Cor Caroli had a lot to think about recently, though that "recently" was starting to extend into "for a while." Most pertinent on his mind was the way he had a tendency to nearly get his patoot handed to him when conflict occurred. Sure, if he wasn't fighting a 1-on-1 human appointment, he had enough other targets around him to avoid taking too many knocks, but when he was fighting a human opponent on his own, his lack of offensive magic and combat finesse made him a sitting duck. He was taking steps to remedy that, but it wouldn't be the first time he bemoaned his extremely defensive power set.

Not too far away, maybe a few blocks and turns around, Cor felt an Order aura. It felt as though it was the same strength as he was, which was a pleasant surprise. There were a lot of basic senshi around, so it was nice to find someone with a little more experience under their belt. He advanced on the other aura, looking to see who was behind it.

"Did I interrupt something?" Cor said, noticing the fading portals before the senshi's tilted head. "Looks like you were up to something before I showed up." He took a few cautious steps around the area, looking around. "Sorry to butt in if you were trying to test something, but we senshi ought to stick together, you know? It's always nice to find another Super around." Eventually, he made his way over to Evren, a hand extended in greeting. "Super Sailor Cor Caroli, Senshi of Will. How about you?" Something about the formal title had a nice ring to it. It felt like it needed to be inscribed in an archive somewhere, or something.

"Portals, huh? That sounds fun. How does it work?" Cor Caroli asked, looking around for traces of the magic he'd seen before and not finding any. "And I'd say making it to Super is definitely an accomplishment. Some people, well, either they aren't so lucky or it takes them forever to be ready for the upgrade." He thought he knew a few examples, at least in passing. Heck, it had taken him a while to make it to Super himself.

"Knowing your powers is good! I think I get not being able to practice with them, though. My power set is so ridiculously defensive that there's rarely an opportunity to use it." Sometimes Cor would give himself or a passing ally a boost, but that was it. "My two attacks focus on boosting a person's willpower. Basically it's only useful for getting injured people to hold on for a bit longer, or getting someone moving. Very situational." He felt he was starting to complain a bit too much, so he decided to address Ananke's last question instead. "No, no, you're not disturbing me at all. I just came over here because I was curious and I don't always find other Supers around."

"That sounds useful," Cor Caroli remarked, already trying to engineer a mental image of how the power worked. "Though I can see how that'd be kind of situational. If the enemy doesn't use projectile attacks or anything that can be redirected, you're stuck." He returned Ananke's grin. "I getcha. It seems like most senshi can either attack on their own just fine, or at the very least can debuff. Or they're good fighters on their own and don't have to worry about it. Being totally defensive or supportive and not the best fighter is... a hard life." It really was, no joke.

Cor Caroli watched Ananke go on, feeling a twinge of sympathy. The inability to protect others was clearly a sore point for her, and it was for him, too. He wanted to be able to actually fend off a Negaverse agent instead of having to run away or consistently getting beaten down. When she finished, he nodded gravely. "I don't think you're getting worked up over nothing. This is a totally valid concern. Heck, I came within a second of having my starseed yanked the other day. A friend came and bailed me out, but not before the Corrupt who was hassling me used her magic to make her attack me instead. That sucked." That was an understatement.

"There's got to be other senshi like us who didn't exactly win the superpower lottery. And I might know of a place we can refer them to." A sure grin spread across Cor's face. There seemed to be a plan settling into place here. "There's this one senshi, her name is Vulcan... she's got an improvised training center set up in a warehouse somewhere. She's mostly focused on teaching civilians to protect themselves, but she's willing to help powered people, too."

"That's right. We're not the only ones. And don't worry about it. Everyone should think before they speak in this day and age, but you haven't said anything that doesn't make sense." Cor Caroli pursed his lips and mulled over the fragmented sentences. "You don't have to do anything like Vulcan. You can just send people to her, and she'll help them learn how to fight. Her setup is really great like that! Once you see it for yourself, you'll get it." He looked to the side. "Think about it. I could give you her contact information, if you'd like. I think this would be a good partnership."

"Of course," Cor Caroli said. "That seems reasonable, actually." Ananke seemed to have some confidence issues. Poor girl. Did she get yelled at for asking directions at some point, or something? "I'll lead you there. How about we contact each other on senshi phone? Or, if you're alright with it, we could power down and you can give me your civilian details. Just because it'd probably be easier to find you, since it's best to go to Vulcan's place while powered down. Don't want to risk getting tailed by a Negaverse agent, you know?" His mind was already on his senshi phone, ready to pull it out, or power down. Whatever she felt comfortable with.

"I mean, we're both on the same side, so what harm could it do?" Cor Caroli asked, tilting his head a bit. The insistence on powering down privately kind of made him tilt his head slightly more, but if that was how she felt, then that was how it would be. It wasn't like they were changing clothes in front of each other, but in a way it also was, now that he thought about it. Hard to explain, but it was. "All right, go ahead. I'll be here." When Ananke went behind the tree, he would release his transformation, powering back down into Ezra.
