Oh man.
While tonight hadn't been bad, it hadn't been the best either.
Knot was neck deep in getting taught the trade by one Dallas, and had been with the man for a few big jobs already. Tonight? Some goods needed to be retrieved from the shadier part of town, and Dallas had said she'd be more than capable of handling it herself. If she was worth anything, was the unspoken implication she had picked up from that conversation. Well she did it---but she was quickly realizing that she needed to adapt to being just as capable as Stillwaterite as she was in her skivvies.
It was definitely harder when she didn't have super speed or super strength.
The woman jogged out of an alleyway and into the street, carrying a duffel bag and glanced behind her to make sure there was no one following her. There'd been some guys---a little too many---so she had powered up, but then that had been a problem because she sensed a knight level aura that was heading her way. Her energy was also low from extended use that evening, and she wanted to reserve some for just in case.
She paused on the sidewalk, one of her cheeks stinging. She reached up wipe it with the back of her hand, and looked down at it as it came back smeared with blood. Oh. She hadn't even felt it when it happened. Yeah. She definitely needed to work on her skivvie defense skills...
Knot glanced up towards the buildings rooftops, idly wondering if she'd spot whoever the Order signature belonged to.

It had been a quiet night for Sergei, the police officer so the switch to Beringia...the knight had come right after his shift. The knight, as in literally a knight now, he was sure since his outfit had changed and his weapon had become some sort of pointy scroll with latin scribes of justice.
Fitting for the knight.
He almost left the area, until he felt the flash of aura similar to his own and narrowed his eyes. He didn't think it to be Still, as it powered up and disappeared with all in moments of each other.
He headed the general direction but since there was no aura? He moved quickly through rooftops and alleyways. At first, he almost missed the white haired civilian, but his eyes dropped and he saw a cut on her cheek. Perhaps she was escaping the aura?
He dropped right in front of her, holding out a hand, "Are you okay?"

Seemed to be okay--- The sound of someone hitting the ground had Knot's head whipping around, and her eyes couldn't help but widen briefly. Though, she supposed she was lucky that the look of surprise could pass for the shock of someone landing right in front of her and not the shock of recognition. It was Beringia, and the tantrum throwing squire had upgraded. Well, well, well then. Looks like she'd have to take him a tad more seriously if she crossed paths with him as Stillwaterite again. She glanced down at his gloved hand, expression relaxing as a brow quirked. "Oh, I'm fine." She assured. "I don't think you are though. The Destiny City Ballet Company is on the other side of town, Tsesarevich." Wow, count her blessings though. He didn't know who she was. She just needed to play it cool. Like Morgan. Morgan was so good at playing it cool. "Didn't know the Russian Ballet was in town."

Beringia didn't expect sass right away but gave the woman credit. If she had been running and in trouble, he'd be wary of a man coming out in a ballet suit as well. Well....
The cape was a bit much and he suddenly had a bunch of medals so...."Nyet, not looking for russian ballet." He was briefly amused. just briefly though. "Didn't know it vas either. Vhy, are you looking to join?" His gaze looked past her as her followers caught up.
"Are these your friends?"

He had a sense of humor!?Her lips twitched at the fact he was teasing her, and a very soft laugh escaped. "No need to join when---" Knot's gaze cut to where the Knight's suddenly moved to, and her brows knitted briefly. s**t. There had been more hiding somewhere? She hadn't thought there were anymore when she'd scouted earlier as Stillwaterite. She had a lot to learn still, and lessons like these were good teachers. "No." She replied, and took off at a run past him. "But they're going to be your's if you stick around." She called back at him. She wasn't worried for him. He'd either flee or he could mow them down. She needed to get out of dodge though.

Beringia didn't wait either and wasn't sure what kind of friends she had. Since he didn't feel the aura of the eternal anymore, he casually ran after the girl before sweeping her up in arms, with her bag and leaping away.
It was probably quicker this way anyways.
"So. Illegal activity?" He smirked at her, "Running drugs? Don't struggle, vould drop." And since he was leaping over buildings with her in tow, he was pretty sure her struggling would be the worst.
"You have blood on cheek, should take to hospital?"

Well, she hadn't expected that. Knot gasped as she was suddenly lifted in a pair of well defined and strong arms, only to be be held against an equally well defined and strong chest under the uniform and ritz. Instinctively she cradled the duffel bag against her, but her other arm couldn't help but wrap around the knight's neck to hold on. She also kind of hated that being literally swept off her feet again had the butterflies in her stomach going. On top of that he was smirking and ugh. Why did he have to be built like her type. Not an ideal situation. "No." She drawled, composed despite the circumstances. "It's my overnight bag for grandma's house." Knot replied. "Awfully presumptuous of you to assume otherwise, Tsesarevich." She didn't struggle, and glanced down at the city blurring underneath them before looking back at him. "No." Knot answered again. "It's a shallow cut. It'll be fine." There was a pause. "So, you make it a habit of sweeping in to rescue strangers?" A brow quirked. "If you're not really apart of the ballet, you should consider joining. Bet they'd kill to have someone who could leap like you do." Maybe she should have acted surprised by this show of speed, strength and agility but...well, she wasn't, and couldn't pretend to be.

"Uh huh. Are ve pretending to be like red riding hood." he asked mostly for conversation, but he was focused on getting a few good miles away from the men so they couldn't find her. "Grandma must be loaded." He waited a few more jumps before he landed and set her on her feet. "Pretty women don't go fleeing from men with giant duffels filled with mysterious somethings."
The second no made his head quirk and look at her again. A hand came up to gently cup the cheek, wiping away some of the red with the white glove, only for it to reappear again. "I make habit to save those in needs." He frowned before patting his persons and then his pockets. As he did, he pulled out a hankerchief from his uniform and offered it to her. "Very stuck on russian ballet, are you sure you don't want to join?" he smirked again, "I've vould make dashing prince, I am sure."
He waited.
"Vhat vere actually doing? There are vorst dangers out there than men." He crossed his arms, looking her over. "Don't try to run. Can catch you again." He smirked, "Vill drop off in front of police station, duffel for grandma and all."

Dealing with him like this was like night and day. Knot just laughed, and when he set her down she adjusted the bag under her arm, and smirked back at him. "Oh? You think I'm pretty, hm?" Though Beringia, damn him, just kept surprising her. The gentleness in which he cupped her cheek made the butterflies flutter once more, and she blamed it on those pesky fragments of memories and feelings she had attached to the Knight. Knot stared at the handkerchief for a moment before she took it with her free hand. "...Much appreciated." She wadded it up, and pressed it against the cut as she looked at him. "No. I don't want to join, but I'd actually go to a show if you were in it." She rolled her eyes up to the night sky. " Oh, you would make a very dashing prince." Black eyes rolled back towards him. "Especially if you did your good deed and let me on my way." She smiled at him. "You know, right now is a moment in which a pretty woman would flee from a man with a giant duffel filled with mysterious somethings...if he wasn't threatening her, of course." She grinned lightly. "Going to the police station would be a reward. I love men in uniform." She trailed off for a moment, contemplating her options. She knew she was stuck until he decided to let her off the hook...so..."A pick up and delivery." She answered. "It's how I make money. I'm a courier of sorts." Of the illegal kind. "Someone's waiting on this duffel, so it's not going anywhere with you, because then I'd get in big trouble~" Knot quirked a brow. "And do you have a name, my oh so charming Russian Prince, or should I just address you as your highness during our time together tonight?"

"Yes." He didn't understand why women needed confirmation, so he moved on and tilted her head this way and that so that he could make sure her cheek didn't scar. It would be a shame after all.
"Too bad, do not vaste the money." He waved his hand around, The eye roll made him laugh a bit. "Do not think so?" He shook his head, "No can do. If just let leave, don't knov vhat other trouble get in."
"I vill take you then. Done and Done." He opened his arms and gestured inside to them. "It is Beringia." more sheepishly, "I am a knight of the Polaris Princess."

She let him tilt her face this way and that, watching him bemusedly in the time being. Too bad she couldn't assure him with her advanced healing. The same he shared. That little scratch would be gone in no time and not leave a trace. It wasn't the first, and it wouldn't be the last. "Yeah, I think so." She winked at him, and followed it up by cocking her head curiously at his suggestion. "Wait..." She started. "...Are you offering to take me to my drop off location for this bag?" Knot paused. " And not the police station?" Nice though he had been so far, she didn't put it past him to try to trip her up with wording. "Beringia." Knot echoed, though she had already known, and smiled. "A pleasure, so far." Her free hand raised so that she could do some air quotes. "You wouldn't happen to be one of those 'magical terrorists' would you? Serving a Princess none the less, hm? Are you sure this isn't some kind of zany Renaissance Fair cult instead?" She teased, and after a moment followed it up with: "And I'm Knot."

"Yes." He waited still with outstretched arms. "Vhy so veird? Rather drop you off on job then take to police. You didn't kill anyone did you?" For someone of justice, it was hard not to take her in, but she had her reasons. And for all he knew, she was probably running from negaverse. If he dropped her off, they would find her immediately. "yes. Pleasure. Surely the Sass is pleasurable." He continued to smirk at her.
"Do not knov these terrorist."
and then followed with,
"You're not vhat?"

"How is it not weird?" Knot asked, a bit of laughter coloring her tone. "We're practically strangers and I have a feeling you're really about following the rules. You can't blame me for being suspicious that you'd want to help me out and it doesn't end with you putting me in a jail cell." She smiled. "No." She hadn't killed anyone...yet, tonight. "No, the sass is teasing. Not at all pleasurable." After a moment though, she was resigned to how things were going to play out. For some reason, she believed him when he said he wouldn't turn her in. Knot hummed at his denial of not knowing the terrorists, because she didn't believe that, period. The woman closed the distance between them, sliding the bag under one arm and curling her other arm around his neck. She let her body press against his, since she was there, and was going to make the most of it, and couldn't help but feel like being pressed against him was familiar. It was very odd. "Hey, this part is pleasurable." She teased lowly (but it was true), her lips close to his ear. "Also, I find it pleasurable that you're about to be an accessory to my illegal deeds." Knot paused, and then laughed softly. "That's my name. It's Knot. With a K."

"I don't know." He shrugged and then he squinted, "Yes, perhaps I am 'rule follower'-" He kind of had to be when he served the side of order AND the force deemed order by civilians. Rules were hard to break when you were a police officer with sights set on what you do every where. "Jail cells are helpful." He smiled at her. "But not the time for it."
When she came to his arms, he actually had an odd sense of deja vu. Like maybe he recognized her. He hadn't honestly though, so it was surprising to feel that way. Once she had a good grip, he lifted her into his arms like she weighed nothing. Benefits, he thought, of being ex-navy and the strength as a knight.
One eyebrow rose and the smirk return. "Please Knot." He emphasized on her name, "I am just helping a pretty woman get where she needs to be." He shifted her and turned his face to look at hers. It was almost eerie that she reminded him of what Olga might've looked like if she had grown out of the childishness.
But this wasn't Olga, he knew for sure. Olga was dead, and he'd have to accept that and stop looking for her in every white haired woman he met.
"Hold on tight." He rumbled in a deep russian accent, as he stepped off the building, using it as leverage to the next ones.

" So chivalrous." She couldn't help but purr. "It's a good thing I'm not ugly, or I'd be out of luck tonight." The woman teased. Being lifted and carried like she didn't weigh a thing was a rather crazy rush though. Granted, being partnered up with someone who was powered while she wasn't was also something of a rush. Did Sergei feel anything like this when she was Still? Knot looked back at him when he looked at her, and she held his gaze. She kind of wished she knew what was going through his head, but she had her own thoughts to attend to. It was fascinating to see another side of the knight after her few run ins with him as Still. This advantage of being a stranger to him when she was in her skivvies was outrageously interesting. After all, even if their last meeting hadn't ended well, she was still interested and curious about him. Still had fragments of memories and feelings attached to him. Like Sergei, he also had known the person she had been... Her arm tightened around him as he spoke to her, and the adrenaline rush kicked in as he was off again. In control, as well. Knot rested her head against his shoulder, enjoying the ride, and occasionally murmured directions to him to help guide him towards the drop off location.
