Echo smiled as she looked around her home world one last time before pressing the button to return back to Earth in a glimmering, bright, glittery burst. Arriving back to the empty roof top of her family's apartment building. She stretched with a grin as she looked up at the blanket of darkness above her, though a bit sad now that she couldn't see the stars as bright and amazing as from Echo itself. Her eyes quickly found the Waxing Moon in the sky, the crescent's sliver of brightness pulling at something in the back of her mind. "Soon." Echo said simply, pointing up at the shinning figure. Knowing, though she could see it in this moment, it was growing more and more. Only another ten days until the Moon was full and welcoming to all.

Bernard had been waddling around the neighborhood, having enough energy after he had eaten his after dinner dinner, and was going back to his own home. Although the monument event had been deeply concerning to him, considering he had actually had to fight, he still shuddered at the thought, it hadn't stopped him from still going out and enjoying the nice warm weather that the quick Spring to Summer transition usually brought.
And so, he was waddling, tail up, lightly humming to himself and hoping to be able to watch another episode of his favorite detective series, when he suddenly sensed the prescence of a senshi. Luckily for him, this one didn't need an awakening, and he debated as to whether or not he should actually go and talk to them. After all, even if he had watched the show quite a few times already, laying on a nice, comfortable bed was much more preferable to-
His fur-stache twinged, like it was telling him he had a duty to do and that he could not ignore it. He grimaced, not happy that he was once again having to actually do his duty and sighed, before turning in the direction that the aura was coming from.

Echo made her way down the stairwell, knowing no one else would be using it this late at night, not just ready to power down after such an amazing trip. She was about to though, when she got to her family apartment's floor when she swore she could feel an energy nearby. Surprised at how faint it was, she quickly made her way down the rest of the stairwell before busting out a side entrance to the building. Quickly warning her way around in search of the power. Maybe it would be a cat? She hadn't ran into many but the ones she had, had been so energetic and insightful. Suddenly buzzing, she hoped on her heels as she searched the nearby area. SSBrosB Sorry for the delay Bros! I had a total brain fart and then all the stuff happened with my SO and just. Fazzled. lol

It seemed so dark tonight, and the dark lighting was just screaming that it was time to go to bed. But it was not to be. He felt himself going to the other aura that he could now feel, and could tell that it was a basic senshi. Well then, seems like this one is in need of an upgrade. He mused as he continued to waddle over.
Currently he was across the street from the building, near a tree, and could now see the senshi. Well, being able to see in the dark helped, but at least now he was within a close range. He might even be able to stop walking and let the senshi come to him! It felt like she was doing that already anyway. The first thing that stood out was that the girl had quite a bit of hair!
He thought for a second about a corrupt senshi having that type of hair, and then it being even longer once they transformed. He shook his head. Too much. More chance for mats. He thought to himself. As much as he liked to be groomed, it would be a monstrous task to have to groom all of that hair!
He decided to wait on the other side of the street for the senshi. When she was within talking distance, he called out to her. "Young lady, I would like to have a moment of your time if possible!"

Echo was surprised when she didn't spot the cat right away but then she figured they would be harder to spot. Not like that had a crazy fuku to show off in and they where much, much smaller. It wasn't until his voice called out that she even looked in the right direction and she could've swore a sequel escaped her lips as her eyes light up at the sigh of him. Big and fluffy! But most importantly, that big ol' mustache! She went to blot across the street but caught herself, looking both ways before running across. "Ahh!" Echo knelled down in the grass next to the sidewalk, the biggest smile on her face. "Hello! I'm Sailor Echo! Senshi of Paper." She was beaming as she got a closer look at him, his star quietly reflecting back. Though she had to admit it looked more like polished clay or something, rather than something more pretty like her Lapis.

Well, it seemed that his address did the trick, as the young woman hurried over to him, smartly looking both ways before crossing the street, before she finally reached him and knelt down on the grass. He nodded to her. "Sailor Echo? That's a lovely name. And Chibi Senshi of Paper hmm? Yes, that's very good too but... I feel like there's something missing." He said, giving her a smirk and with a twinkle in his eye.
"I don't think you look like a Chibi Senshi of Paper. No, no. That won't do at all." He put a paw to his mouth as though he was contemplating something. If there was something that his soap-opera marathons had taught him, it's that there could always be a bit more drama in life. He wanted to build up the reaction a bit.
"Let's see... Ah! I have it. You, young lady, are NOT a Chibi Senshi of Paper. But you do seem to be a Basic Senshi of Paper!" He wiggled his fur-stache a bit and moved a bit closer to her. "Does that sound like something you would like? You are much more suited to be a Basic Senshi than just a Chibi Senshi. And I can upgrade your henshin pen! Though you will have to power down first for me to be able to make the appropriate changes." At least he remembered what he needed to do this time.

Echo couldn't help but smile as he talked, feeling a bit giddy and proud of herself, though she wasn't really sure why. It's not like she had down much since becoming a Senshi, right? She was torn away from her thoughts when he mentioned something was missing. But what? His suspenseful comment made her even more surprised as she looked at her fuku's paper cuffs. "But.." She moved to get closer to his eye level, wondering what kind of great wisdom the guardian cat would give her. She couldn't help but gasp when he said she was no longer a Chibi Senshi, playing right into his soap-opera loving paws. "R-Really? An upgrade..? But I..do I really deserve it?" Echo laughed a little, feeling her emotions start to swell up. "Oh! Uh. Should we..go somewhere else?" She asked, looking around. Even though it was the middle of the night, she figured they shouldn't risk it being out in the open much longer, defiantly if she had to power down like he said.

Bernard grinned at the young woman, causing his fur-stache to curl quite a bit. He was thrilled that he could give the young woman and upgrade. He nodded at her question though. "Yes, that would be best. I'm sure there's a spot in the trees nearby where I can upgrade your pen." He looked around for a bit to see where the best spot might be, and noticed some trees near them that would keep them from being seen. "I believe I have found a spot. We'll go there." He replied, getting up from his sitting position and waddling towards the spot.
"And of course you deserve it young lady! You are just brimming with the power of promise! I'm sure you have done quite a bit to earn the upgrade, I only wish I could have seen it! But, I have not. I can do something to help you by upgrading your pen, and then you will be able to do much more than when you were a chibi!" Bernard did not like the idea of children being made to fight. He had to give the Negaverse credit in that at least they didn't go after young children. Young humans shouldn't be exposed to such a war, but he supposed it was inevitable. Chibi Senshi were a different type of fighters, ones that were needed.
Soon enough he reached the spot and sat back down, taking in a few deep breaths from the exertion of walking a dozen or so feet. "All right, if you would just set your pen down, I'll be able to work on it!"

Echo stood slowly, taking the time to brush what she could of the dewy grass from her legs before following the cat. She almost felt bad watching him waddle along, even thinking about picking him up for a faster walk, but she knew that would be rude and something he might not like. Plus she didn't want to seem over eager. Despite his kind words, her doubt still lingered, even in this exciting event. "I really hope so." She said warily, thinking back on her year. Echo did have to admit she had learned a lot the past few months. Even if she didn't have much training battle wise, this let her know she would have to be more careful. Now that she wouldn't be a Chibi, she would have more of a chance of people wanting to take her out, like the General that had spared her life before. Echo took a deep breath as they reached the trees, smiling at her new friend, she couldn't help but reach down and give him a little pet now. Straightening up, she powered down. Changing from her transparent fuku that felt light as a feather to a bright and over-sized hoodie and tight biker shorts. Her boots with hard chunky Lapis heels for hefty converse type shoes. Lastly her headband style tiara realizing it's hold on her hair, only to make it even longer than before. Connie smiled, gripping the pen in her hand, she kneeled down again and gently placed the pen between them. She blushed a bit wondering if she should introduce herself again. Such a weird concept, but she also figured it's not like he would tell anyone after all. "Connie Salvatore, nice to meet you." She said with a laugh. Bernard smiled at the now ordinary young lady. "It's nice to meet you Connie. I'm glad that I can be of service to you." He said, before looking at the pen and grabbing it in his mouth. Luckily he seemed to have a slightly bigger mouth than usual so he was able to grip it quite easily, which would make this upgrade less embarrassing that the ones before.
Quickly he tossed the pen into the air, and did a quick twirl on the ground before it landed! It suddenly started to glow, and when it fell, he caught it and one could see that it was different than before! Much easier than trying to do a somersault or some other such acrobatic maneuver for the overweight kitty.
He then placed the Henshin pen back in front of Connie. "All right young lady. Your pen should be upgraded now. When you take your pen, I would like you to say 'Echo Planet Power, Make-Up!' Instead of what you were saying before. That should allow you to tap into your upgraded form!" Bernard said, his fur-stache curling. He may have been lazy at his job, but when he had to do it he wanted to make sure that he was doing it correctly!anime_girl10 sorry for taking so long to reply! And I am also sorry if I got that transformation phrase wrong, my brain has been everywhere but my head lately.

Connie was more than pleased to be able to watch more cats do magic, no matter how funny or impossible her brain still said it was. Even these months later, when she thought about it too much she worried she would suddenly wake up to find that had turned into a Senshi. Or, even worse, had never moved at all. She wrapped her hand over a closed fist nervously, bringing them up under her chin as she waited patiently with curious eyes.
Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she watched the pen be tossed up and the cat before her did a little twirl, doing her best to not laugh or even giggle at him. Now knowing that, that fluff was a bit more than just fluff. Connie watched as the pen started to glow, shielding her eyes for extra safety.
What she couldn't stop herself from doing though, was letting out a small gasp when he caught the pen and it suddenly looked different. It was like her heart was suddenly trying to escape her chest as she watched him place it back in front of her, trying to listen to his words fully. She couldn't believe it, she would no longer be a Chibi after this. Or well, she supposed she already no longer was.
Connie took the pen gently, as if just holding it would make it break into a billion tiny pieces, looking it over more closely now that she had the chance. She smiled and gripping it a bit tighter, before that turned into a grin, feeling as if the pen was calling her. Connie stood again and took a deep breathe, glancing down at the cat before shooting her hand into the air with vigor.
"Echo Planet Power, Make-Up!"
While it felt like an eternity to her in that moment, she was sure isn't more than a single moment for him. But from the bright glow emerged Sailor Echo. She knew she wouldn't be able to see much if at all right now, but she was egar to look herself over.
There was only a slight difference to her fuku, but she noticed them happily. Small bits of silver now added; little lines on ends of the cuffs around her wrist, a silver stripe around her skirt- was that maybe a little longer too? Or did she just feel a little taller? and finally little clasps on her boots that matched the one at her neck.
Echo might have maybe squealed a bit as she happily twirled around her a bit. In that moment she at least felt like she could enjoy herself and be happy for the upgrade, forgetting the thought of that being able to accept she deserved such a thing.
"Ahh!" The sound was a happy one as Echo came to kneel for the cat once, not thinking about it as she gave him a good ol' chin scratch. "Thank you so much-!" Oh! Echo realized, "I don't think I ever caught your name! I'd love to know, if that's ok." SSBrosB Ah, no worries! I'm sure if I stopped poofing all the damn time, I'd have a lot more luck with rps. ;0; No fun rping with someone who's not here, that for sure. ;w; lol
