The call coming from Dearest Lace wasn't unwelcome. In fact, Carnelian delighted in hearing from Lace and was immediately intrigued by the request. Was everything alright? Was Lace in trouble? Was there a mission to undertake? Surely someone like Tantalite would have told him about it previously if there was an important task that required his participation?

Unless... Lace was in trouble?!

The corrupted eternal made quick work of crossing the distance between himself and Lace's requested meeting spot. Carnelian was previously perched atop a nondescript clothing store, watching the city's nightlife bustling beneath his feet. His quota was taken care of already, but the redhead was restless. Tantalite was busy, the salon had closed for the day and he'd run out of stupid romantic comedies to watch on Netflix. Carnelian was terrible with boredom and paced himself silly sometimes.

Approaching the park, his senses picked up a signature that could have been Lace... but being so small and a dark color, she was difficult to spot sometimes. A little girl on the swingset was intriguing... where were her parents? Why was she dressed so oddly?

"Lace, darling? Are you alright?" he called, Mauvian knowledge woefully lacking.
