All good things had to come to an end, and though Caleb rather wished that they didn’t…he had been content with how his vacation with his boyfriend had gone. How stupid just a change of terminology could provide such a huge impact on his mood.
Benji was at work tonight, and Caleb had thought he would pass the time by patrolling, and as he sat on the edge of a building, thinking about the past week with its stolen kisses and other little passions, Gelria couldn’t help but be in a really good mood.
…And he stayed in that mood until the moment he felt the chaotic aura nearby, when he realized just what he was feeling, the senshi’s hands balled into fists and he lept off the roof, making his way over to where the black clad girl was causing trouble.
Well. It was the same type as the boy in the tree, but it wasn’t him…not this time at least. His arms crossed over his chest and he watched her for a moment, expression cold and remote. “Don’t you know that when you play with fire, you’re bound to get burned? Well. Tonight. You’re going to burn up, and I’ll see to it that you don’t see the light of another day.”
He took a step towards the girl, a slow smirk crossing his face. “Though…I suppose I am feeling a little generous. I’ll give you three seconds to run and crawl back into the cesspit that you came from.

Romulus was calling her wraith back as she felt the order aura racing towards her, and had turned to meet the approaching senshi head on as he called out to her. It left her blinking at him, brows arching as her breath left in an amused rush, and she laughed as she tucked the mirror shard away again. "Oh my God, really with the platitudes? ******** spare me, dude." Just her luck, it'd be the goody-two-shoes that crashed her evening. Well, maybe it'd work out alright. Romulus could admit to feeling a bit restless lately, and if this morally upstanding senshi felt like he could chase her off with her tail between her legs, she was more than happy to show him otherwise. One hand cupping her opposite elbow, the other came up to rest over her cheek, adopting a look of feigned contrition. "Cesspit, really now? Is that anyway for you hero types to talk?" She dropped the act with a derisive snort.

What a brat. Gelria watched her and after a moment he laughed. “Well, I mean, all right. Considering the last time I met one of you charming black clad types, I almost choked him to death, sure. I’ll stick around. You’ll find…I’m not a typical hero. I’d rather kill you than save others any day of the week, sweetheart, so. If you’re sure about this. Fine.”
He grinned, and held his hand out, as though to shake, to make amends. “Cinnamon storm, b***h.”
The words were so casual, it would have almost been easy to miss the magic that was called into being, at least…until you noticed the shimmering puff of quickly expanding cinnamon.
Sure, he relied on his magic an awful lot…but when your magic was this strong…why wouldn’t you?
Quickly, he made his way over, drawing back his hand to land a neat punch in the senshi’s gut.
He was no hero type. Not by a long shot.Beejoux Cinnamon Storm Gelria holds out his hand and a puff of ground cinnamon comes out Visual. The cinnamon causes irritation to the eyes, nose and throat. The puff of cinnamon can reach out up to a radius of eight feet, and affects everyone in the area except Gelria himself. The attack can be used twice per battle, and the cinnamon puff lasts for twenty five seconds before dissipating.

Well that hadn't quite been the sort of boastful bragging Romulus had been expecting and the cool smile slowly faded from dark lips as she listened to him recount the last encounter he'd had with a member of her court. Not someone she knew, she didn't think, but she didn't need that personal connection to spark her temper enough to make her lip curl. "Oh, I'm sure," she managed to get out before be was summoning his magic and Romulus kicked herself for gasping because she drew in a large lungful of the clinging spice, and was doubled over coughing as she tried to back rapidly away. Not fast enough. Before she was quite clear he came at her in a rush and she felt the solid impact of his knuckles sinking into her stomach, but there wasn't any air left to steal so it just hurt. With an irritated snarl she brought her head up again, hair swinging along her chin as she sneered up at him. "I think you'll find me am not that easy a mark." He was no stranger to a fight, but neither was she, and even if her voice wheezed a little when she coughed up at him she was already recovering enough to keep moving. Her eyes burned, but she could see his blurred outline. Romulus surged back at him, petite body turning sideways as she twisted her arm around to slam the sharp point of her elbow into the senshi's sternum.

The elbow caught him off guard—it was so easy to just stand back and gloat, watching the senshi struggling like that. But now she seemed as though this was going to be a real fight, and he was ready. His chest was hurting a bit from the blow, but it wasn’t enough to stop him, not by a long shot.
Quickly he moved out of the way of her flying elbows and his fingers landed on the collar around her neck. Swiftly he pulled it, hoping to choke her. If he could just get rid of one…things would just be so much better for everyone. “Why don’t you kindly stop fighting and just die.” He hissed, voice quiet.
Gelria's fist moved swiftly towards her head as he held fast to the collar.
If this didn’t work…another round of magic should give him the leverage he would need to get her on the ground at the very least…

A hand twisting into her collar jerked her off balance and she stumbled back against him, but fingers found their way between fabric and her own throat and she held it back from cutting off air or circulation. Just barely. His voice beside her ear was a vicious hiss that dug in to drag her own anger boiling up to the surface. Her voice wheezed, vocal cords compressed a she snarled back at him through clenched teeth. "You first." When she summoned her magic it was barely above a breathy whisper, but volume didn't equate to power. "Crater strike." Power flooding her, she funneled it all to the one place she knew would land a sudden strike and then struck without hesitation--head jerking forward before slamming back against that of her attacker. The punch he'd aimed at her jaw landed almost simultaneously, but in that moment that really only worked in her favor since her head rocked back even harder. She was going to have one mother of bruise come morning though...

Gelria let out a startled cry as her head came at him with far too much force. There was no way that it could be that hard, that heavy. He stumbled backwards and nearly fell, and only by some miracle did he manage to catch himself, hissing and rubbing at his neck which had taken the brunt of the impact. “******** b***h he croaked, though this time, kept some distance. There wasn’t any way he would let her use that…magic? That had to have been her magic.
Hopefully though…hopefully it at least left her a little dizzy…perhaps… Maybe he should wait for backup before taking this one on again…but he didn’t want to seem weak…not now.
“Cinnamon Storm!” His arm reached towards her again, hatred in his eyes. If he could just…get her down. Or get her to run. Or even if he could just get her to surrender. He would accept it this time.
His free hand went up, rubbing at his throat and wincing, coughing slightly, trying to get the pain to go away.

His grip loosened and Romulus twisted away from him, arms up and at the ready. "Yeah, I get that a lot," she snapped back, offering an ugly grin as she watched him rubbing at his head and neck. It'd been a solid hit, Romulus would have one hell of a lump on the back of her head come morning, but he'd be feeling it worst. This time when he shouted his magic she was ready for it, knew what to expect, and could throw herself backwards and out of range before another unpleasant lungful threatened to double her over and leave her open and vulnerable. I don't think so, a*****e. Not this time! He should have saved it. Sprung it on her when she was close and had no way to get away. Unless he was just using it as a way to give himself a moment to recover. "Hiding behind your little cloud? What's the matter, did I scramble what little brains you had left?"

Gelira hid his annoyance behind a smirk. So she hadn’t just been smart enough to end this by falling prey to his attack…it was a shame.¬ It was even more of a shame that he realized he didn’t quite have the stomach necessary to actually do what he needed to…
With a soft hiss, he thought about his options. He could flee. He could tell her to flee again. He was still stronger than she was. It would be an act of mercy if he just let her go but..
But.
“How about we just call this quits then. For as bad as I want to, I just don’t have the stomach to kill you today. So. You turn and walk away, and I’ll do the same. And nobody has to get hurt again, sound good?”
It did to him. It wasn’t a bad idea.
“Before my magic ends, just go. Okay?” It would be better for the both of them.

It was a completely unexpected offer and Romulus narrowed her eyes at the cloud of cinnamon she knew he was hiding behind. Coward, where would he be without his magic? This might have been their first meeting, but she thought he relied on it entirely too much, especially against someone he was supposed to be stronger than. A part of her wanted to just wait it out again, and jump him the moment she could see him. However, this entire thing had been about her defending herself. If he was willing to let her go, maybe she should just walk away. She didn't know if he had any more of those cinnamon blasts, or anything else up his sleeve. How much did her pride mean to her... Well, a damn lot, but did it outweigh her own self preservation? No, she didn't think it did. At least not today. So when the cloud cleared she had taken the out and disappeared, running off into the night with her quote finished and her body in tact. But next time, she'd wipe that smirk right off his cocky little face.
