It had taken days of work to get the job done (even though, technically, it would have only taken hours if he'd actually put some effort into things) but low and behold, the lazy Mauvian had finally gotten the job done. The crystal had been fastened, the device had been tinkered and tested on and after a few experiments in the Negaverse thanks to the trusty portal still at the school, he'd been more than satisfied with the results. Delighted with them, even.
His first course of action, naturally, was to show off all of his hard work. What was the point of being forced to use his noggin' for important things if he didn't flaunt it around to others?
The first on his list to show off to was the girl he knew would be more excited than anyone else (well, that is, besides the cutie with the booty). He'd bided his time, waiting for her to eventually get the motivation to go patrolling, the large feline lounging on her bed as he watched her offer both himself and the squirt of a kitten a kiss on their heads before running down the stairs and out the door, henshin pen hidden on her person.
He gave her exactly two minutes before finally rising from his spot on the bed, flipping midair until his brand new toy landed with a soft thump on the comforter. In a flourish, skinny fingers were prying open the cracked window to the teenager's bedroom before the lanky man made his quick getaway from the abode.
He had a senshi to find and a surprise to unveil.

With Axton back and Akio out of school, Rory's schedule was more occupied than it had been in the last six months. It was exciting, feeling like she had friends and a social life that didn't revolve around work or volunteer work. This, coupled with actual work, meant that her time was more limited and she wasn't patrolling quite like she should have been.
It didn't help that powering up made her miss her two best friends that she'd practically lost forever, but she'd been putting it off longer than she should have and that was no way for an eternal to act.
So there she was, in all of her magical girl glory, making rounds and intending on draining energy from the sleazier looking people that she came across. Most of them were drunk or high, or even unconscious which make it easier for her to justify the energy draining that she'd do.
She had yet to take a starseed, having only touched one so that she could get her attacker off of her, and she intended to keep it that way if she could.
The idea of taking someone's soul still made her shiver.

Clawed fingers clung to the edge of the rooftop as his nose wrinkled. It was an odd sensation, sniffing without whiskers, but he was slowly - slowly - getting used to the sensation. The fluffy tail behind him swooshed and scraped against the apartment complex's shingles before the young man took a flying leap off the ledge, a series of tiny, cheerful jingles following after him as he dashed his way through the street.
There were several auras out and about, most of which gave him the inkling that he needed to avoid said feeling but there was a familiar darkness that came with the signature of a Chaos aura that he found himself trying to chase. Pinpointing was nearly impossible but he scaled up the closest building to get a better view from the rooftops up above. Hopping from one location to the next, clawed toes were forced to remember their inefficiency as he landed each time.
Hell, this was definitely going to take some getting used to.
Chasing the feeling led him to a more unsavory side of town - not one that teenage girls needed to be wandering about in. Corrupted Eternal Sailors, however....
Green eyes scouted the area until he spotted a familiar looking braid and his grin spread wide. She was doing some searching of her own, no doubt for the first energy donation of the evening, giving him just enough time to take a running jump and leap and then ----
"Don't you think this neighborhood is a little dangerous for pretty girls like you to be wandering around in? Maybe you could use an escort, ma'am."
Hands on his hips, Bob smirked and lifted his chin up as he waited for the senshi to turn around.

Someone was following her.
Or rather, Hydra thought someone was but every time she looked around she found herself alone save for a few wandering civilians. All around her auras blinked, some feeling closer than others and some drifting just outside of her senses as she was sure hers did to others.
She didn't expect to have someone show up behind her and when she turned her shoulders were tense and she was nearly ready to whip out her magic.
But....
The person in front of her....that voice...it couldn't be.
"B-bob?"

Shoes scuffed against the pavement as he moved to make a flourishing bow before the young senshi. Having clothing that covered his feet was still really ******** weird but walking on one's hind legs was weird practice in general anyways.
"The one and only, baby girl."
Bottlecaps jingled at his side as he straightened himself back up, long legs carrying him closer to the tiny girl with wide, jade eyes. The long, orange tail behind him bobbed and waved until he was standing directly beside her, then it dipped over towards her space and gently bopped the teenager.
"Rather, it's Sailor Bob now. Like what you see?" Bob was rather pleased, himself, but Bob was also very, very biased.

She couldn't believe her eyes.
The longer she looked at him the more foreign he looked. Gone was her mangy tom cat and in his place was a tall man with animal features and most importantly shoes. She remembered that he could turn into this humanoid stage before but this was different.
She couldn't feel an overwhelming broadcasting of aura that spread through out what had felt like the whole city that one time.
It was soft, perhaps even weaker than her own large eclipsing one.
"How long have you been able to do that?" She asked, toying with her skirts as she took in everything about him.
While he still looked like someone who was homeless, between the scruff and the coat, he looked less mangy and she didn't know how to handle that.

"What, not a fan?"
There was a shrug, the tall man doing his best to hide the growing disappointment as he opened the long coat he'd been granted during this evolution he'd discovered during his experimenting. Out came the long bottle he'd affixed his crystal to, flipping the container casually before catching it with his long, pale fingers.
"Not long," he finally answered, green eyes cutting over towards the tsunami senshi, "Been practicing for a few days here and there, wanted to get it down pat when it came time to showing off for the folks I care about."
Hint, hint.
The bottle was tipped in her direction before returning to its safe spot within his coat. The silver caps around his head jingled as his ears flattened, one hand reaching up to scratch behind his own furry ear.
"You don't seem too impressed, kid. Is it the outfit? I mean, I didn't get to pick it out but I feel like I kinda own it, if you know what I mean."

She was disappointing him, she could feel it and it made her heart race and panic swell in her chest. "That's not-- I just...It's different, that's all." Hydra shrugged a little helplessly, offering a weak smile in hopes that it would reduce his concerns.
How was she supposed to say that she was surprised and that, in general, surprises didn't go over that well with her no matter how well intended they might have been.
Jade eyes followed the bottle and she stepped forward, forcing her hands away from her skirt to feel the threading on his jacket. So even cats could be come senshi....
Hydra couldn't process how she felt about that.
"I-- I'm just worried about what this means. I don't want you getting hurt because you can be like this." Her brows furrowed with concern and then she threw her arms around his waist for a hug. "I can't lose you too."

He watched as she gently began to fiddle with the fabric of his overcoat. It was certainly more clothing than he was used to when he produced his human feet, but based on the reflections he managed to snag every now and then in the Negaverse's crystals, he wasn't a terrible looker. In fact, Bob would dare say he looked as suave as ever, but his small companion seemed to feel differently about things.
When she made her confession (which then turned into a sudden hug), one hand moved down to press against her back, the grown man laughing softly. Bottlecaps continued to jingle with the movement, his other hand shifting to tilt her head up by her chin.
"Hey, kid - I'm the one who's supposed to look out for you, remember?"
His eyebrow rose as he smirked.
"And besides, it's me. You know it's gonna take more than a silly sailor attack to take out your Bob."
The cat-man did his best to return the affection, the simple practice of hugging an unfamiliar one. He was used to being lifted up and hugged, faces burying themselves in his fur but never had he... well, never had he been given the opportunity to actually hug back.
"I'm only able to keep this up for an hour or so anyways," he grumbled, almost bitterly. The irritation was present but it was an experiment with results he was still coming to terms with, "Can't cause too much trouble as a dashingly handsome rogue in that amount of time."
Pause.
"So what do you say we see what sort of mischief we can get into, then, for the rest of my time tonight?"
Green eyes peered down hopefully at his charge, offering her a toothy grin. "Will you take on a partner for tonight, baby girl?"

"Doesn't mean I can't look out for you too," Hydra argued, pulling back and offering him a brighter smile than she had all night. "We can look out for each other." Because that's what friends did, that's what they did even when they were fighting.
His offer made her wrinkle her nose but she nodded, slipping a gloved hand into his before she tugged him forward.
"Yeah, okay, but stay close." She looked up at him expectantly, pausing long enough to make sure that he understood he was serious. Hydra wouldn't be able to forgive herself if something happened to him because they got separated.
"C'mon, clock's ticking," she tried to tease, squeezing his hand.
