Being around since the days of Astraea and Charonite tended to leave it's mark on some of the older senshi. They carried with them the memories of simpler times, if by far, a bit more graphic in grim with events that had unfolded. It left a mark on them that was hard to put into words verbally, but resonated in the same war the eyes of one solider to another might. They had experienced something alike, even if not on the same side, even if not in the same place or part of the same war. It was a weariness, a fatigue that echoed in their bones with that resonated like a brass bell, ringing out into an otherwise dead night.
Castor didn't know Metis, but he knew of her, tangently. She was of the old guard, the first wave of awakened senshi who'd seen the rise of a queen and a dark kingdom. One of the ones who saw everything rise like a white hot star of hope only to burn out. "Hey." He hadn't expected to meet her at any one point in time. He expected that like other veterans, they would tangently know of each other, but never interact much.
"Metis right?" He had checked on his phone, not wanting to be wrong. He'd gone eternal tonight, forgoing his royal form more and more often. "Don't think we ever had a formal introduction. Castor, Prince of Hail."

There were so many senshi who had come before her. Those wiser, those more versed in how this wave of the war had flared to life. Senshi and Negaverse agents and guardians trying to shepherd them. Caedus had been far from the first lifeform to come from space in Destiny City. How many others that she conversed with frequently now knew this? Witnessed it? If she spoke the name Tanzanite or Charonite, or Astraea, how many would bat lashes or cringe or flinch in memories?
They were out there, of course, those who would remember and have more memories than Metis herself carried. It had been... a while since she conversed with any of the older senshi, though. Not older in simply age--oh there were a surprising number who were beyond her twenty-five years--but... they said war aged people differently. Could that be said the same here? But how much of a difference was there between someone who had been awakened two or three years ago, and someone awakened seven or eight years ago, or more?
They were nearing a decade here.
Metis had met a handful of these old guard personally here and there through her years, she knew more names by databases and rumors and back when meetings happened with some vague regular occurrence--the idea of trying such a thing now made her almost chuckle at how difficult it'd be there in the city. Did they even have enough guardians to muffle that many signatures?
She knew the name Castor, first from Iris, then from varied mentions here and there, and of course the news of a Prince when that had begun to spread... "This is a welcomed surprise," she'd greeted him in return, offering an easy and friendly smile. An Eternal signature had drawn her in rather quickly, always delighted to meet someone else who'd managed to achieve the rank. The name that her phone had chimed in her ear had been... well. A shock. This wasn't a path she expected to cross in person. "No, I don't believe we'd had the chance, but it is nice to amend that, Castor. Metis, Eternal of the Third Eye." She offered her hand as she would to any other, though had inclined her head in a slight bow in respect to the fact that while he was not her prince, he was one.

He grinned, not that he was sure she could see him behind the blindfold, but he still smiled, taking her hand and giving it a rather enthusiastic shake with a firm grip. "I hope by welcome surprise that means not all the things you've heard of me are bad- I mean yeah I might have once upon a time flirted with everyone and made out with more than one agent of chaos but- eh." He made it a bit of a joke, it was after all a rather sordid past he had when it came to antics of his youth. "I will admit though, the third eye is not a power I'm familiar with. Something to do with the blindfold?" He guessed her powers related to a sixth sense of some sort. "Hail is.. well. What it says on the tin. Anyway, you doing okay? Nothing big bad and starseed stealing about?"
