Physical Description: One would not assume that a sharp, hawk-like nose would be conducive to beauty. However, Amaretti has turned it into quite the asset. With long, thick hair dyed a brilliant dark purple, and eyes that verge on almost orange, she cuts quite a striking figure. If her hair is not braided into elaborate coils and twists, it falls loose well past her hips. She is curvy, inclined to be plump, and not at all afraid to show off her shape. If that means that there are some extra rolls here and there, so much the better. Her mothers and father have taught her to love herself, and that just means there's more to love.
Personality: Amaretti does not like to do a thing by halves. She is unsatisfied with anything less than the best. That doesn't mean that she expects the most rich and lavish things in life. It just means that she has an eye for the unconventionally beautiful, as well as an ability to pair things together in unexpectedly pleasing ways. She has good instincts where her personal look is concerned, and quite enjoys dressing up others to better suit them. It's something of a passion, and she's employed it while modeling on the side.
As the daughter of a Lady Holder, however insignificant the Hold might be, she is aware of certain duties. It may not be permissible for Amare to marry only for love, and so she has developed a bit of a casual relationship with the whole affair. Given that her mothers married for that exact reason, she's not really sure why the rules are different for herself - though it is possible that love may be part of a match, connections will also likely rank highly.
This general attitude of needing to seek allies has led her to view her friendships as a bit shallow. In the circles that she's been used to moving, there is no such thing as a trustworthy friend. Any information that she doles out could (and probably would) be used against her. While she has a great capacity to love, she holds herself at arm's length, not quite giving into the easy trust than another might feel.
She can be, for lack of a better word, bitchy. Catty. There is no room in her world for people who don't appreciate her particular brand of charm, and if she doesn't like someone, she's inclined to go for the social throat. But don't worry, sweetums... you won't have to suffer long. Or will you? If they could only see it her way, they'd understand why this was all totally necessary. Poor little you, not getting the picture.
There is absolutely no one that Amare is afraid of... except maybe Mom. She is fiercely defensive of things and people that she views to be 'hers' and won't back down unless it really looks like she'd suffer a major loss. Even then, she'd be determined to get even. Most likely she ought to be using her creativity, cunning, and smarts for better purposes, but she's only sixteen, after all, and has been at the top of the world for long enough to believe that that is where she belongs. Those that she cares for, if she dares to care, could do with a worse protector.

History: After E'ros played escort for her mother, the future Lady Amarat, the gifted matchmaker set her up with the girl of her dreams, a young Harper by the name of Terrani. For this service, the young heiress would be forever grateful. Indeed, when it came time for the happy couple to bring a child into the world, they looked to none other than the rider E'ros! When he agreed, a bouncing baby boy, Terrat, would join their new family. He was followed by Amarani, Tema, and at last Amaretti, the youngest member of a very happy family. As there were so many children already being raised to take their mother's place, Amaretti was free to pursue whatever her heart desired.
However, that presented a bit of a problem. At a young age she excelled in her lessons, surpassing her tutor's expectations, and making her mothers quite proud. But she wasn't interested in lessons, nor in book learning in general. She learned, of course, and learned well, but her heart wasn't in it. When that fell through, she was taught all of the usual courtly graces, and let to mingle at her mothers's parties, spending time among the wealthy elite who thought her a charming child.
But no amount of charm could help her to decide her fate. From one frustrating failure to the next Amaretti found herself utterly at a loss for what to do with herself. As she grew, she found it an amusing pastime to invest in this or that tailor's wares, to wear so and so's jewelry, and so on. Given her position in society, this turned out to be something of a lucrative hobby, and she began to make money in the process. The marks were certainly welcome, and she enjoyed being dressed for social occasions.
Yet nothing seemed to quite... click. That was, until one fateful day a Bluerider by the name of H'sad came to visit her family's Hold, and his Cinonth informed her that he had found her on Search! Why, her father E'ros, for whom she was named, after all, was a dragonrider himself. Maybe it was in her blood. Lacking in current prospects, as she had not yet found a suitor with whom she was enamored (whether she would have been enamored of the suitor or his fortunes was not presently up for debate,) she chose to accept the invitation. And so it was that Amaretti came to be a Candidate at High Reaches Weyr.
Other: Has a passion for fashion... well, and a lot of other things. Models for extra marks, not that that's a pressing issues. Possesses one firelizard egg, a gift from her father, E'ros.
Also, she probably has made a fair amount of enemies in her short Turns, whether she admits to such or not. Most likely not significant, but you never know. Rivals ahoy?
