Paracelsian approached his patrols with a new wariness these days. He was going to have to view the world with a more critical eye if he wanted to put his plan in action. Any senshi or Knight that didn't respond to a polite request required extra thought. If they were not potentially helpful, they needed to be assigned a threat level and monitored accordingly. Small threats could be allowed to roam, or perhaps worn down eventually, but the big threats... well. They'd have to be dealt with more explicitly, one way or another.

Speaking of big threats, he felt a big bright spot in the distance, most likely a super senshi. He knew that approaching an enemy a rank up from him was a risk, but it also held a great deal of reward potential. Hopping the rooftops, he approached the senshi, wondering what would happen when he was detected.

Larissa was finally starting to patrol again after taking a month or so off from it. It had been nice to relax for a bit, and Alphubel had told her that the summer tended to have less Negaverse plots, as it seemed everyone wanted to relax during that time. And so she had taken the month off, but was eventually found by a Guardian Cat who upgraded her to a 'super' senshi and now she felt as though she had a duty to start patrolling again, which is what she had been doing tonight.

It was so nice to finally have warm nights again. Much better than having to go out in the cold in winter.

She was still a bit surprised though, when she felt the aura of an agent and they were approaching her quite steadily, as though they were seeking her out. She found it a bit odd that they would do so, since it seemed that they were just a lieutenant and curiosity got the better of her, so she waited on the rooftop until she could see them in view. Right before they hopped onto her building, she used her magic, "Waterlily Ballet!", just to slow the agent down a bit and see if they really wanted to fight her, or if they just wanted to talk.

Paracelsian heard the called attack, and before he could adjust his trajectory, he landed smack on one of the waterlilies. He tried to step off of it and found that he couldn't. His legs just wouldn't budge. The senshi didn't seem to have a follow-up attack ready, but this was still a very inconvenient position to be in. He gave Larissa a stern look and put his hands on his hips. "Is this how you greet everyone who thinks about sharing a rooftop with you, or am I a special case?" A little snarkier than was merited, probably, but he had to assess the situation. If the senshi's powers just trapped people, she might not be a huge threat, but if she laid the aggression on after, then he'd have to step things up.

Larissa shrugged. "I usually only do it to Negaverse agents like you. I've lost all of my sympathy for you guys after a certain... incident." She wouldn't tell him that it had been the Circus charade. If she did he might be able to recognize her, even without knowing her name. After all, she had been there as a civilian, and she wasn't quite sure how the indentity-clouding magic worked.

"And because I don't trust you to be up to nothing, I'm going to assume you were up to something. If I'm right, then that would mean civilians getting hurt." Some of them weren't innocent, which is why she hadn't added that. "I don't want to fight, but I at least have to drive you off if possible, whether it be by words or by fists."

Paracelsian nodded, his own sympathy a bit ironic considering Larissa's lack thereof. "It seems that everyone has a run-in with someone that costs them their sympathy for someone else. It toes the line between sad and morbidly fascinating, at least in terms of the variations in each person's experience." He sighed, looking down at the waterlily that had him glued in place. "I haven't run into any problems with civilians tonight. You'd be surprised how far asking politely can get you. And as for you, well, I was going to ask you politely too, but then you made the first strike. I mean, I'm not exactly at an advantage here, and I'd like to avoid an unnecessary struggle if possible, but..." But something. "Well, I could still ask you politely to donate some energy. That would get me to the tip of my quota, and I wouldn't have to bother any more civilians." It seemed like a decent compromise.

Larissa raised an eyebrow. "People just give you energy? I doubt that they really know what they're giving up." And she doubted that they just did it anyway. They really just let some person come up to them and say 'hey, can I have some energy from you?' If she had been a civilian she would have thought as the person as crazy. If one really could gather energy from another, she was pretty sure that parents would steal some from their hyperactive children just to get through the day a bit easier.

"First strike? I just don't trust you guys to have just a 'friendly conversation'. I like to think of it as a defense so I can assess the situation a bit better." After all, if she only had a few seconds to look at another before they attacked, she couldn't really tell what she was getting into now could she?

The offer of energy did sound tempting. As long as the lieutenant was telling the truth. "Is there some way I can take your word on that? I would like for civilians to stop giving you energy, but how do I know you won't attack me or drain me completely or even take my starseed?"
