Everything felt strange and hazy at first, when she felt a twinge of Something that compelled her to ask what they were doing. She knew following orders but... Somehow they felt odd to her -- what were they?
The slow feeling grew every time she asked a question after, but thankfully she was always with Master Golbez and the other Manikins; safe, and, surprisingly, unpunisdhed, though she knew asking things was dangerous. She watyched after all, and her Master's companions were very fighty -- butone had been a little kind -- good enough to explain an answer before shuffling her to her master again without word. But now..
Everything was so odd and now she had a name and her Master summoned her to his favorite place to sit with her and show her shells or the lake or plants, and thge girl was curious. He never called for her before, but today he had -- and he had seemed styressed.
Normally they never spoke at the quiet place - but he did bring her and held her and she liked the pictures in her mind. But..
She drew near to her master curiously, the manikin tilting her head and Gin -- her name was Gin the nice gambler said so -- spoke, voice fluctuating oddly between a manikin's hollow voice and something Else. Something more human.
"Mas...ter? You wanted me?"
