Hunter had so much to do still! He had a design project to work on. His dance studio had a big event coming up, and he was one of the main instructors. Knowing his hard work had helped bring something like together...it had made his classes at Grendel all the more worthwhile. However, he hadn't been sleeping well. It was fortunate he had a roommate... he wondered if he lived on his own if he'd simply forget to take care of himself. Hunter was always helping others. The hallowed Grimm had always struggled with himself growing up, but one constant even as a younger pup was his friendship with Lilja. Hunter had purposely over studied..rushing through his days at the Academy to get away. Even university had been easy for him, studying came naturally. His double major in dance and education had been mostly uneventful, although productive.
It didn't change his being Hallowed, however. With his twin tails... he felt like an embarrassment to his Grimm friends. At least with his job, no one seemed to mind. Yet even with his fears, she had stayed with his friend. Hunter wasn't sure why...but he was glad for her all the same. The upbeat, full of life and spunk girl hadn't given him the option to be alone. The thought made him smile despite being worn out.
Sighing Hunter leaned back in his chair. Rubbing his eyes some the brown, and black colored Grimm gave a lazy stretch as he stood up. Scooping up his cellphone he glanced at the time, before looking back at his work. Hunter rested his hand on his chin.

Lilja had a long day which meant that whatever was left in the day, she was gonna make it the best! She burst through Hunter and her apartment's door, a large box in one hand and a drink carrier in the other. "Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunter!~ I'm home!" She called out, moving to the kitchen to set the box and drinks down. She then moved to his room, seeing he wasn't in there. She then checked the study, seeing the grimm looking at his phone. "Hey! I said I was home!" She teased, smiling brightly. "I picked us up some food." She added, peaking at his project. "It's looking really good! You got quite a bit done today, when is it due again?" She asked, shooing him out of the room and leading him to the kitchen where she had left the pizza and soda. "You gotta eat." She told him, moving to grab two plates and setting them at the table then moving to pizza from the counter to the table. She then sat a soda at two of the four spots to fit. "Come on, sit." She coaxed, washing her hand before she took a seat. It was time to gorge, especially after her team was destroyed viciously early that day and one of her other friend got injured. Today was bad but it didn't have to be all bad.

Hunter's ears perked up at the sound of the front door. The familiar voice of his friend brought an easy smile to his face. Turning in his chair, he waited for her knowing she'd find him without much effort. "Lilja~!" He greeted her with a smile, a sense of relief at seeing her put him at ease. Waving to her, he quickly got uprising to his feet with a small stretch. "Hi, welcome home it's great, to see you." Hunter added with affirmation as he went to pull her into a brief, albeit warm embrace. "Mmm food? That sounds great, I was just wondering about that and you." He had been about to text her in fact. She had merely come home before he could get around to it.
The Grimm glanced at her and the computer screen. His cheeks flushed slightly. "Two days from now, I was just reviewing the final draft for presentation. I have the song track ready, as well as the hand outs for the program ready to go to the printer." He seemed pleased with this.
"Fine, fine I will." Hunter agreed reluctantly. Sometimes he wondered if he was on his own, would he even remember to take care of himself? The idea made the wolf's ears flick back some with a small sigh. It was impossible to stay down with her energetic presence of course.
"Hey. How was your day? I know your next game I'm coming to, I already got the day off" Hunter mentioned before listening to Lilja and sitting down in his usual spot beside her. He looked surprised she had already setup everything it brought a softer, more genuine smile from the older Grimm. Grabbing his first slice of pizza he nibbled at the first couple bites.

Lilja smiled, moving to sit beside her older friend. "You have plenty of time to finish your project, do you need any help?" She asked as she started to serve herself a couple slices of pizza. She took at bite of her food then a small drink of soda. "Mnn well today wasn't too good... BUT I got pizza and plan to hang out with you till I need to sleep.. even if it is just helping you finish your project." She told him with a large smile. It meant a lot to her that he made sure he could go to her games, the extra support is why she loved Hunter... He was the best big brother and friend. He had always been there for her, even if she hadn't told him she was upset.. he always cheered her up!
"Yeah, it's a pretty big game! I heard rumor that some skill scouts will be there! I really think this is my chance! Even if I get into a minor league for soccer, I would be just tickled!" She giggled as her tail swished back and forth with excitement. "And if I don't get picked, well... there is always next year! Not to mention when I am in college!" She told him, smiling big as she felt her determination and confidence build. Yeah, she could do this!

Hunter felt his smile pulling at his lips. Lilja was the only family he had. Growing up in the care of the academy... she came crashing into his life as a small energetic freshling. He had been a loner as a freshling well into his junior year before he met her. "Maybe. You are good with poses I can have you help me wrap up the design work for the cover." He looked thoughtful. "Another set of ears to go over the program would be great too thanks." He focused on his food for a bit until switching to sip on his soda. The air between them was a comfortable familiar one that Hunter appreciated.
"Oh? That sounds tough but, it's also fire to keep going when those bad games happen." He tilted his head. "Yea you can hang out with me of course... I haven't talked to anyone today besides my printer friend about sending the job over when I'm done." He admitted sheepishly. "We can play a game or whatever too I got time." Hunter touched her shoulder gently giving it a soft squeeze.
"Skill scouts? Girl. You got this. There is no one alive who loves the game more than you do. I believe in you Lil." His eyes widened, a toothy smile lining the brown and black Grimms features. "Then I really will have to make sure I go to all your games eh?" He laughed as he leaned back in his chair. Both his tails flicked back and forth lazily. "Yes! You have tons of time. I know you'll get it. The more exposure you get the better." He tapped clawed digit on the table. "I can't wait to hear what happens!" Hunter's tail swished excitedly. "I know you'll go the distance...if anyone can you can," Hunter added quietly as he went to take another bite of food.
"Everything else going well? School? Friends?" He watched her, noticing how pumped up and determined she seemed made him happy.

Lilja was pumped that he accepted her help and even said that he would make time for games too! "Sounds good! I got your back!" She told him, eating more of her food as she thought about his project. She had been watching him work on it for a while now, it was really awesome to see how far he had come. He was right though, she was pretty good with poses and she had really good listening skills too; both of which are good skills to have when helping your friend. She liked living with Hunter and was really glad that he had asked her to move in rather than live at the academy. It had been a little hard for Hunter to get legal guardian rights but he managed it. Now she could do whatever she wanted and have fun... so long as she kept up her grades and stayed clean and healthy, Hunter said she wouldn't interfere with her life. Not that she would ever mind if he did, she trusts him.
The support felt great, "Yeah! You'll get to see my games for free! Promise! You can always be my +1!" She smiled brightly, taking a sip of soda. "I'll get picked in due time, Crispin too likely... Though he is better at baseball than soccer." She laughed some, eating more food. "Life is pretty good, Hunter." She told him. "I think Crispin likes me... like... a lot. It's kinda cute. I am just a little confused why he hasn't asked me on a date or anything." She told him. "Aside from that, I am really happy I picked being a pro athlete as my goal in life. I should probably have a back up too... I was thinking or graphic design or something. That way I can help make and manage an online site for you for when you become at hot shot!" She told him.

Hunter listened to Lilja as his gloomy expression lightened up. Her cheerful antics and energy made his chest swell with pride. "I know you do... It's why I'm giving in finally." He shook his head, despite the enthusiastic sway to his tail. Between them, the work would get done faster. It meant they could spend their energies on something leisurely.
For Hunter, it had made sense to seek legal guardianship. He had to fight for it in some respects, including over working in his profession. But all of it was worth it. Hunter did, in fact, let her do as she pleased; so long as they kept their understanding...Hunter always intended to keep this fact, reality. He had never felt like he had to interfere. Wasn't she a dumb kid... energetic and full of zest? Absolutely.
"Oh! Do I, now?" Hunter felt tears threaten his bright blue eyes. Pride made his heart swell, thudding in his chest. Munching on several bites of food he leaned back with a lazy sigh. Tilting his head his ears flicked forward as he listened to her. It wasn't just her words... But the tone. "You will. You are immensely talented." He praised, and rightfully so. "Is it? Good. That makes me happy to hear." He grinned at the other wagging a finger at her. "What is there not to like? I can't say I blame him." Hunter hummed thoughtfully. "Not for lack of confidence. I've seen the kid on the field. We will see." He shrugged having no idea how the other Grimm truly felt.
"A back up is always good. It's why I also majored in education.... encase the dance studio doesn't work out." He mentioned, despite the businesses successes. His cheeks flushed at her offer. "You could easily put your skills and brains to use. The skies the limit kiddo. I'll make sure of it." He promised as he finished his first slice of pizza before sipping his drink in contemplation.
"One of these days I'll meet someone who looks at me half the way your friend does, you." He teased, sneaking one of her olives off her plate.

Lilja smiled to Hunter, "Honestly, as long as I have my pack... I'll always be okay." She told him, finishing her pizza. "I was thinking of trying hockey this next semester... But I am not sure if it will be comfortable since... You know, grimms don't wear shoes... Thus skates.. hmm, I'm sure there is a charm for that though." She laughed a bit, finishing her soda.
"As for Crispin, I'm sure he is nervous or maybe just views us as friends... Which is alright too." Lilja explained, "And as for you! We will find you someone that looks to you like I do and more. You are so great, Hunter. Anyone would be lucky to have you by their side." She told him, poking at his cheek playfully.

Both his tails flick back and forth as in consideration. "Yes... having a pack is important." He had one because of her. She was his family. Hunter had no other pack mates otherwise. Finishing his slice of pizza he nibbled on the next piece as he sighed happily. His brows raised as he smiled. "Hockey huh? Wouldn't that be fun. I don't know I'm not very good with magic. I'm sure there is, however. This world we live in is incredible." Hunter looked thoughtful. Finishing his food up and soda he leaned back in his chair as he listened to his sister.
Hunter smiled. "You are young and a beauty. Time will tell for him I suppose. You do your thing, 's all you can do really." He chucked with a shrug, as he was not a mind reader. Hunter's dark cheeks flushed as tried to not panic. "Ahah...no...its okay. I am fine!!" He waved his clawed paws frantically. As she poked at his cheek he laughed, reaching over to ruffle her ear fondly.
Whatever the case was, Hunter had his pack and that was adequate enough to make his life worth living.

Lilja moved to hug Hunter tightly, "I love you! You are the best brother anyone could ask for... Thank you for taking care of me!" He smiled brightly. "I was considering hockey. We will see." She mentioned, pulled away and collecting the plates and cups. "Oh don't be modest! You know you'd be happy with a strong man in your life... Or a super sweet boy or girl.. that maybe call you.. senpai!" She laughed, smiling to him. "I know you very well, Hunter. I know you'd love that!" She told him, moving out of the kitchen. "Let's go do your project! Come on!"

Hunter wrapped his arms around her as he held her to his chest tightly. Nuzzling the top of her head he smiled softly. "I love you too kiddo...thank you too." She had saved him from being lonely. He adored his little sister, Hunter was proud he could be her legal guardian. "Yea you got time." He smiled. Even if they weren't related by their stones or magic, none of that mattered.
Lilja was his sibling, end of story. Especially as she teased him like that. His ears flicked back as he looked flustered. "Ah...i..I might yea." The idea of a strong man around... or a cute boy or girl who looked up to him...all those options sounded nice. But..it wouldn't happen. "Pfft...senpai? Listen to you troublemaker." He grinned at her as he got up stretching. "Yea faster we finish up sooner we can binge watch some movies together before bed time~" Hunter moved to go get his laptop, and playlist setup to go with the program. Finishing up the design cover would be easier with another sharp wit to consider their options to make everything easier. Plus he had company.
Hunter didn't believe he would ever find a mate. His being a hallowed Grimm had made him reluctant to meet others. He felt like he was a freak, but kept such thoughts under lock and key. Besides. When would some mysterious attractive stranger come walking into his life like a love story? That just didn't happen in real life, his wasn't a fairytale. Yet Hunter stayed positive for Lilja, so not to worry her.
