Oh, you’re finally awake… The relief that floods Heimdath’s voice is nearly dripping, his sweet green distressed. I got so worried when you fell asleep and wouldn’t rouse.. I reached out to Ngawanth. Hers took you in. Heimdath leaned a bit into her sleeping sister’s side. It isn’t even sunrise yet. Please rest…
I will, my dear. But I only just woke up, too. Yet he felt as if Ramoth herself had stomped on his head. But he’s finally able to process the weight over his midsection. Y’qua raised his head, scrubbing his eyes in the vague darkness at the familiar form and wild crop of hair. Sure, Heim had said that V’gar had brought him down, but they’d actually stayed..? Eyes closed, looking peaceful aside from the occasional rough breath. So the flu had caught them, too..
From this angle, looking so peaceful… Faranth help him, V’gar looked so attractive. Color rose up his neck, curling around his ears like he might get caught on his own private thoughts. While it wasn’t the first time he’d thought them, it was certainly still a newer revelation. Everything was still fuzzy from sickness and sleep, but he can still recall how they looked on Ngawanth’s back, looking like they were made to be a-dragonback, so natural in the air.. His heart had been sent fluttering, like he’d seen his.. friend for the first time.
Gently, he pushes some of the braids from V’gar’s face, the gentlest touch down one of the many scars that graced their skin--emboldened by the brain fog that came with sleep, and that they were well into sleep as well. The feelings were new, but hidden well --they were one of his only friends, next to C’lusi. Feelings wouldn’t stomp on one of the few friendships he wanted to hold on tight to.
However, that position couldn’t exactly be the most comfortable, draped over the bed like that. Nor good for sleeping and chasing off what illness had touched them. With a strength that he wasn’t sure he still had with how exhausted he felt, Y’qua reached down to gently pull V’gar’s torso up towards him. “C’mon, V’gar..”
