Streaks of sunlight splattered across the ocean of gold as morning slowly began to break. The cool air from the night was slowly driven out by the warmth of day. The chatter of birds began to fill the skies as well, replacing the music that had once been made by crickets and the rustles of rodants in the underbrush.

A young male walked along, the large stalks of green and yellow parting around his large form as he went. His coat was a palet of the earth, with shades of grasses and reeds for the main color cropped with the dusty warm red of the clay and the black of stones. Despite this he was an anomali, for he didn't blend in at all with his surroundings. However, he didn't seem to mind in the slightest.

Mteuli had left the Jungle about a week ago on another small trip. He tended to do this very often-travel for a week or so then return only to go off and wander around again. It drove his twin brother crazy, but somehow he didn't regret any of it. He met a large amount of others as he went and it was always something he treasured. For he valued his experiences with other people far above all of his brothers nonesense about traditions and rituals.

Today he found himself enjoying his stole through the grasses and smooth smile firmly planted on his maw.

As the lenghts of the grasses slowly decreased, a figured could be seen sitting in the way of the winds, her coat standing out against the dried lands around her as the winds brushed through both her fur and the plants. All day, she had been sitting there, waiting for the wind to speak to her and tell of just why she met all of the new lions. Though Palesa wanted to complain, she knew that it was for a reason why she encountered the sweet and the sour, and so she found herself closing her eyes and breathing in the breeze.

For hours, she had sat in that same spot, her back in a relaxed curve as her tail moved only to keep her muscles from tensing. Her ears would swivle with each change of wind and tempature, though he body would not, and when she finally felt a major shift, she found her head slowly turning and her eyes opening to reveal peaceful brown depths. It was as if, all at once, she had broken from a medatation at the appearance of another lion who moved near. Keeping her gaze on the distance, she awaited for Mteuli to near her, or pass by a different path, but like always, she would not run.

Mteuli's nose twitched as he caught the scent of another on the breeze. His ears perked up slightly and he lifted her emerald orbs to look out across the grasslands to see a female lioness sitting as if she could wait for the world to end. He did notice that her attention turned ever so slowly onto him. So, it looked like he'd be having another encounter.

His smooth, silky smile remained as he loped along to meet her, his movements rather light and graceful for his bulk. When he came before her at last he swept his head low in a sort of bow, eyes sparkling brightly. "Why hello there," he murmured in a sweet, low, friendly tone.

Her brown eyes seemed to glow in a slight humor, realizing that she encountered yet another adult male of the lands around her. Shifting to fully face him, her heat tilted to the side as she blinked at his movements, surprised he would bow to her. As the wind caught both her pelt and his mane, she returned his gesture with her own little nod-of-head, before her voice spoke out like the winds she followed.

"Hello yourself." It was a whisper along the breeze, the tone flowing out in a gentle caress as she stood slowly and stretched her shoulders back. Feeling the light pop before her muscles sunk into place, she settled her brown eyes back upon Mteuli, a brow raising as a slow grin crossed her features, "Do you wander across these lands as well?" She finally asked him, still standing.

Within the few moments he had seen her Mteuli came to the conclusion that this female was very intune to the tones of the wind. Drawing such asumptions wasn't hard for the male, for he was a seer after all. It gave him a special sense of respect for her-not that he didn't respect her anyway.

"Yes, I suppose you could say that," he told her with the same smile he had held from the start. "I move around where my gentle road leads me and return home on occasion." He felt back onto his hind legs as he settled into a sitting position comfortably, "I'm called Mteuli. And yourself?"

She looked right back at him as he found out her love, though she was not a seer herself, she had learned on her travels just what the winds asked from her. Shifting her paws lightly, a slow smile crossed her maw at his words, for they sounded so much like herself.

"Just like the winds, there is always a time to leave, yet a time to return as well. If one does not follow these callings, they will forever miss on what fruits life offers to them." She seemed almost content to hear another had her views, for not many accepted her as a wandering nomad, yet as she looked at Mteuli, she felt an akin sort of simularity. All at once, she could almost believe that he too loved the journey through life as much as she.

"I am Palesa." She said with a deeper voice, her shoulders relaxing, "A wanderer that only follows the call of the winds."

He felt a similar feeling of kinship with the female as she spoke of the winds and the twisting paths of life that one could choose to follow or ignore. His brother never seemed to understand his longing to travel. He loved his home and he thought there was no place better in the world to live, but he liked to see the world and meet the people who lived there. Living was what he was best at, it seemed.

"A pleasure to meet you, my lady," he replied smoothly like the flow of water had control over his words, "I am honored to hear such mucsical and truthful words, much like the wind that you follow so loyally."

She smiled to him as he commented back, before she settled back down on her haunches. The winds picking up once more, they seemed to curl around both as she knew she was to stay, for now, and speak with the one she had just met.

"So, Mteuli, tell me of this home that captivates a wanderer such as yourself." She wanted to hear all about his home, if not for the new place, but to hear of a place where others are accepted. She has always been alone, with no pride nor family she could remember being a part of. It was almost more exciting to hear of a home than to hear of travels. It was like a dream to her, something she would never reach though it kept her feeling warm inside.

"My home?" Mteuli murmured with a small smile, his emerald eyes gittering thoughtfully. "Well...I live in a place where there are lush green trees everywhere and flowers of strange and unimaginable hues. There are birds everywhere, from small to large all decorated in bright colors. The land is blessed with rains as often as it is with the sun and the waters are clear and freshing in the pools where they reside. Never in my travels have I found a place more beautiful then my home...but what makes it special is it is where my brother and the rest of my pride reside." It was obvious he was fond of his home, but he didn't seem to be trying to exagerate either.

((Oh my goodness..>< Sorry for the delay, I am going to end this RP just because it has been forever! SORRY ; ; ))

She seemed to smile as she listened, until suddenly a bout of wind pushed past her pelt and send her eyes shut tightly. Opening them a moment later, she sent the other lion a soft smile before moving to pad past him.

"It is time for me to go, though hopefully my tavels will bring me to the paradise you speak of...it was a pleasure, Mteuli..." With a fleeting smile, she was on her way once more to find where she could belong.
