Biography: Born Blake Hunter, to a well known family of Marines; he already had massive weight placed upon his shoulders. Growing up he had a code of morals, and way of life instilled into him by his father. Throughout the years he trained hard under his father's regimen, showing great potential but nothing less was expected from a child with the blood of Jack Hunter. Pushing his son to extreme limits put overwhelming stress on the child, but such a thing did not deter the young child. Over the years this child grew into the prodigal son of a Marine, who then enlisted when he was 18 years of age. Eager to impress his father. he passed his tests and soared through the petty ranks with ease in less than a year. Such notoriety and skill was short lived, as he was injured in the line of duty. During a long battle between the fleet he was in and the lieutenants of a Shichibukai, he was stabbed in the back causing him to be paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life. Lying in a hospital bed for days upon days, not once was he visited by his father, only his loving mother. Blake tried to understand as his father was a man of importance since being stationed to Marineford months before. Yet days turned into weeks and weeks into months and all his father could muster up was a letter saying "Get Better!". In all honesty, his father was disappointed in him. Feeling ashamed, he was depressed and remained hospitalized for a few more months until one day he was approached by the Lead Marine Scientist; Dr. Schmiederberg. The scientist offered him an option to take his life back, with a new study they were conducting under the code name Project Thanatos. The project was a study to treat and cure life-threatning/crippling ailments; or at least that was what they told those who enlisted. Blake wanted his life back, and he wanted to show his father he wasn't a lost cause, so he signed away with no qualms. However. In actuality Project Thanatos was using a drug to slip the enlistees into a comatose and labeled them as "Sleepers". Each subject was given a different code name, and each subject was experimented on in different ways as well. The goal of the Project was to create cyborgs which were stronger than the Pacifista in every way. In order to further manipulate these subjects, Dr. Schmiederberg used brainwashing to overwrite the original personality of the subject thus leaving a Blank State to be modified in whatever way he wished. And so he did away with Blake Hunter, and Keres was born. Blake Hunter was from there on out, thought to be AWOL, and thus a wanted man. This was because Project Thanatos was actually ran off the books and operated solely by Dr. Schmiederberg. Within a week, the facility was stormed by Marines, to arrest the doctor on the order of the higher ups. Though after the doctor was arrested, the soldiers unloaded into him one by one. Then the soldiers began to destroy the test subjects. However, as they neared Keres a power within him awakened pushing him to live on and he slaughtered the lot of them. All the while the scientist laughing madly in the background. As Keres approached his creator reeking of blood and malice, watching as he took his last breath with a proud expression on his face. Without a care, Keres escaped the lab holding no knowledge of his past self or even who he was. There was one thing he was sure of though, someone was trying to cover their tracks, and it was a mystery to him.
