It was a strong signature. One that order generally wanted to avoid lest they wanted a fight, but he was interested. General. Negaverse. You could feel energy differences. Senshi. Knight. Negaverse. Dark Mirror. The opposition, his old home, did not mingle into one energy signature with all the others. No. They still had there own, and while on this side they didn't feel the same kind of PING!, the same kind of throbbing when he was a general, they still felt comforting.

It was a hum of Chaos.

He moved slowly down the wallways before he got a block away and slow stepped out into the street to make himself known but also to keep distance.

Normally, Cavansite would have sought out the knight aura to start a fight. To claim a prize and add something new to her already overcrowded outfit. Lately though, she had felt the aura of someone on the side of order and just…left. She hadn’t been in any sort of mood for confrontation, and had done her best to avoid it.

Things were changing in her heart and in her head, and she wasn’t really sure that she enjoyed the changes honestly. It was too much to think about, too much to worry about…there was no real reason to be pondering them…it was treason. But…But at the same time…

She was just starting to feel as though she didn’t really belong.

All of that aside, she made her way towards the knight’s aura, half hoping that it would again be Tanais, half hoping she would again be able to attempt a conversation. …Attempt another trip to the place that the knight called ‘home’. Though, as she got closer she saw an outfit made almost completely of white, and for a moment, she felt a snarl rising in her throat, thinking only that this was a Cosmos Knight, all thoughts of being civil flying from her mind but…those other colors…deep rich, almost wine colors…

“What the hell kind of a knight are you?” The words came out far sharper than she had intended, and Cavansite stopped a good few feet away, eyes narrowed slightly.

It was far from a hello and he stopped advancing once she came to meet him.

"That's a pretty loaded question." He said looking back at her and narrowing one eye. No blackened star - so she wasn't a corrupted senshi. Fukus weren't worn by officers. That only left the DMC and he felt himself grow cold as a result.

"A bored knight seeing what the DMC is up to this late at night." He said. "What kind of senshi are you?"

PostPosted: Thu May 10, 2018 12:33 pm

The question confused her and for a moment Cavansite just blinked. “What kind of…senshi am I?” Glancing down at her outfit, she tried to picture it. Perhaps it was the bow? The trinkets that adorned her?

Finally the General snorted and summoned her spear into her hand, fingers wrapping around it rather lovingly. “I assure you that I’m no senshi. I am General Cavansite of the Negaverse, and I’m starting to think that perhaps you should look into getting that eye checked. Though, I supposed I’m a little amused. I’ve never been mistaken for a senshi before. How novel.”

Leaning on her spear just slightly, Cavansite again looked him up and down, trying to figure out what sort of knight he was. He wasn’t Mars. Wasn’t Cosmos. Wasn’t anything that she knew of. “So seriously. What sort of a knight are you. For a moment I mistook you for a Cosmos knight due to all of the white but…you don’t have any rainbow, and I don’t recognize that symbol.” It looked like a heart shaped…lightning bolt?

Her eyes fell on one of the bracelets that dangled on the knight’s wrist and for a moment, she felt a spark of the old magpie that still seemed to infect her. “…You should give me one of those bracelets you’re wearing. It would look fantastic with the rest of my collection.”

He slowly brought up a hand and closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose in embarrassment at his own misjudgment. "You would be right. I must be going blind in this eye too to have made such an insulting mistake. I saw the lighter pink and the frills and jumped to conclusions. I'd say I've seen uniforms that were less traditional and accented but I saw plenty that proved otherwise during meetings. I'm sorry for that."

He removed his hand and looked at his own uniform before he started to work free one of the chains. "I am a knight of Ganymeade but in name only. Knights have a ridiculous rule of pledging oaths to a Prince or Princess. It is a lot of hot air in the end. A knight should never serve their cause."

He offered her the chain. "I don't see how it would be able to stay with you though."

"Are things well on your side?"
PostPosted: Thu May 10, 2018 3:38 pm

Again, his reaction confused her. She wasn’t expecting such a change of tune, or to have him actually giving her the piece of his outfit…but she wasn’t going to complain at any rate. “A knight of…Ganymede? I’ve never heard of that type of knight…”

Moving closer, Cavansite took the offered chain and ran her fingers over it. “I don’t see why it wouldn’t. All of my other treasures have stayed with me.” She reached up and touched the bow on her front as well as twisting slightly so her stolen object belt glistened in the streetlight. “I do enjoy taking trophies. It’s kind of my thing.”

The general tossed the new trinket into her subspace pocket and shrugged slightly. “What sort of a question is that…are things well on my side? Of course they’re well.” She wondered if he was trying to feel her out. To test if she was weak. Of course that must be what she was coming off as. She had a perfect opportunity to attack him and…here she was just chatting this Ganymede knight up like she had good sense.

“…What do you mean by a knight should never serve their cause? The…prince or princess that they serve? Why do you say that? I didn’t realize…that you actually…served people. I thought you just…were like the senshi only…I don’t know. Not.” Cavansite had been talking to this knight for not even five minutes, and already she was utterly confused by the conversation.

"The knights are just as disorganized as the senshi, but their outfits show what kind of.....well, think of it like a flag they are under. The Prince and Princesses who let the knights be their banner men and women who I suppose might want them to fight on their behalf or for their cause. I don't actually see it, but even if it was something the Princess of Ganymeade wanted, I wouldn't obey. Does that make more sense?" He said, watching her hide his chain away and hoping he wouldn't regret it later down the road.

"I meant well after the events that have happened. I'm not here to test you for weak points. On the contrary, I'm only ever concerned for the Negaverse." He clarified.

Interesting. Cavansite tilted her head slightly, still not knowing quite what to make of this knight. “So…you wouldn’t…assist the Princess of Ganymede with anything…even though you wear her banner?” She hadn’t realized that knights were expected to be…subservient to Princes or Princesses…it wasn’t something that had ever come up…and the knights that she had met…none of them had seemed to think or feel that way.

…How strange.

“I suppose…I don’t really understand why you have concern for the Negaverse? If you care about my faction that much…why don’t you just join us? I’m sure that the General Kings and Queen would welcome you with open arms…I could contact them now, if you would like. You don’t have to worry about any Princess giving you orders if you’re uncomfortable with it…”

This was stupid. Here she was…coming to speak to a knight, hoping for more information on their side…and yet…she was offering to bring him to her side.

The world didn’t seem to make much sense at the moment, and she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about anything right now.

…Perhaps she shouldn’t have approached at all.

He smiled at her, softly. "At tempting as it would be to wear my old uniform, I'd be killed for returning back. I'm a traitor." He said, rubbing the patch of skin at his wrist. The mark to this day of Zinkenite's key still felt fresh.

"I wouldn't assist a senshi." He said in addition. "Knights are our own fraction, despite the colors we wear to a senshi."

“Your old…” Cavansite swallowed and frowned, her brows furrowing slightly. “So…you’ve left us? But…I’m afraid I don’t understand. Why? If you want to come back, I could talk to General King Axinite…I’m sure he would rather have you back with us, traitor or not…just because you’ve made a mistake doesn’t mean that we don’t need you in our ranks…”

What was she saying? Why was she pushing this? If she managed to bring him around, that would do nothing for Tanais. That would do nothing for her own wavering. It wouldn’t solve any issues…it would just strengthen the Negaverse.

It would bring someone home.

…Perhaps it would help her in the long run but…

“Why did you leave? If you don’t mind me asking…if you want to come back…why did you leave us in the first place?” It didn’t make sense. Not really.

He stared at her, meeting her eyes. "Because I'm killing the Dark Moon. Court." He said, serious as he slowly smiled at her. "That is why I won't return. That is why I left. That is why I would not be allowed back. That is why I'm a traitor."

His smile faded away as it grew serious. "Would you stop me?"

Cavansite blinked. “Why…would I want to stop you? I hold no affection for them. But I can’t see how that would make you a traitor. It seems kind of silly to me.”

She shrugged and watched the knight, even more curious now than she had been to begin with. “Honestly I haven’t really dealt much with them…but…when you’re done killing them…would you come back? If you were successful…would you come back to us…or will you stay a knight? Stay allied with the white moon?”

Now, that seemed like a good question and she sighed slightly, glancing away. “I...I don’t know. I suppose I’ve been having doubts about things lately. You’ve succeeded in confusing me more so, I suppose that’s something. You don’t seem happy as a knight, and I just…that worries me, I suppose. You left because you wanted to destroy your enemies, but now you’re stuck somewhere that you don’t…belong? Someplace that you don’t…no. I wouldn’t stop you from killing a court of senshi that I had nothing to do with. If that is what brings you joy, do it. Kill all of them.”

It didn’t matter if something was morally right or wrong. You had to be happy. Perhaps that was the lesson learned from this meeting. Or…perhaps this knight just…was stuck. As she was. And he was doing the best he could.

“…I could still speak to Axinite for you, if you wanted. I could see what his thoughts on the matter would be. I wouldn’t mind.”

"Do not talk to your superior. For now, leave it be. I don't see Metallia allowing me back. I was warned. Regardless of what anyone says, in the end, Metallia has the final word and they would make an example of me as they did before. I won't let myself be taken by them, and until this war is over, there won't be any reason for me to stop as there will always be something to go after." He said, watching her.

"Why are you confused? Do you think the knights and senshi are happier than the Negaverse?"

Cavansite watched him for a long moment, before finally giving a reluctant nod. “Okay. If you’re sure.” For now. He said for now though, so perhaps later…things would be a different story.

“I don’t know. I suppose I’m just confused. Someone that I respected and trusted very much left us to become a knight and she won’t even stand to hear of going back. And then there are other people. Knights, senshi who say that they just want to ‘help’ me but…I don’t know. And then there’s you who seems like you’d rather be back with us but you’re labeled a traitor and can’t return so I’m just…I don’t know. I feel lost. Stuck. Unable to figure out what path to choose and what route to take.”

Sighing, Cavansite glanced away, reaching up and fiddling with the starseed that adorned the bow on her front, feeling that slight pang of guilt when she thought of the young page who she had stolen it from.

“…sometimes I just can’t figure out just what I’m fighting for.”

Gevaudan took a few steps, reached up, a bobbed Cavansite over the head.
