He was a sucker for a good fight. He loved the thrill, the rush- the risk of death it brought. Just when when he saw the pink and while man with an eye patch he scowled. Not because Gev was annoying, horrid and all around someone he hated with a burning undying passion. But rather, because now Castor couldn't fight him. The last time they had fought, it had been a back stabbing they had both anticipated, a mutual understanding that while they killed scum and those unworthy to live and worsen the world, they also had understood nothing would cease or trump the fact that hate was too mild a world for what they felt for each other and at the first chance, they'd kill the other. Castor liked fighting Gev. He was someone unwilling to hold back, willing to go all out and fight like they'd been born for it, chosen for it, Gev understood how far you had to go to commit to a cause. Castor liked the risk that came with fighting Gev- but now? Now he had kids. Newborn kids and a wife and so risking his life over the thrills and relished combat of hate and death wasn't really an option anymore. Which soured Castor's mood considerably as he really would have liked to have decked the knight. So he'd just suit himself being a taunting a*****e. That was acceptable right? "Hey Ribbons. Find anything fun for us to kill tonight? I miss our dates."

"Popsicle. I told you to stop calling this a date. It's weird." He said, resting against a alleyway wall and watching as Castor came out from down the corner. He had gotten used to knowing when the energy signature that bothered coming to the worse parts of town, the parts where people had guns and the cops didn't patrol, would be none other than him. The emphatic criminal who liked coddling whores and felt himself Prince, not just in magical rank, but in some bullshit way that meant protecting people from garbage trash that made civilian life in the city worse even without senshi and the DMC.
Their meetings had become fewer and fewer, both preoccupied but neither one really getting into it. They didn't really "talk" because that crossed a boundary line - even if once in a while they let things slip while insulting each other while doing body cleanup. It was a shame Castor hadn't been a Negaverse agent form the start. He was just as good as the early day agents at hiding a body.
"Been trailing some meth heads. They three doors down from here getting drunk. One has a gun. The other three don't. We can go after the one and take out he rest pretty easily." He said, not entirely enthused that this was the best he could tail for the night. "Not much else beside that." He commented, annoyed that this would be the most excitement they could find for the night.

Castor, despite his loathing, did enjoy a bit of their barbed banter on occasion. It was fun to sling insults to someone you genuinely didn't care if you offended because frankly you both knew you'd get bit right back. "Aw, but it is a date you know. A Wednesday." His cheeky reply might get him a snarl. Maybe if he was lucky. "Besides, it's not like our spouses would think we're having an affair. Well, mine wouldn't anyway." She knew him too well now- plus he was too far invested into Yvaine for his own good. Maybe it was the fact he loved her, or the fact they had kids now but- he kind of loved and hated the fact he did love her the way he did. Stupidly perfect woman, making an honest man out of him. His off train of thought ended with the comment about meth heads. "Any chance they're the type for rehabilitation or just flat line junked out?" He asked, genuine curiosity lacing his voice. In another life, they'd have made a good team. Had perhaps, he corrupted, thing might have been very different. Alas, Castor was too much a thorn back in Charonite's side to have allowed him to live, even if he'd been corrupted. "Only leads I have myself are of a dog fighting ring- which... admittedly, I feel less guilt over the possibility of exterminating than drug heads." Dogs didn't have a choice, people did. Castor tended to choose things in convoluted ways, as was the norm.

"I'd never be accused of cheating, and they don't know about you. They wouldn't like me hanging with trash I want to rip apart. Not good for my temper." He was't about to tell Wyatt he was killing civilians on the side with Castor, a man Wyatt had once had to pull off of Castor when he was trying to tear off icey chunks out of during one meeting and who knew how much he hated the man. It wouldn't make sense to Wyatt, and worse off, he would tell him to let go of his anger and lust for revenge. It was something he always told him ever since they purified. To enjoy their new life. To let things go. To move on.
His one thumb played with the black crystal ring on his finger but his attention was focused and serious when Castor pointed out his other option. A much better option. "They could wind up just ODing themselves out in there. We should do the dog ring." He tried to hide his focus on wanting to REALLY go after the dog ring. Dogs were wonderful. Anyone who did anything to them deserved to be turned into meat paste and fed to them.
He also wanted to save the dogs after......even if Wyatt wouldn't let him have another dog. :c
"What took you so long tonight? You are usually on time."

"Good, no one gets a bad reputation. Or well, a worse reputation really. Neither of us are really known to be good after all." Good was getting more and more subjective these days, and it tended to be blurred the longer you were a powered being. "Pretty much my thoughts. Addicts are complex things when it comes to handling. Dog fights? Making animals become victims to brutality? Now that's easy, because even scum is better than that." Animals, simple beings depended on humans for survival, to betray them made the decision to kill their tormentors all that much easier. Cracking his knuckles and nodding his head in the direction of the dog pits, Castor didn't even think as he replied to Gev's question, answering out of habit. "I had to put the kids to bed." The second he finished that sentence he blanched. It was a close over into personal, too personal at that.

"I wouldn't call them complex as more og unpredictable. Dogs atleast will fight to survive and know self preservation. Addicts will grab gasoline and light themselves on fire if they will they can fight you that way." He added, following beside Castor as he headed out. He was really hoping it wasn't the same area he found a month back that had about 5 German Shepards, 1 Rottweilers, and 8 Pitbulls. He didn't count the number of dead animals used as bait.
The easy slip of a statement almist passed by for Gevaudan, as it was such a normal and natural statement - but not in uniform. Not for them. It was a danger to talk about your civilian life and the one thing you never revealed to someone you didn't trust not to try to find your identity to hurt those you loved or use that knowledge to toy with you.
Gev and Castor weren't friends. Their attemped back and forth to harm each other said as much even if less frequent due to being busy or just exhausted from murdering people at night.
This was a mistake and he looked at Castor as surprsied as the prince looked. He almost wantef to smile at Castor ******** up but instead felt his gut twist. The simple statement crossed into the personal and he wanted to pull everything back a few minutes from now and trip Castor before he ever said it.
And now he knew Castor had kids. Young ones if they were still being tucked in. And not sleeping alone in a house. Castor was protective and aware of the dangers in this world. He had a partner of some sort at home probably.
He thought of Wyatt.
"I -" What did he evem say to that? He didn't even want to think of Castor as a person outside of his uniform.
"- can't believe annyone would put up with you long enough for that." And by that he meant kids.
He wondered then, if Castor was a prince. "So...you have a Princess at home." Why was he asking?!!

Gasoline and on fire if- Castor didn't want to know, because boy, that certainly sounded like a story. And being set on fire was not pleasant. At all. He wanted to focus on the dog pit, on fighting and killing those who did wrong in the most base of form, not- this. This being his relieve that he was a father, he had kids, he had a wife and a home and- Internally, he cursed himself. He allowed his defenses to slip for a moment. And Gev asked on it. Meaning the can of worms was open, and there was no way to seal it back up and pretend it never happened. Staring blankly as he could in the direction they moved, he wondered how to answer. The quip tugged at his mouth, it being such an easy barb but also such a painful reminder. Things were fleeting and he really ought to have shielded them better. The less that knew he had children, the safer they'd be. "...I'm lucky." There. That was enough of an answer right? No, it wasn't. Castor grit his teeth. He'd already said it, it was known, it would do little good to be evasive at this point. "Lucky for us, no, just a wife. If my world was what it had once been, she'd be considered my Consort. However, due to the fact she is also senshi-" He chuckled. "-I'd have been encouraged to be ah, unfaithful. My people had little faith in the loyalty of those who had worlds of their own." He sighed. "In some ways, I am rather glad I don't have to answer to a King anymore. Makes things a whole lot easier when it comes down to it." The echo of dogs in the distance, Castor wondered. "What about you?" He asked. "Any kids? All I know if you have your lover."

Past lives. It was a given for senshi but he met Knights who also talked about it. But he wasn't the sort. There were no past selves haunting him or calling out with some history of who he was and he was grateful for it. He often dispised he was not a knight of Earth and wondered if his forgotten civilian self cared too much for a friend that it influenced his selection as a Ganymeade knight.
Sometimes he windered if it was random. That he had been such a blank slate after purification that they tossed him to protect a new princess out of lack of knights for her.
"Does it not bother you that you weren't destined to have been associated to Earth or do all senshi feel too strong of a pull to these past lives and other worlds?"
It was open musing but he was curious as always. Not so far to sympathize with senshi but just - maybe in a way to ask if Castor, just as bloodthirty as he was, hated himself and colors he couldn't pick himself.
The return question had him stiffen. "I don't like that you even know that much." That he knew of Wyatt. Of Bismuthite. Of Hawa. "How did you even find that out?"
He consoderrd the question seriously.
"No. I know I might die any day. I accept that. A child couldn't. It would also pull me away from the war." Which Hawa would probably like. The man rarely patrolled now. He liked the new freedom of purification. "Our lives are too unpredictable."
He'd be a horrible father. He was already a horrible husband. He was doing this after all behind Hawa's back.
The noise of dogs perked him up. "I have a dog. That's enough."
He moved alongside the building and looked about for any windows for access.

Castor often had wondered about the question Gev posed. "It's... not so simple to me. I was- That is, royals feel more than most-" He sucked in a breath, memories brushing the edge of his mind like cobwebs. "My suffering is of my own make Gev. Had I never woken as a royal, many of my memories would lay buried far in my mind, too deep to be seen. Yet I did rise to my mantle; I spent years upon my world, isolated, seeking answers. I chose to immerse myself in search of answers, and what I found was not always pleasant or kind. To be a royal is to be granted a connection few others know, but to also bear the weight of our actions and understand that we are more powerless and chained than we'd ever like to admit." He shrugged. "We are prisoners to our worlds- it is a truth that we must accept. I can't let it bother me, because the moment I allow it to weaken me, I will allow myself to fall down a path I refuse to walk." It was more than he should say but, if any might understand the weight of duty and the chains of power, Gev seemed likely. "Each senshi is different in how they feel-Each chain is made differently, but in the end, we're all chained to our worlds in one manner or another." He smirked however at the second question. "Than man- he would not have feared so greatly in our last fight if he did not love you. I may be a d**k but even I can recognize the fear love creates." He laughed lightly. Looking to a doorway around the corner, where two men stood, smoking and eyeballing the street while the din of dog barks echoed from the building behind them, Castor's words died. "You prefer to find us an entry or take out the guardsmen?"

"But isn't that power your own? It's power only you can tap into. It does not command you to work for it's bidding. Or are you just as much a puppet to the orders of some other-worldly thing like the General Kings are to Metallia and Chaos?" He said, gritting his teeth and feeling his muscles tightening at that idea. "Is every side just being orchestrated by some entity without any command of their own power source? Where is there any freedom to win the war then?" What was the difference then in being a Knight, of leaving the Negaverse, if he just faced the same issues. The same problems. He was just being use by a Wonder. By the Code.
"What was the point."
He looked to Castor. Knights served a Royal. That Royal - what did they serve? Where did the chain go? Where did it feed from?
Was he just someone's puppet again?
Did it matter so much - when all he wanted to do was kill?
He snapped his attention back to reality and what they were doing. "Sometimes I wonder if he would have been better off forgetting I was alive." Then he wouldn't fear every time he left the house. That he would be hurt, captured, or killed. He wouldn't hate him for working this way, being this way, thinking this way instead of forgiving and trying to have a normal life. "Don't go near him or I'll rip your legs off." He warned. He didn't want Castor interacting with Wyatt. His husband didn't know what he was doing, and Castor could find out too much about him.
He move ahead.
"Let's take out the guardsmen. We don't need them calling in any dogs to attack us. I don't want to kill any animals if I have to."

The senshi didn't answer him, not immediately, and when Gev made the choice of what to tackle first, the prince nodded. "I can honestly say even you deserve a bit of happiness. If he gives that to you, I won't interfere." He knew the lengths which one would go for the person they loved. If Gev was a threat to Yvaine or the twins, he'd never have even gone near the knight. But despite their animosity, the royal doubted the man would kill a woman and child for their relation to him. Perhaps, had his loyalty still been to Metallia, he'd feel less confident, but, blind rage was focused from the knight. They were rather alike in such an aspect. There was something... tragic about having to kill humans to spare animals suffering. Yet as he came out from the dark, grabbing one of the men by his neck and slamming him into the brick wall with a resounding crack, he grimaced at the irony of it. Killing humans to spare beasts- from a chaos of that mankind itself had created. As Gev took care of the other man, Castor finally addressed the original query. "We are both our world and individuals. Our crystals are not just our starseeds, they are the starseeds of our worlds- thus, if one of us were to die or be corrupted, our world would follow. Some things, such as my world demanding the death of my first born, is not a matter of two entities giving and taking from one another, but a single being needing unification to facilitate growth and the bond between place and avatar. We may chose what is given to our world to sustain it, but we must also know that it is us, our responsibility for all life it holds and all the potential it carries. I... don't know how else to explain it when it's unique, even among senshi." He sighed. "You are a knight, and while you draw from your wonder, bound to a royal, you are not the wonder itself. Senshi are their worlds. We have no choice in what we are born to serve. Knights- you have what we don't. A choice. You carry mantles of your wonder, an obligation of duty that you may chose to devest yourself from or become. We- we are born into service, and nothing will separate us from that fate." Blue eyes stared at green. "In that way, I envy you." MoonKitsune I didn't expect a heavy rp but here we are

"I don't expect that as a promise. If I ******** with you, you are free to go after me and know I will kill and destroy if you harm him. You know as much. And I deserve only what I reap. We're killers. Let's not pretend we are blessed or deserving of anything. I just know who to rip apart to preserve the things I want." It was a grim set of beliefs but he wasn't so blind to know he was taking happiness from someone by killing people. He had killed sensei and he knew they probably had friends and lovers. Children.
He leaped out and kicked a man before jumping on him and slamming his head over and over into the ground. He had no sympathy for animal abusers. He liked animals. He liked dogs the most. They listened and fought on instinct and a need to live. They didn't question a kill.
"I suppose I don't understand it. I probably never will. I only wish for a power I can will and command and will not chain me to do it's service against what I know is right and just. Power is the one thing that can change the tides of battles and wars. It is something I want and yet it is not something I can take unless I swear some subserviance to a Wonder that is so easily corrupted or manipulated by The Code."
"And I will not pledge to a Princess or Prince. I came from where power and rank were earned. You were born into your power and a lot of you have no drive or ambition. Just to coast in the world. Not to win the war. I want to win it "
He stepped off the man and looked for keys. None. Probably only latches on the cages then. Easy.
"If I could steal a planet's power from a sensei I would. If I could syphon the power from a youma, I would. That is something we should look at. A stronger arsenal. A super weapon. No one is training any troops so its the next best thing."
He breathed out and cracked his back. "I miss starseeds." He grumbled, liking the burst of energy they gave.
Looking, he rushed to the side and moved around a corner before he turned aroubd it. Some muffling and he dragged a man around the cirner. "I don't see anyone else but there could be more. Let's open the cages to pull them here."

There was something nice in seeing another so brutally dispatch someone. Castor took no joy or pleasure in killing but to know another could do the job? Well, it was a greater comfort than he'd like to admit. Few had the gumption to carry out necessary evils as it were. "True I suppose." He pushed the dead man over, looking through his pockets breifly. Wallet taken, it would aid in a decent cover up. "Take his wallet if he has one. The more we make the scene look like an actual gang depute the better." He had no need for cash, but- "I'll give the money to the red light girls if you want. They need it more than me." An irony. To kill and rob a corpse, just to give it to prostitutes and ask for nothing in exchange by silence and kindness. The women of the red light district had always been kind to him for his kindness, and he'd not truly stop visiting them. Though now, he did so without any licentious motives. "You're not wrong. Many of the younger senshi are fools at best. They don't know how it used to be- the threats in the dark, the mass graves- oh yes, I found out about those- the senshi now are weak and complacent. Some even think the failure of our invasion of the rift was a victory. We didn't even make it to Metallia's chambers. We were disorganized and foolish, and it cost many their lives and for what? A handful of starseeds? They lack understanding of the gravity of this war." His bitterness leached into his words. Cosmos had told him to take joy in the small victory but the anger he felt, the shame- they hadn't even made it to Metallia's chambers. When the man was dragged back castor eyeballed Gev. "You could very well Kill Ganymede and take her power. It would not be the first time a Knight has done so." He changed quickly, dark wings fanning out as he jumped, silently gliding as he took stock. One man not far off, Castor didn't grant him the mercy of a warning or a fair fight- he dropped, the crack of his spine and a shout leaving him. Dogs began to notice, barking starting to echo. "We should be fine. This was the only other present."

"Can I? Can any knight target a royal and take their power? What do they do? Eat the starseed or is it like a magical blessing?" He was curious now and his attention was focused bybthe interrsting news.
He breathed out his teeth. "Though Ganyemeade is a bit messy to kill. She knew me before. Can't remember her from the purification but she knew me. They would retaliate if they knew and could jump me as a civilian. Could jump who I'm with." But if he could do it outside of anyone knowing....or maybe another royal?
"If she wasn't guarded then maybe then." He grumbled in thought but he'd have to know how to get her power or the attack would be pointless.
He took the money from the wallet. "The dogs will need the cash. I'll use it for them." He said. He couldn't take them all to the shelter he was at since that would be a giveaway of where he worked.
"It was stupid to invade. Metallia is still guarded and the Hall of Traitors would be hard to pass. The door wouldn't open and then Metallia itself. That power. I can't begin to think of gow to target it. It's not....like other powers I encountered. Not the Code. Not like a Queen. Not Alien. Not like you." It was - all and in that all power it felt as if it had nothing. It was nothingness yet the abyss of its power held a crushing weight.
His expression was that of recollecting a horror he coukdnt even begin to understand snd he looked up and pulled away from the cold it left inside his chest.
He got up and moved to the cages. "Kill any dogs that are too far gone. It will be a mercy." He said, not liking it but also not wanting any dogs so far abused and trained to kill getting loose and taking down an innocent person befofe they were shot.
He took out a aggitated german Shepard who slowly moved out of it's cage.
He moved to knock over a bag of dog food so they could eat. Most of them were probably starved at the moment.

As they freed the dogs, (gingerly- Castor had no desire to be maimed), the senshi returned to his eternal form. There was no reason to remain so powered when all he'd needed was a temporary advantage. "Kunzite might have had the answers but.. she's gone. Earth's senshi was replaced by their knight Endymion in a fashion so I suspect it's very possible. What records we have are.. sparse. And bias. My own knight -my own father actually- Lacedeamon, has attempted to do so twice but was thwarted by loyalists. Yes, I do think it's certainly possible to kill your princess and take her power for your own. As to how though... I can't help you. I hate Ganymede, for a variety of reasons, but her death would be... an annoyance. Well, not to much if you became a royal knight but, I could care less for her and her brood." He gave an apathetic shrug, checking a rather scarred put mix. Some of the wounds were rather fresh- and deep. "I asked Cosmos what might happen should we kill her, Metallia." He frowned. The mix was too wounded, it hardly even lifted it's head to look at him. "It's likely she'd kill the agents so supplement her own power. We would be killing every agent, every corrupt senshi- possibly for eternity." He kept the door locked, moving on. The dog could die in peace, as much as could be given. "Yet I would still do it. So long as Metallia's hold remains on earth, we will lose. She can corrupt as many as she likes, while we must awaken, be born. You cannot hope to win if your enemy will always supplement their forces. What good are a thousand lives if millions will be lost?"
