Valerie is a fairly serious woman. She likes to keep to herself. She's not very sociable, but she's as respectful as she needs to be.
Unless she's in a mood, she'll respond indiscriminately to the behavior of others. She holds a grudge and believes second chances are earned, not given.
Val has a sense of humor but... it's a little dark and obscure. Which is fine with her. Her jokes are almost always to amuse herself rather than other people.

Bio:
Valerie was named for her father, Valarico Ezhno. Val's parents divorced when she was 4. Valerie lived with her father growing up and rarely ever saw her mother. She'd spent a weekend with her once, when she was 10. After two and a half days of cooking, cleaning and shopping by herself while her mother spent nights out and most of the daylight hours passed out in her bedroom, Val returned to her father and asked never to be sent there again.
Valarico's parenting style was fairly loose. He didn't regiment her time during her adolescence. But he encouraged her in what to spend time on. Growing up, and even now, Valerie mistook this hands-off approach for detachment.
As a kid, Valerie went outside every day. She made friends but couldn't keep them. She was picked on every so often, having one parent and a little less cash in her pockets (the experience introduced her to fighting rather early). And it didn't help that she simply wasn't interested in playing with the kids that were nice enough.
By the time high school came around, she didn't bother with friends. She got a job under a mechanic and did enough academic work to pass her classes. She just wanted to walk across the stage.
And once she did, she was free. Val didn't give much thought to college. She just packed her bags and started traveling with the money she'd been saving through grade school. Val's been hitting up every bum town she can drive to, looking for a place to settle down and forget everything. Glenvale wasn't initially on her map. It is now.

✩ Physical Strength - What's there to say? Could cut a steak on this chic's stomach.

☢ Impulsive - Val trusts her intuition above all else. Which isn't awful, but it lends itself to a short temper, as Val's impulses are often based on her desires. She'd be quicker to act on fear or anger rather than logic.
☢ Stoic - Val recognizes her impulsiveness to some extent and tries to control her emotions. As a result, she ends up shutting down more or less.
☢ Selfish - Val isn't used to living or working with others long-term. Her relationships are easygoing at best and bitter rivalry at worst. And when it comes to problem solving, she's unlikely to take the feelings of others into account.
