Name: Colin Fairweather Nickname: Collie, Lin, Linzi Gender/Pronouns: Male; He/Him/His Age: 17 Birthday: January 8th Sign: Capricorn Gemstone: Garnet Blood Type: B+ Fav. Food: Unicorn frappuccinos, peppermint mochas, peppermint bark, red velvet cake donuts with cream cheese frosting, cake pops, edible glitter, sprinkles straight from the jar, bacon, most fruit, sushi Hated Food: Fatty meats, chicken, gravy, most vegetables, applesauce, other puréed foods, cooked fish, lemon or lime, cilantro, pasta School: Meadowview Hobbies: Liveblogging: A day or night out of the town for Colin just isn’t complete without his phone or camera and a daily update to his vlog, The Fairweather Report. Despite the serious name, it’s basically a glorified diary of everything Colin thinks is worth sharing with the world. What he eats, where he goes, and the city’s latest events are just some of the things he includes, but he isn’t afraid to go a little deeper! Midnight run through the city’s most “haunted” places? Absolutely! Interviews with the whos-who of Meadowview? Sure, why not? Babysitting: When Colin’s father remarried to a woman with a young daughter of her own, Colin quickly found himself watching her most weekends while his parents went on dates or worked. When he got older, a shortage of babysitters in his area gave him the idea to start babysitting for his neighbors, and it wasn’t long until he started getting calls. He absolutely adores his job, even when the kids behave more like animals than humans, and is seriously considering a career in childcare once he graduates high school. Beauty and Fashion: Colin has an eye for fashion and a love for makeup that started with Halloween glitter and evolved into a daily ritual of skin care, eyeshadow hoarding, and endless internet playlists of make up artists doing the latest trends. He loves expressing himself with bright colors, treating himself to new clothes, and giving make overs to anyone he asks (especially the kids he babysits), but knows that some less tolerant people will always find a way to argue that it’s wrong. He’s learned not to give into the trolls now that he’s older, and with the support of his family, he plans to keep his love of beauty alive well into his old age. Virtues: Accepting: After dealing with social backlash for his interest in fashion and makeup growing up, Colin has developed a very open and accepting stance on life instead of allowing himself to withdraw and push others away. He doesn’t judge people based on first impressions and makes an effort to get to know more about someone who comes from a different culture or background than he does. However, this isn’t to say he’ll be tolerant of prejudice and hateful people. There’s a difference between understanding and accepting clear cultural differences and lifestyles and pretending not to see the poor values and vile behaviors of others. Colin aims to see the good in all, but refuses to be ignorant to the very bad, too. Passionate: Everything Colin sets out to do, he does with gusto. He knows that if he wants something, he has to get up, go out, and make it happen, and doing it with his best foot forward is always the best option. He wants to love life with every fiber of his being and keeps trying to make that goal his reality ever day. Soft: Colin is an adorable, goofy, little sweetheart and and most of those that meet him come to learn this. He can’t help but turn into a big pile of mush when he sees baby animals or if one of the kids he babysits asks him to read them a bedtime story or sing a song. How can he not cry at a wedding, movie, graduation, or if his favorite sports team wins a game? If something tugs at his heart strings, he’s gotta answer the call and dissolve into a dorky puddle of happy babbling! He can’t stop, it’s the law! Flaws:Dramatic: To Colin, the most mild of inconveniences might as well be the end of the world. Did the weather suddenly change and now he has to wear an ugly raincoat over his brand new outfit? Maybe the subway’s delayed and he has to deal with being late for something? Did he, God forbid, misplace his favorite compact mirror again? He might as well shrivel up and die! How can the world expect him to pull himself together when his plans were completely ruined? Nevermind if he actually got to where he wanted to go or if he eventually found what he’d lost! The fact that he had to deal with the frustration at all is the problem here! Over-indulgent: What’s life without a little indulgence once in a while? Boring, according to Colin. In fact, why should he stop at only once in a while when he can have the best and most of everything he wants all the time? He’ll have triple the whipped cream on his frappe and four cake pops, please. Oh, and ten pallets of that new glitter blush kit, just in case he loses a few. Actually, make that quadruple the whip, six cake pops, five new outfits, AND ten of those pallets. He’ll just charge it, no big deal! Self-absorbed: Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? Colin. No doubt about it. He’s got the looks, the charm, the charisma, everything you could ever want and more, and no one can ever hope to top him. He's constantly going on and on about himself, what he's doing, and how important, wonderful, or kind he is. Have you heard about all his accomplishments? The amount of followers he has? How about the time he won that competition? It's almost impossible to get him to shut up once you get him started. People around him can find this to be very annoying, alienating, and borderline insulting. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: Bright, wide, and russet brownHair: Short, curled, and shaved on the sides; Rose gold; GlitteryFace: Androgynous in shape and soft/gentle; Skin is a medium tan Body Type: Largely androgynous; Lean and toned but not terribly muscular; 5'9" Clothes: K-pop street style inspired with lots of colors and sweatshirts; Likes to lean for a mid-way point between masculine and feminine; Florals, glittery patterns, holographic shoes and accessories.

Senshi: Sailor Xanthippe, Senshi of GlitterChallenge: "Time to liven things up!" // "Glitter bomb incoming!" Fuku Colour: White Main Color: Sunset gradient glitter, like this or this Secondary Color: CC (The main has a lot of color; I fully trust the artist to make the best choice here!) Fuku: - You are free to put as much glitter as you can tolerate on him. I know it's up to the artist to define how much and what's reasonable, but I really mean it when I say you can go absolutely wild.- My dream template for him would be M31 (Because it’s just SO dynamic and it would show so much MOVEMENT...), but with the face edited so he’s grinning, excited, and doesn’t have furrowed brows. I don’t know if that can be done, but I hope it can! Collar -- CC Bow -- Front and back bow, CC style Bodice -- A croptop that sits above his belly button, to show off his star shaped belly button ring. Sleeves -- Dancing sleeves; Glittery and sheer! Brooch -- A star, CC. Bottoms -- Short shorts with a skirt ruffle attached to either side, kind of like this or this, but a little longer. Tiara -- Star themed and sparkly, otherwise CC Choker -- CC, if any. Shoes -- Barefoot sandals (Aka, foot jewelry. Not actual sandals with soles); I'm thinking a style like this with the star shapes/some beads from this. Gloves -- Something like this, but they're connected to the cuff at the end of his sleeves and made of the same material. The middle could have a simple ring there, but that's CC. Accessories -- Random danglies that hang off on his clothes? Earrings? Other piercings? Totally CC. Have fun! Attacks: Sailor Scout Attack: Glitter Bomb! Xanthippe raises his arms outward and calls out his attack. A large ball of glittering light forms above him, taking the shape of a star, and is fired out toward an opponent. It explodes with or without contact, sending a blinding flurry of glitter out in every direction. Anyone caught by the attack may find themselves with minor abrasions or costume damage, but otherwise the effects are a possible stunning during battle and a higher possibility for a lingering cosmetic annoyance afterward. Uses: 3 Length: 10 feet Super Sailor Scout Attack: Glitter Missile! Repeating the same motion as before, Xanthippe forms a large star shaped ball of light and sends it out toward his opponent. It explodes once as before with or without contact, but this time it splits into two smaller residual bombs that follow the opponent or any others. The stars then burst into a flurry of glitter as before once the attack is through. The explosions can now cause small shards of hard glitter to appear that can cause cuts at close range, but otherwise the effects still lean more toward on the stunning and annoying side. Uses: 2 Length: 15 feet Eternal Sailor Attack: Glitter Bomb Shower! Xanthippe sways his hands toward the sky in star shaped motion while calling out his attack. A glowing light quickly fans out and blocks part of the sky over the battlefield. Then, a shower of tiny glitter bomb stars start raining down randomly from above. Hitting anything other than a character causes them to burst into a bright puff of glitter that can momentarily stun someone, while hitting an opponent OR teammate can cause minor physical damage and may leave glitter on them that will stay long after the battle is through. (Any temporary or permanent glittering of another character or their items/clothes is fully up to their player) Uses: 1 Length: The light before the shower isn’t actually changing the sky, only blocking the view of it for a a foot or so above people’s heads. ( Only people who are in front of him or in the range of attack will see this change. Anyone behind him/out of range will still see the sky as normal unless they move into range) The exact range is 20 feet by 20 feet from any angle and can only extend forward in rectangular shape from where Xanthippe is casting. The shower will not move with him and he can also get hit/damaged if he tries to move forward into it. Duration: 45 seconds

Hey! I'm not a mod, but I do know that spheres have to be at least a thousand years old. Glitter was invented between 1930 and 1940. HOWEVER cosmetics and adornments with glittering effects have been around since the beginning of time with minerals like mica, galena, and hematite, and even the shells of beetles. I think it'd just be a matter of renaming the sphere something like glitre or gliteren which are ancient words that the word glitter is derived from and refer to the light reflection effect of glitter and not glitter itself, which is what it looks like what you're basing your attacks on anyway.

Thank you so much! That was actually something I was worried about, so making the change from glitter to glitre is fine. It actually sounds fancier, too, which absolutely fits him.

Hiyo Bouquet! What a precious child! I must admit I have a soft spot soft, sweet blonds named Colin! Well, let's get started, shall we? At the time of this posting, the surname "Fairweather" is free and open to use - just keep in mind that as you've posted that this is an unacquired character quest, this could change by the time you are able to obtain a slot for him. You (and we staffers) will need to double check at that time that the surname is available (as well as the proposed sphere/senshi name - but those come later!) His hobbies look great over all! Very age-appropriate and cohesive for a bubbly 17 year-old boy (at least, how your Colin reads!) and very well thought-out. I do have one area that I'd like to discuss with you here before we can get him moving towards his best life in Destiny City. For Colin's 'Liveblogging' hobby - this is generally okay, but it becomes a little iffy when coming down to the 'Interviews with...of the town?' portion -- I'd like to see a bit of clarification here to smooth this out. If the meaning of the "who's who" is more like the "Who's Who of Meadowview" that's entirely appropriate as a 17 year old student is highly likely to have access to such things, but unless he's from an extremely wealthy family, works as a journalism intern, or has some other extenuating circumstance that would put him in the realm of 'Real Media', it is highly unlikely he'd have exposure to many 'celebrities' - even just the local ones - for actual interviews. Virtues and flaws are looking pretty good too, just a few little points to touch on here as well - shouldn't take much of your time at all. 'Soft' - You have it down that 'everyone' knows Colin is an adorable, goofy little sweetheart which is, unfortunately, a turn of phrase that is frowned upon. I would suggest changing this to read as "...and most of those that meet him come to learn this." (Otherwise it counts as god-modding other people's characters, which you cannot do). 'Vain' - Doesn't read as a flaw; there is nothing in this description that reads as a negative impact on this life - it just reads as aggrandization. There are several ways of correcting this: remove this flaw (and a virtue of your choice to even the numbers out; though in Colin's case I feel this one would be a bit premature as a selection since his virtues are all well interlocked), augment the descriptor of the flaw so that it reflects properly the negative manner(s) in which being a vain little cockerel affects his life, or chose a new flaw and expound upon that and use the vanity as a trait that is not a core flaw on his profile. For the powered side: Currently, Xanthippe is available (again, this will need to be double checked at time of acquisition). Glitre is, I am told, unfortunately not an acceptable sphere. Glitter, however, is! Interestingly enough, there was prehistoric/ancient glitter made of mica, galena, and other minerals. It just wasn't the micro PET environmental hazard we use today :3. Challenge is fine. I fear for Destiny City's street sweepers with all that glitter on the fuku. Costume is mostly CC, but what you do have called out seems fine. As a note, some additional glitter is fine to request, but please keep in mind that some artists may not take on a project with that much glitz involved, or might try to minimize it. In the end, all of our artists can use their best discretion on any given project to assure that it comes out well. We are absolutely happy to allow some body/hair/etc glitter in addition to a sparkling outfit if the artist that picks up the piece is willing to engage in such a time consuming detail (glitter and sparkle effects are neither quick nor easy to render, but we have several on staff that love them - please consider this simply a word of caution). On Xanthippe's attacks, they're written as though the usage is of the annoying-but-unlikely-to-hurt PET (plastic) glitter you can buy from any craft aisle. My suggestion, since that is not an acceptable part of this sphere and you've to go with the more ancient forms, to augment the castings to include small shrapnel damage - you would also need to change the size of the casting to be smaller since it would have more of a physical impact (even if it would still mostly be a cosmetic annoyance). The attack names and uses are fine, with the basic and super attacks neither needs a duration as they are 'immediate use' attacks (he casts, they happen - unless the duration is for how long the glitter lasts after casting, in which case that is also fine). For Xanthippe's eternal attack, however - I really do need a distance set down. How far from the point of origin does the casting extend? Is it a fan-shaped area of effect that gets hammered? How big is this area? 20 feet across and directly before Xanthippe? How deep? 10 x 10? 15 x 5? These are really important things to consider when setting up an AoE attack that settles like his does. The suggestions I've made for Colin are just that - suggestions. You don't have to take them precisely as I've lain them out - however, the issues I've pointed out will need to be corrected before we can get him stamped properly! Please feel free to quote me when you're ready to have me come back around for another look. I hope my input is helpful to you! -Sy

HELLO. I finally got around to making all the edits necessary, as well as making a few changes to his fuku form and civ appearance area. (New links for hair color and fuku form, refined ideas, etc)
I'm hoping he isn't TOO much. His muse insists that he isn't, but he's full of himself so... 8'D
Edit: Also added the new "body type" section into the civ form.

Hey! I'm back, and this time I'm staff so here we go. -cracks knuckles- Self Absorbed still isn't reading as a flaw to me. What it's missing is a description of how this negatively effects him and those around him. This is an easy fix, actually. People around him can find this trait annoying, alienate people around him, and he can even go so far as to accidentally insult someone with this flaw. For his super attack, we limit the possible radius to 10 feet. You can, however, up the uses to 3 for this one. For his super attack, we limit the possible radius to 15 feet. For his eternal attack, we limit the possible radius to 20 feet, or in your case, a 20 x 20 foot space.

HI. 8D I added an extra sentence at the end of "self-absorbed" and changed the radius of both his super and eternal attacks! (You listed super twice so I assumed you meant basic for the first one and because I already had it at a 10 foot radius for that attack, I didn't change it. Let me know if you meant for me to shorten the radius for that attack!)

This looks good to me, too! Since the basic and super magic are impact based magics, they don't need durations and the effects seem well written out, with some extra damage being optional per player desire. He seems like he'll be really cute, so I can't wait to see him!
