Cor Caroli's investigations of the senshi and situations around him continued. He had encountered a Dark Mirror recently, which made for an interesting alternate perspective. He hadn't found a typical Negaverse agent yet, or another White Moon senshi, but those were more common as far as he knew. He'd undoubtedly encounter one of those soon. Something decent-sized and black registered on the edge of his aura senses. There was not just a Negaverse presence in the area, but a Corrupt Senshi. Super stage at least. Talk about rare finds. He decided to stay in the area, in front of a shop window, and see if the aura advanced on him or retreated. He wasn't sure whether to expect a polite presence or not; while some Negaverse agents and Corrupts had manners, he didn't think someone made it to Super Corrupt by just saying please and thank you. There was probably a degree of danger on the horizon.

Back state side after a year abroad, Ceraskia had taken a few evenings to herself to settle again, to unpack the small mountain of luggage she'd returned with, and to recement the bonds between herself and team, as well as a certain other agent whom she'd kept careful contact with in her time away. Now, With the jet lag begging to fade at last, the petite dancer had returned to the streets to resume her duties to her mistress and their queen. It had been ages since she'd donned the blacks and greys of her magical alias, and though she'd been keeping in impeccable shape, rigorous dance practice did not exactly lend to combat. Though it was not completely dishelpful, she amended silently to herself as she turned towards the bright spot of order that flickered at the edge of her senses, leading her along like a moth to the light of a flame. Curiosity second to the ever present need to prove herself to her general. She found him easily enough; dark hair, pale attire trimmed in blues and silvers. Taller than her, but that was hardly surprising. The dainty dancer stopped short barely a block away from him, poised, posture perfect. An ambush might have been the wiser course, but she worried about accumulated rust. Until she knew if her combat ability had suffered for the hiatus, she couldn't risk charging into danger headlong. "Good evening." She dipped her head in a light nod, cool smile gliding along dark lips. Polite and well mannered, but of course, those weren't mutually exclusive to friendly.

All right, the Corrupt had come to him, and hadn't started with anything extreme like trying to jump on him. Things were off to a good start. "Evening," Cor Caroli called back, giving Ceraskia a cautious wave. "Nice enough night, right? You kind of blend right in. Take that as a compliment." Cor's heart began to pump faster in his chest. Was he really going to stick around for a fight? Sure, he'd helped beat the crap out of the things in the monument, but punching in a monster was different from punching in a person. A person who really was a good deal smaller than him, at that. He wasn't in the mood to break anyone just yet.

She didn't return the wave, but her smile brightened a touch. Not overtly aggressive it worked in her favor. As did, she suspected, her delicate appearance. Who would guess the pretty little senshi trained beneath one of the most feared within the Negaverse? "I have as much control over this magical appearance as any one of us, but thank you." The dance started forward again, pace almost leisurely. The tips of delicate fingers smoothing along the the edges of dark feathers at her hips. The street lights made beads and glitter dazzle, but shown starkly against the bone. She looked like she just stepped off the stage of some morbidly dark preformance. "Your name?" There were ways to go about things. If you fight with intent to tear free a seed, it was only respectful to know the name it belonged to.

This lady was hard to gauge, but the signs pointed to "incredibly ominous." He probably shouldn't have given the Corrupt his name, but he did anyway. "Cor Caroli, Senshi of Will. How about you?" Well, she was nice enough to ask, so maybe she'd be willing to give him her name in return. For a given value of "nice," anyway. At any rate, Cor could only ignore his senses and stay polite for so long. He started to back away, quick back steps to put little chunks of space between him and the advancing Corrupt. If she charged, he was ready to break out into a run and take off.

"Will?" There was some touch if humor in her voice, the faint hint of laughter as she continued her slow pursuit. "Ironic, that." Will you turn tail and run from this threat, or meet it head on. Where does your resolve lie? If he belonged to her mistress, he'd have been a disappointment in this moment. Better to collect the seed, and leave the husk of the senshi. Dark lips tucking up in one corner, the petite dancer lifted her hand to lay delicate fingers over the sheer front of her full. "Ceraskia, super of scorn." A slight pause, the subtle dip of her head in getting. Then she would vanish. Appearing again behind him, no less than an arms length away. "Do you have the will to stand and fight?" Arm drawn back, she thrust her hand towards the center of his back, ready to snatch the seed from his chest if he wasn't quick enough to move out of reach.

Cor knew he didn't have time to quip back at this Ceraskia. The second she vanished, he started forward. They always went through the back. He remembered two things: the time he'd gotten his starseed manhandled at the subway, which had scared him off patrolling for a while, and a flash of the dark future where he had been forcefully corrupted. It was ironic that he had will in a time when it could be overridden. And did he have the will to stand and fight? Well. If he didn't before, it seemed to suddenly surge up now. After jumping forward to avoid contact with his back, Cor Caroli spun around. Just pretend she's like that big nasty thing in the monument. She might as well be. With a battle cry, he lunged forward, intending to knock her down and maybe get in a good swing. He was trying really hard not to feel bad for going for someone smaller, but he knew this lady would either ruin his life or end it in a heartbeat.

The tips of her fingers barely brushed the pale fabric of his fuku as he jerked away from her reaching hand. Will enough, it seems. When his life was on the line, when adversity bore down on him, his courage emerged. "Better." She'd have attacked regardless of his willingness to fight back, but an easy victory gained her little more than a trophy to deliver to get general. After her long hiatus from her duties she preferred a challenge. As he lunged the dancer there herself backwards, little frame bending at the waist. She planted her hands against the concrete, kicked up with her toes, and aimed the flat of one small foot at the senshi's chin and she flipped around once more.

Better, huh? Small praise, but praise enough. Maybe Cor Caroli actually stood a chance against the Negaverse and could avert his fate. His opinion on that swiftly changed when the little Corrupt's foot crashed into his chin. He thought that that one impact made his entire head rattle, and he stumbled backwards. Did he taste blood? He wasn't sure. She probably didn't have enough power behind that particular kick to really wreck his mouth, but boy did that catch Cor off guard. Growling and trying to gather himself, he attempted a sliding kick to catch the acrobatic Corrupt. It had worked a few other times; maybe it would work this time?

The top of her foot stung with the blow, but it's been a solid hit, enough maybe to daze him. If she'd have to guess she'd say this senshi hasn't the benefit of training she'd been afforded by her general. Tenacity in spades, now that he was into it, but not much finesse. She saw him coming for her ankles, and she jumped to the side to avoid the kick, landing gracefully on dainty toes very nearly beside him. "If these is the cards you've brought to the table, I dare say you're in trouble." It wasn't condescending, just a started fact. An attempt to take advantage of his lower stature was made. Another kick to the head, got planted and hips rotated. If she could incapacitate him, she could help herself to his energy and his starseed. And wouldn't her mistress be thrilled with that?

Something was up if someone other than Cor Caroli was making the quips. He realized that she was punctuating her attacks with them frequently, and so maybe if he used that against her, he could get an opening for himself. However, the way Ceraskia was attacking made it hard for Cor to squeeze a word in edgewise. He raised a hand to block her foot, maybe push it away and set her off balance if he could. He managed to stammer out a quip of his own in hopes of maybe pulling another one out of her. "W-well, you should know better than anyone that the decks aren't exactly evenly stacked!"

Her foot connected with the side of his hand rather than the side of his face, and when he shoved she stumbled, had to jerk that leg back to regain her balance. It had jade eyes narrowing, a flicker of inpatience flitting across delicate features before she was schooling her expression back to cool neutrality. "Are they not?" The dancer chuckled. "Here and now, I would be to differ. The strentgth of your aura matches mine, we should be even." They weren't, and they were both aware of it. But it wasn't magic that separated them. "Where is your discipline? Your dedication and focus?" She went for him again, making a grab for the collar of his fuku, her other fist drawn back. "You squander your gifts!"

Okay, this was working a bit better. The block was successful, and he was keeping her talking. If he kept that up, he might be able to land a hit in or secure an escape route for himself. Cor decided to field the questions regarding his discipline and focus to keep Ceraskia going. "I'll get there. Just because I wasn't the most dedicated senshi in the past doesn't mean I can't pick myself up and get to work when I need to. Like now!" His next move was counter-intuitive and probably risky, but he decided to let Ceraskia grab his collar as he sent forth a fist of his own. Maybe, if he was lucky, she'd run into his fist, or something.

Taking the risk would pay off. Her fingers curled around the material at his collar, jerking him in to deliver a strike is her own. She didn't expect the counter attack, he'd down no real aptitude towards it this far in their fight. Curled knuckles against the side of her jaw caught her off gaurd, loosened her grip enough for hus fuku to slip through her fingers. Folly on her part, but she was quick to recover. Moving with the inertia of the punch to twist around, but only so she could turn on a heel and send another powerful kick at his chest. "Is this war a game to you? Are you playing at being a soldier?" Her lips curled in distaste. "How have you survived this long giving no care to your situation?"

The feel of fist on flesh sent a gleeful surge of adrenaline through Cor Caroli. Even if Ceraskia was able to use her momentum against him, he had the wherewithal to hop backwards and barely dodge a kick that would have left a mark. "Never was a game," Cor muttered. "I don't know how I got here, but I plan to start taking some responsibility." He attempted a low kick, trying to mimic the dancer's fancy footwork. "Not that that really matters for you!" This lady was awfully focused on war and soldiers. Granted, the grave face of the war was clearer to him than ever before, but something felt almost silly to him in the way she talked about it. She probably wasn't going to be impressed by Cor's stating that he was going to start taking things more seriously, but it was true, as far as he was concerned.
