Pepper wasn't sure what the other demon was doing, right there in the middle of one of the common rooms, but she was certain it wasn't anything good. The problem with that is that she couldn't quite figure out exactly what it was she was doing. She'd spent a few minutes just watching, not quite in the room, trying to figure it out. The only problem was that the other demon was blocking the way. Huffing, tail swishing a few times, she crossed her arms and debated. She could go get a teacher, just in case it was something she wasn't supposed to have or do, but if it wasn't, she'd look like a fool and a tattletale.
After a mental debate, Pepper stepped further into the room. She'd just have to figure it out! "What're you doing?" she asked, edging around to see whatever was in front of the other demon.
It had been a rather uneventful and boring day. Well actually Kieran hadn't moved fast enough when they were escaping from their prank and was currently in detention. So pherein was on her own, which was never a good idea. Plus everyone was just so bleh in the common room. So pherein decided to change this. She was right in the middle of setting up a new prank, a rather harmless one that involved glitter and confetti raining down when ever any one sat on a certain couch cushion, when her attention was drawn to another demon. Some how she didn't think she would be so lucky to get another pranking acquaintance. Of course that could just be from the expression on the others face,
"Mmm lightening up the atmosphere in the room, no crime in that" pherein answered.

"But what exactly does that mean?" Pepper asked. Lightening up the atmosphere? It looked more like she was messing with the cushions of one of the couches. And. . was that a bottle of glitter sitting next to her? Taking a few more steps into the room, she saw that not only was there glitter, there was also a mass of confetti next to the demon.
"Wait, weren't you put in detention earlier?" Now that Pepper was closer, she got a better look at the other demon. She wasn't sure what had happened but she'd seen the other go by with one of the teachers, who hadn't looked too happy with her. Briefly, she'd heard the words detention, but she could be mistaken. Maybe it had just been a warning. Either way, she certainly wasn't supposed to be doing whatever it was.
Pherein sighed and rubbed the bridge of their nose. This was going to be a long hour or two until Kieran got off. However they were older now and less prone to just throw something at people that annoyed them or pull out a prank from their pocket. Okay deep breath, not everyone managed to get pherein' sense of play and fairness when it didn't have to do with making bullies play so Pherein would give them the benefit of the doubt.
"It is truly simple, basically if means everyone seems a little down in here. I wanted to set up a friendly prank to bring a smile to whoever sits there. Most everyone likes confetti and glitter and compliments right?" Pherein answered.
" nope, haven't been in detention today.You probably saw my twin Kieran...if you saw some one like me although considering Kieran has purple hair I don't know how you mistook me for them. Of course Kieran was wearing a hat today I think" pherein mused.

Oh, Pepper's face burned. Now that the other had pointed it out, it definitely had been someone else. "Sorry, my mistake," she apologized. "I. ..suppose that's true?" Pepper watched for a few more moments. She was pretty sure what this demon was setting up was a prank, albeit a fairly harmless one. Certainly nothing that she should be reporting to the teacher. Well, it would make quite a mess though, wouldn't it? There would be glitter in this particular common room for days.
"Why would you take it upon yourself to set something like this up though? Not that it's. . particularly a bad thing." Pepper was still on the fence about that. Sure most people wouldn't mind those things, but maybe unexpectedly wasn't the best way to go for it.
Pherein looked at the other and assessed them a bit. She hadn't expected them to admit their mistake, as normally those types didn't. Maybe she had been a little harsh when refuting the other demon's statement. Then again she was used to being mistaken as Kieran. It almost seemed as if growing up people often just lumped them into one person since they were always together. She knew Kieran and herself often didn't help as they were very much in their world of us and any one that is not us.
"It's what I do" pherein answered. " I like being mischevious but I don't like hurting people in the process. The goal isn't to make others miserable. If you have made them miserable, you fail. So I set things up like this to make smiles. I was gonna think about bothering a senior to charm the seat as well to make the glitter form a compliment in the air since I am not that good at charms yet."

Pepper stood straighter when she noticed the other demon had turned to observe her. She didn't think that the other had been in any of her classes, but she supposed she could be wrong. Though, now that the other was looking at her full on, she did recognize that she'd seen her around quite frequently. In fact, if she wasn't mistaken, she'd seen her and someone who looked remarkably alike just before she'd walked into the common room the other week to a round of applause and confetti raining down on her. She'd been baffled, but after seeing her setting this up, it made a lot more sense.
"The thought is nice," Pepper mused aloud, more to herself than to Pherein. "How often do you set these sort of things up. . . and don't the teachers catch you--" Pepper cut off her second question, realizing that the scene earlier would answer that. Waving the second part off, she changed her question. "Do you stick around to see the results then?" Now that Pepper had been satisfied that she wasn't doing any harm to anyone, she was more curious than anything.
"Well when ever I think people need pick me ups, like before finals. Okay so not right before finals because stress of gettin by your work and tests done. Also I attempt to do it right after finals because cheer up from all that stress. Actually I probably throw a prank a week." Pherein answered carefully keeping out the fact that not all of them where benevolent like this one. Some people just needed punches to the face and what pherein couldn't stand was a bully. However some how pherein didn't think that was going to go over to well with her current companion.
" you know I never did get your name. Figure getting grilled out we should probably swap names. I'm Pherein" she replied taking a seat on the couch she had been previously setting up. She made sure that most of the time she couldn't trigger her own pranks. Freshling years had been interesting after all but everyone had to grow. Hmm that probably wasn't exactly what the caretakers met but pherein tended not to listen to them most of the time.

"Ah, sorry! My name is Pepper." She winced, getting reminded that she hadn't done the proper introductions. Well, considering she'd thought that the other was doing something troublesome, she hadn't wanted them to turn around and blame the prank on her. But now that she'd been reassured that nothing untoward was going on, she could have hit herself for failing to recall the need.
Picking her way across the floor to the other couch that Pherein hadn't been working on, she took a seat as well. She paused before speaking next. ". . .Next time you do something like this. . would you allow me to help?" Honestly she wouldn't be much help, she wasn't really the pranking type, but she would like to do something like this during stressful times. Well, she could see if Pherein would let her help and then hopefully she'd get her own ideas for something of the sort. The only thing she could currently think of was making some sort of sweet and she wasn't the best at those either. Maybe something with her familiars?
"No really big worries, after all it's not like we didn't have more important things to worry about. We swapped names now, that's what matters." Pherein answered seeing the wince on the other. "As toy our earlier question I do stick around. After all I need to know what worked, what didn't, what didn't go over to well. Basically the like." Plus if she was doing a prank on a bully, she definitely wanted to watch them flounder.
Pherein tapped the arm rest of the couch, listening as pepper asked if they could help. The other demon didn't look like the type to want to prank or get into pranking but pherein had been talking about making people feel better and personally she had noticed there was a lack of that.
" yeah, okay I wouldn't mind having some help next time" pherein decided. She would have to tame some of her stuff down during that time and have a long talk with Kieran because phe didn't think pepper and Kieran would get along at all, however it wouldn't be boring.
