F'ell visibly flinched as a new voice flooded his thoughts, and it took a little bit of self-control to not raise his had to the side of his head. He'd only been used to Teth's voice, the tone so loud and happy that anything other than his own dragon was....unsettling. He assumed that all people who Teth "spoke" to must have felt this way and maybe he should feel bad for them.
He
didn't but maybe someone else would.
Still, hearing the voice brought up a wonderful thought. If they were able to have their dragons talk entirely for them then F'ell was going to find this whole encounter so much easier. Except, of course, for the fact that Teth didn't talk so much as babble and babble and carry on to the point of excess. Case in point, he could hear him continuing his babbling from before, this time to a poor dragon who was clearly too polite to tell the massive brown to shove off. With a sigh, F'ell got to his feet and started into the office.
Teth, I know it'll be hard but I need you to focus. The dragon stopped whatever he was doing as F'ell reached out.
I may need you to talk for me, or at least speak to V'mel's dragon.I can do that!! Teth's enthusiastic and loving reply gave the normally apathetic teen something to smile about, but it quickly left his face as he viewed the man in front of him.
F'ellmine?F'ell had decided that V'mel had not changed, at least from the memories he had in his youth. A bit more grey about the temples perhaps, but still that same stern look that his mother said decorated his own features. It was painfully obvious by looking that this man was his father, even if V'mel did not know it. He could have stood there in silence and made this more awkward, but how exactly was all of this going to go down? F'ell was a poor speaker at best and a downright terrible one at worst.
Teth came through again with more affection, and from the pulse of it the teen was able to assume his dragon was attempting to move closer. He wasn't sure if he was welcome to land on the ledge or anything, but he would be nearby.
I am here. You can talk, I will help you. F'ell honestly didn't think he could but he was going to try.
"I...am. F'ell, of...Brown Teth." There was some hesitation in his words but none of the stuttering he'd normally have. He was taking his time thinking, moving himself slow. Maybe all that talking with his mother earlier had helped him out, and Teth's confident boost was certainly nothing to gloss over. "I...wanted....to talk with you, over....an investment you have made."
