She was slowly but surely becoming more confident in her abilities as a Senshi, though she had her doubts at times. That was normal though, at least she hoped it was.
She was currently patrolling one of the nearby parks and arena's it was fairly vacant of civilian life but you might stumble across one here or there. She did her best to remain unseen from anyone, mainly to not draw attention.
Looking at her you'd think she was a little crazy anyway, the way she was dressed, head to foot in fur and soft leather, it was enough to make anyone turn their head. Despite this it wasn't hot, she wasn't exactly melting to death which was a good thing. Mainly because the leather was so breathable and she wasn't exactly wearing anything under the outer coat so it was almost ventilated in a way.
It was strange but even still, not really practical for the warmer months but when fall and winter came around she was snug as a bug in a rug.
Pausing for a moment she thought she heard something and brought her gloved hands up to remove the hood from her face, exposing her long, braided, black hair to the warm sun.
"Anyone out there?" Maybe she shouldn't have said that.

"It's a little warm for fur, isn't it?" The voice was on the masculine side, good natured and full of humor. It belonged to a blonde man radiating the same pale aura of order the senshi had surrounding her. He really wasn't one to talk, though. Less fur than her was sporting, but it was bright and pale at his collar and cuffs. Pants, boots, a long sleeved jacket that tapered at the waist and hung down to the calves in the back. He looked like he was dressed for a blizzard, not the balmy warmth of an early summer evening. A gloved hand lifted in greeting as he approached, and there was already a friendly grin plastered on handsome features. "Evening."

Looking over at the owner of the masculine voice that cut through the night air she couldn't help but note he was particularly easy on the eyes, he was also dressed warmly which made her smile. "I see you're one to talk." Laughter in her voice as she realized he was sporting much of the same aura as herself, which was refreshing. She wasn't far enough away that she couldn't close the distance between them as he lifted his hand in greeting, she was uncertain as if she should take it so she gave a small bow of her head and smiled. "Evening." Repeating the phrase to the male she looked around for a moment before returning her attention to the man before her. "Have you had a quiet night so far?" She hoped that the area hadn't been too active as of late but it could be different for the two of them. He might have had a busier evening than herself, she'd only felt traces but was unable to actually find anyone. And he found her in the end so maybe she wasn't the best at this? "I'm Kiviuq." Introducing herself might be a good thing to do.

The grin broadened at her observation on his similarly over bundled appearance. "Guilty as charged. Mercury knights aren't really built for the warmer months." Though he supposed it could have been worse. They could have lacked any sort of magical protection against the heat. Even if what they did have was minor, it certainly helped. "I'm Baikal, Page of Mercury," he returned easily. "And I suppose it's been quiet enough. Chased down a small youma a couple of hours ago and dusted it, but that's it so far." It wasn't the quietest night he'd had, but he certainly wasn't the busiest, either. He didn't really mind the boring evenings, anyways. It meant, hopefully, people were getting home safely. "How about you? Busy night?"

She had never met a Mercury Knight before so this was a treat, sort of. It was going to give her a chance to learn more about the other factions. "Senshi of the Arctic," Was it normal to introduce what you were of, it seemed to be that way. "That's good to hear! Mine has been rather uneventful. I keep losing trails and coming up short." To say she wasn't at least a little relieved by that fact would be a lie, but she also wanted to help more. Each youma taken off the streets meant one less for the negaverse to use against those that mattered to her. "Would you mind if we joined up for the evening? I always hear that having a partner is the best way to go about things." Not that she was implying he needed a partner or anything, it was just something she had been told once.

The page grinned brightly down at the wintery senshi. "A pleasure to meet you, Kiviuq." Or so he hoped. She at least seemed pleasant enough on initial introductions. Someone that could relate to the woes of the overly dressed in the sweltering summers within the city. The request wasn't an expected one, but her certainly wasn't about to turn down a bit of company for the remainder of the night. Patrol could get quite boring, which wasn't exactly a bad thing, but it did make things stretch on and on. "I don't mind at all."

His formalities were refreshing and she reached up to play with one her braids without really thinking about it. It was just nerves she guessed, a habit she had yet to break. As he agreed with her idea of pairing up she smiled and released her hair. "Where haven't you patrolled yet? Perhaps we can go that direction first?" Offering a suggestion of where they could start at least. "Perhaps you can tell me a little bit about yourself and me you? So we know what strengths and weaknesses we are working with in case we come across a youma or an agent of the negaverse?" It was a suggestion, she understood if he didn't want to go over things like that.

"I started out north of here, so we could head south," he offered helpfully with a gesture of his hand to suggest they start moving. As they walked they could talk. "Well, as I've already mentioned I'm a Mercury page, my wonder is some huge frozen lake and my weapon is a snowball." There wasn't much to him, at least not at surface level. "It's not a very helpful weapon, unfortunately, but I did get extra speed and strength after awakening as this." Pretty much the only perk he enjoyed. Baikal glanced at her. "So how about yourself?"

Where had she come from? Re-centering herself she made a quick mental note of which way was what and then gave a nod of her head to what he had offered. "I came from the east, so that's perfect. We can probably just make a loop and finish off the area if it doesn't take too long." Her suggestion for how to perhaps finish off the evening when they head out. When he mentioned a snowball she smiled. "Well, those happen to hurt if you get hit in the face hard enough." She laughed at the thought, she'd been pelted with a few in her younger years. "Oh, I just throw frozen wind around for the most part. Nothing truly exciting."

It wouldn't take too long to make a loop of the park, and friendly conversation made the time go by even quicker. By the time they'd circled back to where they'd started and Baikal was saying his goodbyes they'd had quite the pleasant conversation about the similarities, differences, and usefulness of both their powers, and a few wistful speculations of different weapons and magics that might have been more traditionally useful. "Thank you for the company, kiviuq, it's been an absolute pleasure." He grinned at her. "Maybe we'll run into each other again some time, I would't mind teaming up for a patrol again."

She had to say, having someone to talk to made things go by quicker, and the fact the had plenty of similarities was refreshing. "I hope we meet again soon Baikal. If we do, I'd be more than happy to patrol with you again." Smiling in return she turned and headed off towards home.
