Oh his ankle still did now linke him. James limped to the next run the following morning, sighing as he made his way to the track, looking it over. It was no kinder than yesterday, and the man sighed, rubbing his face.
This was NOT going to reflect well on YouTube, and Jame moved, positioning himself carefully before he began his run, and hummed. He could definately afford to write a coiver after this -- pop it onlike. Maybe Eye of the Tiger. The man was thinking as he moved, though, and immediately, he regretted it.
The first and immediate obstacle was not the problem -- his ankle was, nearly giving out from his injury yesterday in a spectacular, if painfdul start-- earning, somewhere, a "Great Jobn, IDIOT" from someone in.. Well surelyu sdomeone said it about him! and the mand huffed, scrabbling for grip before he pressed on, huffing as he ran. It was no better than yesterday, but he was bound and determined to do something awesome for his viewers. As he drew near the descent, he almost made a face. Wires? Sticky bungee cords? EW. James made a face then, hesitating before beginning to climb down. He was leery of grabbing wires with the odd gunk on some cords, but move he did, mentally pushing himself to ignore just hot vile the residue felt on his skin and clothing as he moved, shuddering a bit.
"Ugh.. This is... Why did I sign up for-- NASTY." One particularly gross looking glob brushed off on his hand, and Jasme's face contorted in disgust as he flipped to land, his lone quality look before he moved to the next trial. He couldn't remain, it seemed, but he did move deftly, huffing. Something was in the water -- something behind him as he moved up the pipe, and he was NOT sticking around. Wasting no time, James wiuggled into the pipe.
About this time, most people took a moment to contemplate their life choices -- why sign up for an endurance challenge in a city of weird spoopy happenings, why risk the unknown.. Well, James, sadly, did not think of that before he left home. Sure, he breifly considered it now, but now was too late, and the man wiggled along rapidly, moving through the course as quickly as he could.
James leapt as soon as he exited the pipe.
The water was... Well, something in that water just wasn't right, and he knew it, but right now he had a handsome butt to keep going and the magic of adrenaline or perhaps the fear of cthulhu keeping him going. Regardless, he managed if only barely to get purchase on his first treadmill, wobbling before he moved to the nexst one rtapidly. It was at least easier to move, and moving kept his mind off things as he jumped to the chains. The man landed, grabbing hold as he pulled himself through the final obstacle and grunted, moving slowly as he pulled himself along, eyes focused ahead before, while not flawlessly, he asmazingly madee it, dropping with a sigh, and looked out.
Something just wasn't right in the water. He wasn't sure what, but.. Well he made it, and the man sighed. James did NOT want to be cthulhu food today. Or shjaggoth kibble. Either way, he was done and turned, moving for the next waiting area.

There was someone waiting for him at the end of the course; a blue haired man who seemed unimpressed with the world... Or at least his current task in it. He uncrossed his arms from over his chest with a sigh, making a hand gesture as though to mark that the other man should follow him. "This way if you want to rest a minute before the Grand Finale. I'm sure the others are just dying to know who they'll be competing against." ( Please proceed here.)
