Gravina was sitting cross-legged on a bench, enjoying a ham sandwich he had brought in his subspace pocket for on-the-go snacking. Protein was incredibly important and whenever hunger would strike, the Knight of Cosmos would try to stop and get something in his stomach. There was danger in being unprepared while powered up. Agents could find him, someone could attack...

Or... someone could sneak up on him!

The Knight of Cosmos was relieved to find it was a Knight, just like him, though he inwardly admonished himself for not paying enough attention to feel their approach. Popping the half-eaten sandwich back into subspace and standing to dust himself off, Gravina gave the Knight a little wave.

"O-oh! Hello! Um... are you out on patrol too? It's nice to meet you. Ah, I'm Gravina! Knight of Cosmos. Are you...?"

Tilting his head, blue eyes started to investigate this man's outfit. It was one he'd never seen, with deep reds and golden buttons throughout. "...a Knight of Venus?"

Gravina tilted his head. "Ganymede? I've never heard of that... It looks nice on you, though. I think the red brings out the green of your... eye?" As much as the knight hated to point out a wound like that so blatantly, he wasn't sure how to get around it. "But, it's very lovely, and you're nothing less for it, you know. I don't think so, anyway. It's nice to meet you."

Relaxed? Probably too much so, all things considered. Being alone meant he risked finding a particular blonde general, but Gravina was thrilled to find that wasn't the case tonight. "...I guess so, now that you mention it. I haven't seen any youma out tonight, and the only Negaverse agent I saw was a lieutenant and they ran from me pretty quickly." I almost feel bad about that, but they used to run most of the time back then anyway...

"It is slow, but I don't mind. Are you hungry? I have an extra sandwich."

Gravina cringed, unintentionally offending his fellow knight with such an obvious blunder. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't... mean to--"

Shock replaced his guilty expression. If I had a choice in uniform, then it would be black. "Black...? I didn't know knights wore black? The only people I know of that wear black are the Negaverse." Surely this Knight, Gevaudan, didn't mean the Negaverse. No, he probably mean Saturn. Saturn or Pluto! Yes, they wore dark colors that could easily be mistaken for black. "You look very good in this uniform, though."

Gevaudan was very stern and serious. Gravina looked down at his lunchbag and sighed. "I have very high metabolism, so I try to stop and eat so I can keep my energy up. Um... that's why I had asked. I'm... I'm sorry, to have offended you."

Gravina sighed and hung his head in shame. Indeed, how was Gevaudan supposed to take it? He was thankful for the small miracle that the other knight moved past it.

Not that it made much difference, but the idea that Gevaudan wished he were wearing black weighed heavily on his heart. "But... why? Why would you want to be a Negaverse officer? It's... the Negaverse, it's not a very good place." From his perspective, as Bazzite, the Negaverse was Hell. It was the Rift and darkness and devouring families to satiate your monstrous hunger. It was awful, so why would anyone willingly join?

Maybe Gevaudan didn't know?

The Knight's assessment of Gravina's poor choices smacked him in the face and the Knight winced. "...y-yes... I s-suppose that's true, but..." But what? Gevaudan was absolutely correct. If Benitoite wished to ambush him and snap his neck and end his existence, then the blonde would be able to do so if Gravina wasn't careful. What then?

What of the Council? And Roddy?

Now was the time to sit down for a bit. Gevaudan wasn't impressed, nor was Gravina attempting to impress him. The Cosmos Knight had to debate internally whether to disclose just how much he knew about the Negaverse, and whether that could be utterly dangerous to him or not. Gravina did not know who Gevaudan knew in the Negaverse, if anyone, but to risk the Ganymede knight knowing Benitoite?

Probably not the best bet.

With a sigh, the Cosmos Knight's shoulders slumped. "I know, because... Because I was in it. For... for a very long time. And I'm glad I'm not there anymore. I saw... too much. I'm glad I forgot a lot of it. I still have nightmares, sometimes. I'm glad you don't want to be an officer, though. Even if you don't like me, I'm still glad you're not with them, Gevaudan."

Gravina didn't expect the Ganymede Knight to approach him, let alone get so close. He was certain Gevaudan would have walked away and left him be. Instead, Gevaudan had introduced himself as General Wolframite. Blinking, blue eyes wide in shock, the Cosmos Knight didn't know how to answer. Looking down at himself, at his hands, would this be... a terrible idea?

He couldn't remember anyone by the name of Wolframite, but... he had so many missing memories as it was.

"I... um..." I wasn't an officer... at least, not that I can remember, but I can't tell him that, can I? Gravina shook his head nervously. "N-no, I'm sorry. I don't... I don't remember you. Everything's... really fuzzy, you know? I only remember a f-few things. I'm sorry."

He couldn't lie. At least Wolframite - now Gevaudan - was out from under the thumb of the Negaverse. "I um... mostly worked with the... the youma... you know, down in the Rift."

"You went through the Rift to look for your friend? I hope they're okay. It was... it was very nice of you, to check on him like that."

It must have been really tough on you physically.

Gravina sighed deeply, shoulders slumping. The Knight looked up to the sky, wondering just how much General Wolframite had known about the youma. He'd kept one himself. Did he know? Did he even suspect? "M-maybe. I'm just... really glad to be out. Really glad that... I can see the sun now. It's not a healthy place to be, down in the Rift. So many people would go in, looking for a youma partner, and never leave. Very dangerous. So much suffering..."

He nodded solemnly with Gevaudan's lost memory. "I guess... I don't mind, most of the time. From what I was told, I wasn't their best officer anyway, so... I don't mind. I like it here. I have friends to protect now, and a family. How about you, Gevaudan?"
