This is my life. I am a Menehune. Single child, so no siblings. I think life is lonely that way. No one to play with. That is really sad. But its fine I have tons of cousins and I have friends. Both my parents come from huge families. They both had so many siblings, but for some reason they only had me. I hear from them its better to be the only one, but WHY.

My name is Liloa. I like many things, but most of all right now. i like watching my mom make clothes. Its cool compared to everything else in my everyday life. I live in a swampy area so materials for clothes are hard to come by. My mom is really cool because of this. She made my clothes out of leaves and reeds. She told me leaves are weak and fragile so i have to be careful to not rip my clothes. So i am very careful. I even started to learn a little bit of clothes making so I can fix my clothes if something goes wrong. My mom is so cool s he even made me a hairpin out of leaves. Its really cute, and she says it looks good with my eyes! I feel so good when my mom says cool things about me. My dad is cool too, but he never asks me to help him with the stuff he does, so Im not sure how his stuff works.

I also have cool friends. We play around our small village all the time. We doodle in the mud with sticks. I like to think Im good at drawing...but Im not, sadly. But I am great at hide and seek. Its fun! because of my color I can blend in with many things in the swamp. We also play chase where we run around trying to catch each other. Its really fun, but I usually get caught. The getting caught part isnt as fun.

My town is really small, but we live near these blue people and they are so different from us. They are Like BLUE. Sometimes we go play with the blue children. They are really fun to play with as well. They speak of living in blue rivers compared to our swamp. It must be a very different life. I bet it would be fun to live that life as well. I could even try out their cool clothes which is really different from ours. And they dont have the black tattoos like our elders have.
