He had intensely ravished the green haired woman, so when the time for a break arrived, he felt like an old man after a long workout. Actually, it felt like the first weeks of boot camps and between the night with Still, the emotional fallout after and now Cass's attention, Sergei was torn between all sorts of things.
They were eating pizza, with one of his old black and white movies for background noise and the russian struggled with out to bring up how he felt to a complete stranger, even if Cass had agreed, in some sense to talking about it. He didn't touch her with greasy fingers, but she sat in his lap with a sort possession he reserved for lovers.
He waited till they finished a piece each before frowning deeply. "Cass." The accent rumbled deeply in his chest, "Vill listen to my story for a second? I need...." He sighed, "Help."

Cass's body ached in that way that only came after a good lay because Sergei had lived up to his word and had ravished her in a delightfully aggressive manner. Now, she was seated comfortably in his lap, resting back against his chest as they picked at the pizza he'd ordered while she waited for the other reason she'd been called to come up.
Curiosity was something that encouraged her to press him about it, but she would have rather basked in the post-coitus afterglow and enjoyment.
There was a napkin draped over a bare thigh, Cass having forgone pulling her shorts back on when she'd ended up in a shirt of Sergei's that fell long enough to cover the necessary bits because, well, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't hoping for another round before it was time to go home.
"Talk away babe," she encouraged, popping the last bit of crust into her mouth before dusting her fingers on that napkin.

It was hard to talk when Beringia wasn't much of a talker. He struggled, and tried to remember that Cass was not Nadia or Hurst. They didn't have the same knowledge and understanding of the situation.
He also had to phrase it to not give away his position in a powered life. Even if he didn't think Cass was someone in the war, there was always a possibility.
Fingers played along her tanned thigh, as his face set into a frown.
"I have a friend." He started, "Ve vere not close. Too much..." He scrunched his nose. "Too much...much."
He pursued his lips before continuing. "She vent missing. Could not find, even as police officer." He sighed, "Sister is good friend. very stressful. Sister is very heartbroken." He nodded.
"Nov, this friend is back. Different though. Not the same."

Her own hand was gently tracing patterns on the side of his leg, opposite of the one he played with of hers. It was easy enough to settle against someone as solid as Sergei seemed to be and she distracted herself with checking her nail polish on her free hand as if it would help him talk about whatever gripe he had and needed to get off his chest.
"Too much what, Serg?" Cass asked, tipping her head back enough that she could peer up at him beneath her lashes.
She should have waited, but Cass could be impatient and now was no exception. "You're gonna have to be a little more specific, babe, if you want me to help." She shifted so that she could press her lips against the underside of his jaw, then again against his throat.
Talking wasn't her favorite activity, but Sergei had told her it was a stipulation and he was ~mysterious~ so if there was some tragic backstory to unlock, she was gonna unlock it.

"Too much...Olga." He shifted only to allow her more room to do as she pleased, and gripping her hip. "She vas....alvays asking questions. Alvays demanding her vay or highvay. Stupid." He continued, "Naive. Did not understand vorld is dangerous place. Got into stupid things. ALOT."
He scrunched his nose.
"Is hard to put in vords, Have not experienced this before." He didn't mind that Cass was pushy because it was what he needed. To continue to be pushed. "She has no attachment to old self. Tells us, old self dead. Gone." He made a poof sound. "But has attachment to me, hits on me." He scrunched his nose.
"I am not sure if mistake, but slept vith her. Now have guilt. She doesn't know vho she is, or vhere she came from, but I know. And now I know this new version of her." He stopped, "Vhat are these thoughts? Vhy am I concerned?" He stopped.
"I feel I have done something vrong."

"I can't say wanting things your way is a bad thing," Cass purred. From what he was saying, there were qualities in this not-friend-but-really-a-friend that she shared, except the questioning or stupidity...and naivety.
Cass was pushy, aggressive and took what she wanted and she certainly wasn't naive.
She twisted again, seeking to draw him into a kiss so that when she said, "I don't blame her for hitting on you," it was against his lips. Sergei was handsome, gruff, and assertive which were all things that she found attractive. There'd been a reason she'd approached him that first time after all. She saw him, she liked him, she wanted him therefore she got him.
To her it was simple.
She drew away, settling back into his lap comfortably and reaching to play with his hands, her fingers slipping between the spaces of between his. "You have guilt, but do you regret sleeping with her?" It was an easy question to ask and while Cass would have preferred to do other things, she figured she might as well get through this touchy feely aspect of their time together so the fun could resume. "Sounds like this friend, Not-Olga is trying to pull a Taylor Swift." She paused, lips quirking while she held back laughter. When she spoke again, it was in a valley-girl manner. "I'm sorry the old Olga can't come to the phone right now" A pause. "Why? Oh, 'cause she's dead!"
This time she laughed, bright like herself before she shrugged and slumped back down, chin tipped up so she could look at her boytoy beneath her hair. "But seriously, it sounds like you found yourself emotionally compromised because you're trying to see who she was instead of who she's asserting she is and she found a crack to slip into and use to her advantage to get what she wanted, which sounds like you." And it sounded like it was something she might've done depending on the circumstance.
But Cassadega Bright never got rejected, she saw what she wanted and she went for it.
"Def sounds like you didn't actually want to bone her, which like we all bone people we probably shouldn't, but you gotta decide if you want to be involved with this new version of her. And like, if the sex was good and you wanna do it again then you gotta come to terms with the fact she doesn't wanna be who she used to be."
Cass tugged on her hands. "Sex doesn't have to be complicated, but it gets messy when you ******** friends without deciding if you're gonna be friends who ********, a one time ********, or you want something else."

Sergei gruffed against her kiss, even as she commented on Still not being blamed for hitting on him. There was something odd about being found attractive to two very assertive women at the same time. It was perhaps not unknown to him, that he was attractive. His whole family was.
"No idea vho is Taylor Svift." He didn't get the reference but the way it was worded was uncannily similar in a way. He nodded an affirmation. "But understand the likeness. Is mostly true. She says she is dead, Old Olga." He sighed, "But I cannot see that."
All he ever saw was the Old Olga, or thinking about her and what happened to her. Her laugh drew him back and he shook his head. "I am not prize to be von though? Vhy use this advantage of me?" He didn't understand.
"I don't know hov to accept that. Is because I am...Iceberg?" He thought, cold, unmoving. Literally the worst thing to run a ship into.
"Ve are friends who ********, that is easy." He was mostly confirming, though it was iffy on the friend part, since the russian didn't really understand the concept of friends. Even Hurst was that annoying gray area.
"Vhat do I do then?" He sighed, "I do not knov vhat she is anymore to me."

"Technically speaking, no," Cass agreed, shoulders rolling as she started dragging her fingers gently along his thigh. She was a woman who couldn't sit still for too long and she enjoyed the softer, sensual moments of entanglement even as they sat with her in his lap. "But Old Olga, she liked you yeah?"
That seemed pretty obvious if she could remember supposedly nothing of who she was yet was still so clearly attached to the Russian beneath her.
"Don't think of yourself as a prize, but more like..." She trailed off, finger lifting to tap her lips while she figured out what she was trying to say in the easiest to understand way. "Say Olga's always had a thing for you, but because she's Olga you didn't see her as anything but the naive childish girl and now, whether it's amnesia or whatever, she's reinventing herself and she's still got this thing for you." Another pause, Cass sighing because the whole thing was more convoluted that she cared for.
This was why she did things on her terms and made her partners, temporary or long-term, bend to her. It was merely, simpler that way.
"Hrm, let's put it like this. If I like someone and I want them, I go after them. Usually, they want me too." She said usually, but she meant always. "Sometimes it's trickier, requires a little 'chasing' so to speak because I'm forward and upfront but some people are wary. My guess is Not-Olga is willing to chase if she feels like maybe you're interested somewhere and getting to bone you, to her means there's a part of you that's into her. If she's got a school girl crush, or did at any point and parts of it are lingering, it's like a huge win for her because who isn't ecstatic when their crush seems to reciprocate."
After she finished trying to put it into layman's terms, Cass wondered if she'd made things more confusing. She'd have to trust Sergei to tell her such.
"We're mostly just two people who ********, but this feelsy talk might push us into the 'friend' category," Cass teased. "We could do a 'more' like thing if you wanted, but I'm not a girl who sits exclusive."
There were more people who didn't understand polyamory than people who did.
She shifted again, pulling herself out of his lap and moving until her knees were on either side of his hips and her arms looped loosely around his neck. "Whatcha gotta do now Serg," she began, pausing to kiss him, "is decide what you want this girl to be. If you want her to be a 'friend who you ********' or a 'I ******** a friend by mistake' or a 'maybe we should be more than friends'." Another kiss with a n** to his lip. "But I'm hoping it's a non-exclusive sort of thing, because I like this thing we've got."

"I guess." Was the best answer he could give. He was sure his sister egged her on in her endevour to be something more then a friend, and Olga obviously had been trying but well...His hands trailed along hips and sides. He was not really a needy character, but it helped to have her there as a distraction of sorts while he thought.
To admit that he fell into her hands easily was a bit upsetting to the russian, especially since he had done his best to be...well off markety. It wasn't a bad thing after he thought about it, because he liked how aggressive and true to herself the woman was.
So why couldn't he feel the same about Still? She was reinventing herself, and it just happened to be more confident and sure of herself. She still had the naivety of not having those memories but....
"I am not exclusive." He sighed, "And perhaps....perhaps she vould vant that. I am not sure vhat I vant now." Even as she nibbled on him, he returned the affection in kind and eventually rested his chin on her shoulder.
"Memories are difficult thing to justify." He just wasn't sure how to make it justify himself. But Cass brought up good points and that was he needed to stop seeing Olga.
And see this new Still she was creating herself. "You are good talker." He dipped hands in to press against warm flesh of her thigh. "Hov so vise for so young hmm?"

"Good," she purred, enjoying the temporary knowledge that whatever they had wasn't going to end. Cass had a seemingly endless pool of lovers to pick from when it fancied her but part of enjoying that was keeping an interesting roster full of good lovers.
Sergei often hit a scratch that some of the others struggled with and she didn't even have to ask.
When his chin hit her shoulder she stopped toying with him and instead let painted nails slide through his hair, gently scratching at the scalp. "I like it best when you stay away from exclusivity."
It was a little selfish but Cass never pretended to be anything but. Her wants came first, nine times out of ten.
"I know you're not much of a thinker Serg, but this doesn't seem like a situation where you should spend a lot of time thinking about it. Maybe you should trust your gut. Instincts are your best friend. And if you don't trust them, trust mine. They say you're thinking too much."
Hell she could practically hear him thinking at this point. "As long as there's clear consent, what's it matter as long as you're having fun." She shrugged. "I may be young, but I've been around the block or two." Age didn't always account for life experience after all.
"You know what I want?" She teased, shifting back to press her lips against his ear. "I want you to stop focusing so much on some other chick, if she's not joining, and focus on me."

He didn't purr, technically. That would be weird. The feel of nails though in his scalp felt nice and a bit comforting and something he truly enjoyed about women. They just had nice way of comforting and touching, especially ones like Cass. Though Cass had a certainly unique way about herself.
"I alvays think too much." He sighed, "It is good habit. Served in the var. Also bad, cause this."
He slipped hands around her body, "okay okay." He smirked at her. "You are greedy. Tvo lovers at the same time?" Not that Serg was opposed to it.
The talk helped in a way though. He needed to stop looking at Still as Olga.
He needed to have fun.
He just wondered when that fun would bite him back in the a**. Nuxaz We could call this a wrap soon since...fade to black....

"Didn't say it was a bad thing, babe," Cass replied, "Just that for this, you're thinking a little too much. It's okay to melt a little and let feelings or instinct rule you on some things."
Cass's gut never led her astray.
"C'mon, you know it'd be hot," she laughed, stealing a kiss before her hands were on the hem of her borrowed shirt to tug it off. "I'm hot, you're hot, she's probably hot if you boned her." Palms pressed against his chest and she pushed, eager to get him to lay back.
"But I don't need it, I'm just...open to it." Shoulders shrugged. "Right now, I just need you," she cooed, determined to settle the itch he'd created then and there.
