Physical Description: Wen (as she prefers to be called) is a tad on the shorter side with a stocky build from her youth working with runners. Her fiery red hair is always tied back in a braid to keep it out of her face, though usual curls are escaping with an hour of braiding it. Her skin is often peeling from long days spent outside in the sun, freckles covering most of her face. Even as young as she is, there is the start of fine lines appearing at the corners of her hazel eyes from grinning so much. (Reference Image)
Personality: Wen is a rather no-nonsense but happy person for the most part. She likes taking care of people and putting them at ease, always willing to go the extra mile for someone. If she says she will do it, then by the shell she's gonna do it! However, this can sometimes lead her to stick to things long past the point of good sense. She tends to hold everyone else to her standards and can hold a grudge when they don't measure up.
Wen loves a good joke and is just as quick to tease about herself and her green as she is about anyone else. Still, her good humor can come off to some as obnoxious as she tries not to take things -too- serious. Once her temper is up, however, watch out!

History: Born to a family of breeders in Keroon Hold, Wen always assumed she would take over for her mother as animal healer of the family. No one was more surprised than she was when she was chosen by Vaareth while visiting a cousin that was supposed to be impressing. Still, Wen knew, just -knew- that this was what she was meant for. With a cheery wave to her mom, she dashed from the stands to the waiting 'arms' of her new best friend!
She adapted to life at the weyr with surprising ease after a life of hard work with as she affectionately called the runners 'big dumb babies'. Here at least she could make friends and there was Vaareth, whom Wen is sure might be her actual soulmate.
Still, when thread returned, Wen was horrified as any of them but determined to protect her family and her people. She often makes trips after a fight to check on her parents, siblings, and the animals.
Other: Wen still has family in Keroon whom she visits with often.

Physical Description: A beautiful almost mint green with lighter markings, Vaareth is stunning to behold. Not that the green is vain by any means, she just likes to be clean and neat is all. While longer than many greens, she is very slender (but will run to fat if Wen doesn't keep a watch on her eating.)
Personality: Playful and energetic, Vaareth likes to go go go!! It doesn't matter where they go as long as they are together. She is as friendly as her rider, both prone to pulling pranks and harmless jokes on each other. It's not unusual for Wen to wake up without any underthings to wear as Vaareth hid them all or for the green to wake up with little flit footprints painted on her.
Vaareth has a deep. abiding love for all young things even herdbeast! She dotes on hatchlings, coos over human babies, and would keep every young firelizard she comes across if Wen would let her.
