Wisteria was feeling rather…listless. She had always thought that going into Grendel was going to be the be all, end all of her dreams and that when she got into the fashion industry, everything would just…fall into place as easily as…well.
The hybrid frowned slightly, folding her wings close and tucking a strand of her pale hair behind an ear.
There was some sort of analogy here, she knew but…analogy? Or simile? Did it really…matter?
She sighed, rolling her eyes and falling back onto her bed, mindful not to rumble her wings too badly. She had to always look good, after all. But…there was just something…missing. She was bored most of the time, unwilling to go to classes, unwilling to do the part she needed to graduate, unable to see the point of it all.
So she would be able to get a good job…but…did money really matter? Or whatever small toehold of fame that she might be able to get? It didn’t seem worth it. Maybe…she could change her major? Try something else? Or just…give it all up as a bad job and just…
Just what?
Just lay here forever.
Maybe she was lonely. When was the last time she had gone and hung out with anyone? Gone to any parties…had any fun what so ever? Wisteria stared up at the ceiling, a small frown on her face. She couldn’t even remember. Everything had just been study and slight despair that nothing was going the way it should and now she was just…
Tired.
Walking around life with no purpose would do that to you though, she supposed…so perhaps it was time to figure out a purpose. Maybe…she should look into imbuing…
Quietly, she pushed herself up, frowning. This was a new idea, and one that she wasn’t sure she was ready for at all but…now that the idea had sparked, she liked it. It sounded…good and it felt right.
There was a small pang of guilt though…should she really be wanting to add to the population when there were so many unwanted nightmares around who she could potentially adopt and help…? Wouldn’t that be the more ‘responsible’ choice in the matter?
Most likely, yeah but…
But sometimes you were allowed to be selfish, were you not? And she wanted…to pass her own talents and looks down to a child. She wanted someone with the pale, fluffy wings that she did, someone who she could just hold and love.
Smiling now, Wisteria got out of bed and began dressing. She had to look her best if she were going to imbue…she wanted the infant to have the best life ever…and plus…maybe this would give her the push she needed to go and finish her degree…the push to get out into the world and start…living the way she should be.
The hybrid stretched before leaving her apartment, letting her wings stretch to their full extent, before folding them back and walking out the door. This was a life changing move she was making…and honestly?
She couldn’t be more excited.
