There was so much to do, and so little time to get it all done. As the Freshling got ready each day and rushed off to their seat to sit down and learn...before to a long time had seemingly flown by. Life was much different having Jaimie as his guardian, and a sister like Nova. Zoren wasn't nearly as reserved and shy as they had been in those earlier days. The young Baphomet was quickly growing up and beginning to find their footing in the world. Thoughts of Eryusa and the forward way they had spoken had been a bit like a wake-up call. Not everyone was going to be as kind, or gentle as his family. Others had more direct, and forward ways of going about things. Zoren could appreciate both sides of the interaction style...but really they were just glad to have a room, and a family to call their own.
Zoren still wasn't really sure what they wanted to be when they grew up just yet... that seemed like a tall order for someone who loved to dance, and simply wanted to enjoy life while absorbing what knowledge their brain retained. While not the top of their class, Zoren was in the middle of the pack in regards to their age group. For what it was worth, they were trying each day to put their best foot forward. Zoren still had a lot of growing up, and maturing left to do..but the child was for the first time truly happy.
Even if it took a little bit longer to really figure out what they wanted to be when they grew up was in order...Zoren figured they would get past that hurdle eventually. Jaime never made him feel worried, Zoren figured he'd find something that really caught their interest. Whenever that happened was, of course, a matter of timing. They wondered if Eryusa would be up for hanging out sometime...the other seemed to really like art.
Going to Nova for advice late one evening..the small Baphomet knocked on their siblings' door. "Nova...are you up?" Zoren whispered a tad bit louder.
Giving a tired stretch, and a yawn Nova opened her door to the sound of Zoren talking to her. Smiling at her adopted sibling, she coaxed the other to come to sit with her on the bed. "I am for a little while longer..what is going on?" Nova looked the other over with consideration.
Taking a deep breath, Zoren exhaled. "Well..I have a friend I met I think is cool...I want to hang out with them again, but I don't know..if they really would want me to." The Baphomet rubbed their arm slightly glancing to the side.
Nova looked at the other, tilting her head. "I think if they are a decent friend, to begin with...you can ask them, and they will maybe be surprised..but I bet it'll go better than you think." Nova nudged the other, pulling the small Freshling into a hug. "Even if you don't do it tomorrow...you can do it. If you put your mind to it, I believe you can accomplish much." The quit hybrid smiled.
Zoren yawned tiredly, a happy smile lighting up the younger face. "O..oh..hm...okay Nova...thank you." Hugging the other in return...Zoren stayed for a while longer simply to have an excuse to hang out with their big sister.
