Hope this is okay! Let me know if anything needs to be changed!

Corvus and Scylla had not forgotten. Neither did Metis, which... she wasn't sure how to parse. Perhaps it was still effective after all this time and, perhaps, the Primer sorely needed an update. Regardless of her presence or absence, the ranks were still swelling on both sides, and there were only so many Mauvians to go around. Senshi did not always have a Mau to guide them, and the very few who did seemed to benefit. Maus seemed to be exclusive to Senshi, therefore...

...what of the Knights, who did not have the Mauvians?

Did they have more of a mentor/mentee system? Or were they completely alone? These were questions she simply did not have, and furthermore, she had no idea how to transmit the Primer, once updated, to Knights. As far as she knew, Knights did not possess a cellphone the way senshi did. That proposed and even greater problem...

Kallichore had sat on a park bench, pen and paper filled with hurried script in her lap, trying to connect all the dots. She was oblivious to the world for a while, zoned in on this particular communications problem, when her mental radar picked up a signature. Order. Great power. Brown eyes lifted from the paper, discerning this signature belonged to a Knight.

Serendipity indeed.

Hurrying along to find the owner of said signature, willing the papers into subspace for the time being, Kallichore repinned her hair to not appear so flustered. She wasn't anxious, she was intrigued. "Excuse me! I was hoping you might have some time to spare. I've a few questions for a Knight, if you don't mind."

Nick had been doing much better with life.
Mostly. He had been on patrols only sparingly, but was doing his best. He had curbed most of his flirting by…well. Mostly by cutting off everyone that he had ever flirted with. He texted Virell sometimes, not as much as he did and besides…conversations with the blonde were hard to deal with now…he never knew quite what to say.

He hadn’t been in contact with Ida lately either but…but that was okay, though he would have liked to have spoken to her at least a little about that strange…circus incident…since he vividly remembered her as being a part of it.

But…he was being good. As good as he could hope to be, and even now as he stood sweating in his furs on this very warm spring evening, he had his mind on Arias. Maybe tonight would be a good night to just surprise his fiancé with dinner or even just the pleasure of his company…

He wasn’t expecting anyone to come and talk to him.

He really wasn’t expecting a cute girl to come up to him and start talking out of the blue, and thus Whisler did what he normally did.

He flirted.

A smile grew on his face and he laughed, nodding. “I’ll admit that most people have questions for me, but I’m always happy to help a curious beautiful lady answer questions…so…how may I help you today, Miss…?”

Reaching out, Whisler took her hand without waiting for an answer and kissed the bright red glove with a grin. “You’re looking beautiful tonight, though I suppose you already knew that, didn’t you?”

Kallichore's eyebrows quickly retreated into her hairline.

"I.... what?"

He was a transcendent, like herself, but the last thing the senshi had expected was full-on flirtation. Really, her business was serious, her mission of utmost importance, and anything she'd prepared beforehand flew unceremoniously from her mind at that moment. Shaking her head, Kallichore tried to regain some composure, smoothing out her skirts once her hand was free.

Is this... how he greets everyone?

Awfully friendly... She was hardly the person to flirt with. If she were Scylla, perhaps. But not the senshi of madness.

Clearing her throat, the introduction was less steady than she would have liked. "My name is Kallichore, and I... am hoping to learn some things from our allies, like you. I wrote a Primer for White Moon Senshi who had just awakened, as a way to learn the basics of the war in the city. It's recently come to my attention that someone named Alya developed and application to transmit messages from senshi to Knights and vice-versa."

With a flick of her wrist, a pad of white paper and a well-loved pen appeared. "If it's not too much trouble, assume you're speaking to a Knight who just recently awoke. What would you tell them? What should they know?"

Well…that hadn’t gone as planned, and after a moment, Whisler’s smile seemed fixed on his face, whatever excitement he had been feeling earlier draining out of him like blood from a wound.

Though, when this Kallichore mentioned that name, it felt as though she had smacked him in the face.

“I…I’m sorry…who? Did Alya send you? Did he send you to find out information about me or something?”

Whisler didn’t seem to have heard anything else that the senshi had said, but he looked down at the pen and notepad with a look of mild disgust.

What kind of a trick was this? Was…she trying to get information about him? Did Alya know? Was he around here…

Virell…

Swallowing, Whisler crossed his arms over his chest. “I’m not…sure why you brought him up. To my knowledge you and I have never met…did he tell you about me?” He hadn’t thought of himself as a paranoid person…but the fact that he still had dreams of Virell’s hurt face at least twice a week…meant this was still a very sore subject. “Oh…ah…knights? I don’t know. I awakened as a squire so…I’m not really the best to ask anyway…”

"Did Alya send me?" she parroted, pushing the pen and paper back to its original subspace storage pocket and watched Whisler with confusion. "No, I do not know who Alya is. I was simply notified of the new communication app. I was hoping to learn some things from Knights, and it's come to my attention that my knowledge of them is woefully lacking. That is all."

If this man Whisler had an issue with Alya, Kallichore knew nothing of it. She hoped her simple, logical and calm explanation would be enough to assuage whatever fears he harbored.

His admission to not knowing as much, coupled with his clear discomfort, was enough for her to drop the subject and consider asking something a little easier. "...that's alright. You're transcended like I am, which is a good thing, I believe. Are you able to bestow energy on others? Simply knowing Knights are capable of transcendence is a boon to my knowledge in any case. Do you use your ring often? How does it work?"

No further mention of Alya, for it seemed to be a sore spot. Kallichore didn't consider herself to be someone with incredible social graces, but she could certain try.

Whisler let out a long, slow breath and shook his head. “I apologize. He and I are…it’s just been a little rough with him lately, but. If he didn’t send you, then I’m happy to help I…” He blew out another breath and forced what he hoped was a charming smile onto his face. She wasn’t here to trap him into doing anything stupid.

Besides he did enough stupid things on his own so he really didn’t need anyone to trap him but.

“My…my ring?” He seemed surprised, then laughed softly. “I can send letters with it. It’s kind of cool, honestly. I just write what I want, and provided I know the person’s name…I just…sign it and press the ring to it and…it goes off. I used it to glitterbomb someone once…he wasn’t very happy…but I had a good laugh.”

The thought of Ashanite brought a sadness to his smile again and he sighed. “I didn’t realize that…I mean. Alya is the senshi of Apathy. We used to date. Sort of. And we just…broke up. Sort of. Anyway…I’m not very good at questions, and I’m so sorry but…what else can I help with? I’m not…really gung ho about much. I was…you know. I just kind of deal with things as they happen…”

He was the most unromantic jerk in the whole world right now.

But he was engaged so he shouldn’t be flirting regardless but.

But still.

Now he really just missed Alya.
