It had been... a while since she'd actually decided to you know...

'Power up'.

The whole senshi gig was pretty much too crazy, even for a dedicated LARPer like herself who now ran a decent cosplay prop etsy. And worked with kids at the rec center downtown. Some s**t was too wild, even by her standards. Yet, sometimes, you just needed to go out, jump over a few building and-

"YEET!"
She yelled, tossing the youma which had been a rather large lizard like thing into a trash compactor.
Which then proceeded to compact it as it was designed to do for trash that was less than alive and more... modern refuse. (though she personally figured a youma was trash enough to be suitable if asked). Youma disposal was like a game sometimes. You just... worked with what you found in your travels and hoped you didn't die in the fight before you found a save point.

Still short and dressed like a ballarina, Cancer was pretty sure that the moderate strength she had as a senshi wasn't so she could power lift a monster and toss it in the literal trash but hey- go with what you got and behind the bistro they had a trash compactor. Good enough.

It was weird though, powering up after so long and being well, powerful. Sadly, she missed a decent bit of experience as a result, which didn't help tip her off that she might had had company.
Or that maybe, she really ought to stop being so hyper focused.

He had heard yelling, some crashing noises, more yelling, and then something that sounded like someone shouting PETE which Celsus was quite certain was either a misheard screech of terror or possibly someone actually yelling after someone named Pete.

Patrolling on his own was a common thing for him, though these days, more often than not, he was with Corvus. Her work meant that she was there now, however, and so here he was, Celsus absently meandering through the streets, careful to keep an eye out for anything...untoward.

The yelling ad the crashing certainly fell into that category. That, and he could feel the stirrings of a power signature nearby, a tumble of an aura that seemed strangely familiar to him, though Celsus couldn't quite put a finger on it. There was something about the shape and feel of it that he wanted to identify because it tugged at something deep in his chest.

He rounded a corner just as someone came skipping back from what looked like a large trash compactor. Celsus slowed his steps, frowning slightly, and his gaze flickered over the other's brightly colored hair, the aura flaring into existence still more intensely.

His heart gave a little stutter.

"Cancer?"

There were, to her knowledge, very very few people who knew who she was in her magic suit. There was the cute princess and her posse- some of the folks who'd been stuck in space with her, Anders, (because he was her bestie) and maybe a cat? Either way, Cancer didn't exactly know a lot of people and a lot of people didn't know her.

So hearing her name out of the blue and suddenly being hyper aware that she wasn't alone was a trip. One that made her jump in alarm and spin to look at the source of the sound, trying to think who could possibly knew who she was.

And seeing? Well now that was a trip down memory lane. He was older, (which made sense), but the outfit certainly had changed. A lot. Not to mention he has markings all over his skin but-
"You, You're the guy who got killed first!" Because that was, honestly how she knew him.
"CELSIUS! Right?"

In spite of her continued absence, Celsus' loyalty in Princess Chronos had not wavered. He was a dedicated and unfailingly obedient knight to his lady, and even when she was not here, he would serve her. It only meant that, as time went by and she became more memory than reality, his loyalty and passion expanded outwards to include the Zodiac Soldiers, the Chronos knights, and then, eventually, the rest of the knights, as well as all of Order side. His primary focus had shifted, but the end goal remained the same.

So while had not been close to any of the Zodiacs save for Virgo (and sometimes his chest still ached thinking about her), they still did something to his heart that he couldn't quite explain. It was both a bittersweet sensation and a grounding one steeped in nostalgia and familiarity that was at war with the rest of his senses who tried to remind him that just because it was a member of the Zodiac, it did not mean that they were his friend.

But he did at least know of this one. She had run into him a few times before, though it had been several years since their last meeting. Celsus stared at her, his eyes wide with shock, trying to figure out if he was either hallucinating or just wistful.

He decided on the latter, rather than the former.

A smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Celsus," he said, and then winced a little. "Er, yes, that's...that was me. But you - you are Cancer, aren't you? Of the Zodiac?"

While Celsus seemed fairly well put together, Cancer was very sure that had she run into any other of the Zodiacs or her princess's knights, she might have been hesitant to linger and fallen apart mentally. Mostly due to guilt. She'd not been a good solider or protector of the surrounding. Heck, she hadn't been in years. Her outpost had been... painful in it's reminding of the past. Having after all, the memories of someone so recently dead, twice over, and having them literally give up their mantle and pass it onto you was one hell of a trip that didn't make you exactly feel comfortable hanging out with what amounted to the dead person's friends while the cosmos had judged you an adequate replacement.

Cancer wasn't always Cancer- and it was sort of a strange knowing that came with being just randomly chosen to take over for someone who no-longer existed.
Especially when you had said person's memories.

Yet that didn't mean she felt nothing for the knight who had as far as she knew, also experienced death and a very sudden rebirth and life as someone who they once had not been.
"I sure am." She grinned, walking over with all the confidence only someone lacking in shame could ********-" She said, finally standing next to the knight.
"You're tall now, and- heck you're all fancy too. Bet you're real popular with the ladies now." She smiled, though, even she knew it was forced.

"...Sorry I've not been around. It's-" She gave into the feeling in her chest and hugged the knight before letting go.
"Sorry. I just, ******** hell, I miss you guys. Is that weird? I bet it's weird."
