This...this was not the life Astrus enjoyed having! She hated seeing the pride suffer, her friends suffer and even her mother suffer. The poor gal was heavily pregnant, and when she said heavily, she meant it. How a lioness could look so big during a pregnancy amazing Astrus. She shook her head, not wanting to think about it. Astrus had other things to think about, and knowing her mother was off procreating with some random male was not one of them.
Shaking her head, a familiar scent entered her nostrils. Ah, she knew that smell. After all, when you had been that close to him, you couldn't help it.
Dark pink eyes narrowed until she found the form she was looking for nearby. "Oh, God of Conflict," Astrus purred, approaching the male she had spent a stormy evening with. "You look so...conflicted." She smirked, a small glint in her eyes.

Tanaka's mood had not much improved, grumbling to himself about annoying cubs and lost conquests. Damn it, he'd been having such a nice time until then, he was going to show that pretty lioness the best night of her life. And then he wasn't because that fuzzball had interrupted! Grrr!
Well, she wouldn't interrupt him now. He had left her stranded in a tree, that should buy him enough time to find another lady, have some fun, and then go save her from the tree. He did feel a bit bad though, she was just being a cub and it was sort of mean, but she deserved it! He'd make it up to her later, unless she figured out how to teleport...
He shook his thoughts to the back of his mind, a smirk crossing his maw. Ah, a familiar lioness. Maybe she was up for some fun tonight.
"Mouse, how nice to see you again."

The gesture didn't go unnoticed by the pale lioness. She smirked, nearing him, rubbing her side against the male. An invitation that she'd agree, but not quite yet. After all...
"Did you just call me Mouse?" She gave Tanaka a look of disgust, her tail tucking, as if to remove the offer from the table. If the God was going to continue using that name against her, she wouldn't offer anything to him.
Well, she might've, but he'd have to work a bit more. It wasn't something to give up so easily.
She sat on the ground, frowning. "And here I thought we were past those nicknames." She hated the name Mouse. That made her think she was weak. She wasn't weak, she was a damn Reaver.
"So, what was with the grumpy face?" She had noticed the expression change as well. Maybe he was affected by the Famine and having a bit of stomach pains as well? Unlikely, as much as his grump changed to a smirk. She shook her head, braid falling before her eyes. |

A smug grin, a snerk to himself. Ah, it was good to know he could still get ot her with that name. If it makes you feel better, you can consider it a term of endearment...in his own twisted way. At least he had not called her 'little' mouse?
"It makes us even for your puns."
He may have eyerolled at her pun, it had totally deserved calling her mouse. Fine, if it made her happy, and more importantly, got him some action, he'd stop calling her mouse...for now.
"It's nothing a little...company cannot fix, Astrus."
See, he was using her name, happy now?

Ah. Astrus was curious if all Gods were like Tanaka.
Well...maybe it was truly a guy thing. Umochozi seemed to be the same way the one night Astrus had spent with him. Unlucky (maybe lucky) for her, that fling ended with children. The one with the deity did not. Perhaps the God had more of an influence? It wasn't that Astrus did not want more children, but bringing them in the world right now probably wasn't the best idea. Nonetheless, it didn't mean she would stop. Especially when this particular God was around.
"Oh, is that so?" Astrus rose to her feet again, walking near Tanaka. "And, how long would this company have the pleasure of staying with you, Tanaka? Hmm?" Minutes, hours, an evening? It could hinder Astrus' response to his previous gesture if he answered incorrectly. |

Tanaka would have said there are no gods like him.
Oh, he could make cubs for her. Strong, brilliant, handsome fuzzy little monsters. Another night together and he'd most certainly leave her with the gift of such. He had already sired at least one litter of cubs in the stormborn, he was certainly willing to bring more little monsters into these lands.
"Well, I suppose that would depend on you."
A low purr rumbled in his throat, a seductive grin, he stepped toward the lioness, close enough to brush against her, for her to feel the heat from his body. He could certainly enjoy an evening of pleasure with her. He had the endurance if she did.

Astrus thought for a moment. During her silence, Tanaka had approached her. He was close enough for her to hear his purr. She felt herself leaning into him, a foggy glaze starting to cover her eyes. Ah, here probably wasn't the best place to get cozy. She pushed the God away, shaking her head.
"Not here." She said quietly. Sure half, maybe the majority, of the pride was in their dens, Astrus wasn't one to put on a display.
Her daughter had recently come home from her Viking trip, but one thing the paler female had told her mother was the hunger pains seemed to dissipate as soon as they were out of the pride territory. How much could one really enjoy themselves, if there were other pains wracking a body? By the looks of it, the famine did not affect the God. Oh how lucky he was.
She turned, expecting the male to follow her. She had no doubt he wouldn't. Her destination? Tanaka would need to ask to find out.
Whether the Little Mouse would tell him was questionable. |

Tanaka growled to voice his displeasure, he had not expected her to push him away nor did he appreciate it. He was not feeling especially patient at that moment, he might have done it right there if she'd let him. He did not care if others saw. ...Fine, he supposed he could be patient a little longer...
"Someplace more...intimate then?"
Alright then, he'd follow her, for now. His tail flicked, oh yes, he certainly liked her from that view, such a lovely a**. He lingered behind, following for a short time before moving to her side while still allowing her to lead. Where are you taking me, little mouse?
He was not thinking of the famine or its effect on the pride, nor was he thinking of how it affected the current object of his attention. He might have even forgotten about Nara still stranded in the tree where he'd left her. Oops?

Tanaka snorted, snapping playfully at her tail. If she kept flicking her tail in his face like that, well they may not make it as far as wherever she was leading him. What a tease, it was a good thing he liked her.
"Very well then."
He supposed she made a good argument, even if it was one he had not particularly cared about. Inside or out of the stormborn lands, he'd make her forget about anything else but him, she'd be far too occupied to think about famine or hunger.
"Heh, maybe you should be the one worried about keeping up."
A smirk, making it clear there was innuendo in his words. He moved at a trot himself, staying at her side. He was enjoying this game it seemed, but he was eager for the real fun to begin.
