Durumi with the best style she thought fitted the woman. Ugh. She was just so beautiful, it made her heart hurt. "You are so---gorgeous." She grinned to the woman with glee, her accent thicker than usual simply due to the sheer amount of excitement she was feeling. "So beautiful---ah! I vill be right back!"
Like she noted, every part of this process she was making her business.
Hel slipped out of the front office and immediately closed the door behind her. After all, no peeking! It was apart of the time honored tradition! She crossed the main room with hurried strides to reach the back, and opened the door, poking her dark head in, locating the groom.
"Magiore!" Hel barked, and it was a good thing they weren't in Negaverse uniform, "You better not mess vith your tie again! I vas vatching you do it when I was in here last! Too much! It is fine! Leave it be!" She made an 'I am watching you gesture' and then immediately slammed the door to head back to the front office.
Durumi didn't know where her head was at, but it certainly was not on planet Earth anymore. 4 years of struggling, of battles and fights and challenges. 4 years, she thought since they had both suffered from the memories of a future that is not the same as it was today. In that dream, they hadn't been married, she hadn't swapped sides. A nervous hand fluttered down. She had been pregnant, and died before ever giving birth to their child. A child that would have never...
She shook her head, taking a breath as Hel, fluttered around her. She didn't have many close girlfriends, not after she swapped sides and the ones she thought were close to her had left her. Amytis was still around, but heartbroken. She hadn't reached out like she should.
But Hel was here, and Mag's sister, and Levi was around some where as well. Tatsuya was probably getting ready himself and she closed her eyes.
So many things.
"No, I think I am okay Hel." She reached out to the darker woman, taking her hand in her own and squeezing. "You have been so wonderful to me. Thank you so much for helping me prepare." It was a small wedding, in the back yard of the shared home of herself, Mags and Tatsuya. The mansion's gardens had been decorated carefully with paper origami, lights and color.
Even if there was only a few of them, Durumi wanted it to be special.
"I hope Levi is okay too, I hope Mags isn't having trouble with his tie." She breathed in, standing to take one more look in the mirror at the dress.

Tatsuya poked his head into the room, adjusting his tie briefly. His black hair was pulled into a short pony tail at the nape of his neck, a silver bangle around the tie. His tux was a little worn - a rental that may not have been treated well by its previous wearer - but still functional and he had somehow fastened a flower thing to his lapel. A boutineer, he thought it was called?
Durumi and Magiore were getting married today.
It was odd. He knew it was going to happen, when he'd seen them together, and in the few memories of the future he had, but it still made him wonder sometimes. That people in this war could be happy and together and get married. So odd.
"... Do you need help with your tie, Magiore?" he asked softly, appearing in the mirror behind the groom to be. He gave a soft smile; it had taken some to warm up to the other man, but he wouldn't ask for a better friend, and a better man for his sister.

Magiore jumped guiltily at the sound of Hel's voice.
"I wasn't touching it," he protested, which was an abject lie because he'd been doing exactly that. Magiore dropped his hands away from it and glowered at her back as she scampered out of the door and back across the ground, presumably to tell Durumi to stop tugging at her veil or her dress or something.
Tatsuya's dark head of hair appeared in the mirror beside Magiore's own. He turned away from his reflection and gestured at himself, clearly a little bit agitated, trying to push away the nerves that threatened to take him apart at any second now. It was silly, really to be so nervous; it was ludicrous to be this uncertain, this antsy, because it was Durumi. It was the woman he had been in love with for years. The woman he had fought for, and bled for, and lived for.
And they had the people that mattered with them. Kodi was already ready, Magiore could hear her laughing from around the corner. He took a breath and smiled at Tatsuya, his best man; a man he had spent a long time coming to terms with as being important in Durumi's life and who now was just as important in Magiore's; a friend he could rely on, a brother in arms.
"Yes, if you wouldn't mind. I'm afraid Hel might kill me if I touch it again," he added, wincing slightly.

Being spoken to with such kind words, Hel had forgotten what that was like ever since she'd been assigned to be Pyrophanite's Cheetoh fetching b***h. It took her a bit by surprise, but she didn't let it show for long. Her fingers wrapped back around Durumi's hand easily, and she grinned at the woman. "It is my pleasure!" She announced, and truly, it was. She was having a blast, and this day was only getting started.
"I passed Levi in hall. He seems fine." At the mention of Magiore and his tie, Hel scowled, briefly. "He keeps fussing vith it! I told him to stop." As the woman stood, Hel couldn't help but reach out to smooth and touch the lace of her dress. Damn. Weddings were so magical. It was everything splendid given physical form. She loved them so much, and this beat reading about them in the magazine any day.
"You look so beautiful!" Hel cooed, admiring Durumi's radiant figure in the mirror as well. From her hair to everything. Ugh.
"Is it time soon?" She asked eagerly, her eyes nearly sparkling.
