XXXXXAdventurous, fearless, bold. These are a few words people use to describe Kaminari. Kaminari never backs down from a challenge and prefers to deal with things head on. She isn't a kid who often seeks back up and prefers to deal with trouble on her own. This leads many to think she could be a little slow at time, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Granted, she does push aside caution quite often, Kaminari is quite intelligent. She isn't the smartest child around, but when it comes to right-brain thinking, Kaminari holds talent. Kaminari has shown that she is a quick learner and her courage and loyalty to her new friends seems very stable. Kitten is known for herself-assuredness and has a high self-esteem and is more than determined to show that she won't let her sisters death deter her from living like everyone else. She has an intuition about things which keeps her out of incredibly dangerous situations, but not all of them seeing as she actively pursues fights. Kaminari is also fiercely independent, sarcastic, direct, and stubborn. She appears to have a carefree and adventurous nature but is very girly in the way she dresses and behaves when she wants something. Kaminaris eagerness to prove that she can be independent has led to some difficulties with those she encounters. Specifically the "I can kick anyone and everyones butt" mindset that she seems dead set on maintaining. More often than not if she isn't fighting someone she may be training or playing with stray cats. In a sense Kaminari is one of two extremes at any given time: A girly-girl or a violent child with too much to prove, but to who?

Kaminari had a fairly standard beginning to her childhood. She has two loving parents, both of which are ANBU, who showered everyone in their immediate family with love. She idolized her sister Aiko to the point of aiming to be just as strong as her. This was a goal shared by Kaminari's twin brother Inazuma who often trained with her. The siblings were particularly close seeing as their parents were often sent out on missions leaving Aiko responsible for the younger members of the household. An easy task seeing as they were ducklings following a mother duck whenever Aiko wasn't on a mission or with Shimata. When it came time for Kaminari to enter the Ninja Academy her brother Inazuma's health suddenly began to deteriorate. He managed to stay in the school until the age of seven when he suddenly began coughing up blood. Inazuma was immediately admitted to the hospital where he has been a permanent residence since. Kaminari took it harder than her brother and vowed to become twice the ninja of anyone in her class so he could be with her in spirit.
Aiko and Kaminari frequently visited their little brother alongside their parents. He was eventually allowed to go home but due to the nature of his health issue, spends most time at home. Despite it being a poor situation for Inazuma his spirits were lifted by stories from friends and family members. Kaminari frequently spent hours at her brothers bedside and when she wasn't there or sleeping... she was training. It wasn't until her parents went missing that the sweet Kaminari people knew well and loved, changed. She became hot headed and dead set on finding them. She began spending more time in the training than she did with her brother. Kaminari's attitude only got worse when her classmates ( the females) started showing more interest in boys which led to teasing of Kaminari for her still present adolescent pudge and childish obsession with kittens and flowers.
Kaminari endured the abuse until her sisters death. The sudden loss of her sister combined with her parents missing was enough to trigger the activation of her sharingan. So, when two girls decided to bully her one day she pummeled them into the ground viciously. Had a close family friend not stopped Kaminari she would've likely been expelled from any ninja program. Fortunately, she managed to escape with a stern talking to from several family friends. It set her straight for a bit despite her constant challenging for fights among her teammates and frankly... everyone else. It is the same behavior that has led to her being incredibly durable and energized for lengthy combat.
