Agility: + 1 = 5
Sum took off like a lightning bolt into the obstacle course. Sum went into the Floating Steps like a pro. Leaping from one floater to another with such accuracy and fluid movements, he could have been a frog. Could have been. Must have been his rogue parkour training that he spent all of five minutes on, six months ago. Okay so it was more like a month, but he sure was grateful for it now – oops he slipped on that last one from being distracted, but he recovered. Hooray, he made it through!

Sum quickly moved on to the Big Dipper. He jumped for it and miscalculated. He only got one hand on the bar before it started to move. And move it did. Like lightning. It was almost too fast for him. He just might miss the launch area if he wasn’t careful and if that wasn’t bad enough, he could hardly pay attention became of the crowd screaming. Halfway through, his hand slipped off the bar and he nearly fell – fortunately he was able to grab it with his other hand and continue his ride down the track. He got to the spot and launched himself. Hopefully, he had not miscalculated again.

Sum flew through the air. He grabbed onto the trapeze, pulled himself up and froze. For the first time ever on a height, he froze in fear. He did not know why, but he was terrified. He had climbed mountains…he was only eighteen… why? Slowly he broke through his fear. He swung his way pass the first Pipe as it swayed here and there. He leaped towards the second – and nearly missed, but grabbed ahold of it of the last second. He pulled himself He launched himself off and made the landing.

He’d made it halfway through. No time to celebrate though. He stumbled on the first block and nearly went in. Sum recovered using once again an odd parkour move and moved on to the next block. This one was easier and so was the next. Almost through. His ankle tweaked, but not enough to stop him. He made past the fourth block. The fifth one was simple. Another obstacle complete – the crowd was chanting his name- SUM FAIRBANKS! SUM FAIRBANKS! SUM FAIRBANKS! SUM FAIRBANKS!

Sum dove into the Spin Cycle. He flew through flawlessly. He grabbed the first one and swung around to the second. It was perfect. His ankle didn’t even hurt once. He grabbed the second and swung around to the third. Still perfect and no pain. He grabbed the third and swung around to the other side and launched himself. It was perfect. The crowd was chanting his name- SUM FAIRBANKS! SUM FAIRBANKS! SUM FAIRBANKS! SUM FAIRBANKS! Was he a crowd favorite? He had to be.

Now for the final obstacle of the round! Sum took a deep breath and concentrated. He took a step and another and broke into a run. SUM SUM SUM SUM… Sum ran up the wall and leaped for the top; his outstretched hands went high, his fingers came within range and closed… on nothing. He fell back down. There was a disappointed groan from the audience.

He would try again. He would not give up. SUM SUM SUM SUM SUM… Sum got his thoughts in order, deep breath and looked at the Warped Wall once more. He broke into a run. His heart thudded with every step. He leaped. He reached out and his hands closed… on solid material. He pulled himself up on to the platform and stood up. He hit the button and the crowd went wild. He had completed the Qualifying Round.
