It was so quiet here.

Momo hadn't been here in a while. She loved the mortal realm; it was where her domain flourished like nothing else. But it was also exhausting. Love was a blessing and a curse; sometimes, the broken aspect of it hurt her heart more than she could explain. Coming to the gods' haven was a chance to rest and recover....as long as she was able to avoid some of the more...unfriendly gods.

And every time she came, she hoped to catch sight of her children. Some of which she hadn't seen in years, and only hoped that one day she would see them again.

Her wings were tucked tightly against her sides as she made her way around, looking for a quiet place to rest. After having a rather terrifying run-in with Conflict many, many years ago, she had learned to be careful with whom she spoke with...but she was always feeling herself tugged towards others. She was social, to a point, and always desired friends.

Her olive eyes blinked, glazing over the various forms of other gods lingering around. Strange; it wasn't empty here, but the air felt so quiet. Would it ever change, up here in the land of immortals?

The goddess of wisdom was lounging on a small outcropping of rock, chin propped on her paws. Feeling a vague sense of...dissatisfaction? Or was it the beginnings of boredom? Siasa looked around, spotting a few familiar faces - she had yet to venture out of the god's haven, instead having spent her time learning from others about the mortal realm, hearing countless stories of the beings who inhabited it for their short lives.

Comfortable though it was, she knew that she needed to make her way to the mortal realm - it called to her, deep inside - were there beings who she could help consider their decisions more wisely...or things she needed to learn herself? If nothing else, there was a great deal more to see, if the stories she'd been told were true.

Seeing a goddess who she had not seen around here before, the adolescent looked her over - she didn't seem overly...excitable, but the younger goddess was not one to act rashly, either.

Extending her own wings briefly to align the feathers before laying them easily against her sides, Siasa got to her feet, inclining her head with a small smile, waiting to approach until she saw how the other lioness reacted.

Momo was watching another god...one that seemed vaguely familiar to her until movement distracted her. She glanced over...only to catch the teal eyes of another goddess. Was she really looking straight at her? Momo twitched her wings closer to her, letting herself exhale a slow breath to steady her heart before nodding in acknowledgement.

She carefully approached the stranger goddess, deciding to be brave enough to approach her first. She seemed nice enough, though one could never judge by looks alone.

"H-hello," Momo called out. "I am Love, sometimes called Momo. Is there...something I could help you with?" she asked tentatively, intrigued while mentally attempting to squash her nerves.

Siasa's smile broadened - not that she enjoyed the other goddess' discomfort, but at least she seemed to fall on the friendly end of the spectrum.

"Hello," she replied, eyes widening slightly as Momo introduced herself and her domain. "I am Siasa...or Wisdom, as the case may be," this was said with a slightly self-depreciating expression - after all, a great deal of wisdom was earned by experience, and she had yet to venture out of the comfort and familiarity of the god's haven.

"And no, there is nothing I need help with," she continued, mindful of Momo's body language - she didn't want to make the other goddess uncomfortable, after all!

"Have you come from the mortal realm?" She asked after a moment's pause, curiosity getting the better of her. Almost immediately, she followed it up with a courteous "Or am I keeping you from something else? If so, I apologize for the interruption."

Momo let her wings relax along her sides, fluffing them a bit before resting them more naturally than they had been. Well, Wisdom was something very neutral, and she seemed nice enough. Doubt crept into her mind....perhaps the gods weren't as volatile has they had been many years ago.

"I am sorry...I've had some frightening interactions with other gods before, and I unfortunately don't recognize you..." she answered honestly, if quietly.

"I did," Momo answered, wondering if that meant that this goddess didn't leave the haven much. "I do enjoy spending time there, though it can be a bit....exhausting if you're not careful."

"There's no need to apologize - after all, if we don't learn from our experiences, good and bad, then we make the same mistakes, over and over again." This was accompanied by a small smile.

At that little tidbit, her expression perked up. "Have you spent a lot of time there, then?" She asked, her head tilting slightly to the side. "I haven't yet ventured out of this haven, but am planning to go explore the mortal realm...soon." She really wasn't positive as to why she'd put it off so long, except that there had been enough here, in the god's haven, to entertain her as a cub and juvenile. Now that she was growing closer to adulthood, however, she was finding she was...almost impatient to broaden her horizons.

Momo winced, but quickly offered a smile to Wisdom to hide most of her pain. "Well, let's just say that Conflict and I had an interesting run-in a very long time ago...and if you ever run into Chaos, remember that he can be rather two-faced." She had to remember that most gods were complex, and she herself could probably start wars, inadvertently.

"I do. Love flourishes down there," Momo sighed wistfully. "I know it happens here are there with the gods in this realm, but I will confess it is rare. We are complex beings that die, and yet don't die..." She had seen a few rebirths in her own time, but didn't recall much of her previous life. She had woken up within the god realm at some point, and from then on threw much of herself into her work, nurturing what love she could find.

"The mortal realm is amazing, as long as you're careful to keep yourself safe."

Siasa nodded, taking the advice to heart. She supposed that most gods, or at least their domains, could have positive and negative results, but there were certainly some that tended to the less pleasant end of the spectrum.

"I suppose it makes sense that things happen so quickly there," Siasa said slowly. "since they have such brief lives to live, I would assume that that would make one more apt to diving into things wholeheartedly, since you have so little time to try to figure it all out."

Siasa, herself, did not remember much in the way of specifics from her past lives, although she sometimes wondered if she didn't continue to benefit from the experiences of those lives, as she felt more certain than she otherwise should sometimes, when dealing with things that should have been alien or unfamiliar.

"That sounds like excellent advice," Siasa continued, smiling more broadly. "and I will definitely keep that firmly in mind when I make my way there." Perhaps after she and this goddess parted ways, she would stop hesitating and go - she was no longer a cub, after all.

"Do you often run across others like us there, or is it rather rare or unusual to do so?" Siasa asked, continuing to pick the other goddess' brain. "And if so, are they typically more benign, or more inclined to be on the...confrontational side?"

Wisdom....spoke wisdom. It was something that Momo herself knew, but she tried to not dwell on it too much. She would never, ever call them a mistake, but she did have a few mortal offspring that wouldn't live nearly long enough for her. To acknowledge that twisted her heart, so she always did her best to pretend like everything was alright and move on.

"You will," she replied. "I've found about a dozen of us there, and sometimes I will see them here in the haven, as well. Its impulsive, I think to bounce back and forth so often. Time passes so slowly here compared to there, its...hard to adjust if you were helping someone specific, or a pride."

Could she talk more? Momo wasn't usually so talkative to someone new, but...Siasa seemed kind and willing to learn. "Most mortals will be in awe of you, if you show them who you really are. Some....will not. I've even heard of a group that hunts us." She shuddered, just thinking about it. Momo had never bothered to press for more information on that group, as the details would be too much for her.

Siasa nodded. It was something to consider, that difference in time, and how it passed between the two realms.

Her eyes widened slightly, as Momo spoke of those who...hunted gods? She had anticipated potential awe, perhaps even some resentment, but nothing to that degree. "Do you know...why they would do so?" She asked after a long, pensive moment. She ccould, perhaps, consider an aggressive reaction to an immortal who was wreaking particular havoc with a pride or individual, but had some difficulty in imagining what would prompt a mortal to hunt down gods as a general practice.

"Regardless, though, I think I will go disguised as a mortal, in that case...at least until I get my bearings there." she murmured, grateful for the information.

"They see us as false gods, as heretics. The ways of mortals are vastly different than ours, and in some ways that fear and zeal for life will drive them to do things that we cannot understand." Perhaps though, with time, Wisdom could learn more about mortals than what Momo could ever learn. Love was something without rules, and so she had to let herself be pulled along the tide as she did her work, rather than tighten it with regulations and consistency.

"I believe that is the best course of action," Momo nodded. "And at the least, if you sense danger you should be able to escape with little to no harm."

Wisdom was kind, and beautiful...and Momo would only help that she keep her wits close to keep herself safe until she had better understanding of the realm below.

Siasa looked...affronted, but also puzzled. How...illogical, since immortals clearly did have dominion over their particular realm. She could understand mortals putting certain gods above others, but how did one deny the truth of the existence of beings who could be seen, spoken to, or even touched?

Although...their lives were so short, a mere blink of time, and what came after had so many unknowns that perhaps she could understand denying the presence of beings who could control aspects of their lives with terrifying, sometimes unintentional ease.

"At the very least, it can't hurt," she spoke thoughtfully. "I'd rather be discreet, and have it prove unnecessary, than go bumbling and have things go sideways," this was said with a wry, slightly self-mocking smile. Risk averse was a good description of the young goddess. No reckless youthful antics for her!

"Thank you so much for sharing all of this with me - it's been rather hard, trying to learn what to expect before actually leaving the haven."

She let her wings relax a bit more to her sides, feeling like she had done her best to assist with the younger goddess. She had remember waking up here, young but not a cub, and not knowing much of the world around her. Through trial-and-error did she get to live as long as she had at this point in time.

"You are so kind to offer thanks," Momo smiled. "I always believe in sharing what you know. You never know when a little advice can help in a stressful moment."

"I should probably return there soon; I have created some ties down there that I try to not neglect for too long. Time always seems to pass much slower up here. I hope to see you again soon, Wisdom."

Siasa nodded. The other goddess couldn't know it, but if anything, the goddess of wisdom was one to err on the side of caution, sometimes to...excess, as demonstrated by her having lingered in the God's Haven for so long.

"I should probably venture down there as well; I think it's time." This was accompanied by a small nod of her head.

"And I hope our paths cross again soon as well - a friendly face is always appreciated." The words may have sounded a little formal, but the emotion was genuine. "Safe travels."
