Physical Description: Roughly six foot something, Dynzrak has been gifted with long, strong legs and a build naturally leaned out and muscled from his craft. His shoulders are starting to broaden, and while he seems a little lanky now, he’ll undoubtedly fill out as he grows older.
He has pale skin and bright green eyes that are often narrowed a little slyly. Add that to the sleek red hair that he keeps pulled back from his face, and one may wonder if the lad is actually... well, trustworthy. He has strong features and a bright smile and he always seems to be grinning about something.
In short, he’s a good looking man and knows it, and he’ll only continue to grow more handsome as he gets older.
Personality: Ambitious, proud, and a risk-taker. Dynzrak is at that age where he believes he’s invincible, and is a little too foolhardy to think otherwise. Life is too short to play it safe, and he fully intends to go out with a bang. You won’t catch him tiptoeing around anyone, that’s for sure--at least, as far as his peers go. He knows all too well what it means to disrespect his elders, or those who top him in rank, so to them, he'll be an overly enthusiastic participant at most. Being here at the Weyr is, in his mind, his ticket for a better life, and he'd rather eat wherry dung than sabotage his chances by back-talking authority. He's eager to prove himself, and that makes it all too easy to trip him up and wound his pride.
Dynzrak never does well when someone injures his pride.
To his friends, he is a daredevil of a companion, and will seemingly be there for someone for as long as they have his back. Of course, that means he won't make fun of you (much), and he won't put creepy crawlies in your bed. He isn’t about to slow down for the sake of someone else, though, so they’d best keep up! The thing is, Dynzrak seems to collect people as he goes along, fully intending to lose a few along the way. He’s always up for a good time, and that just may be too much for some people… especially since his idea of a good time isn’t always nice.
If you spurn him--or if he thinks you've spurned him--Dynzrak will do what he can to make your life hell. He isn’t the kind of guy that loses his temper, really. He’ll laugh and toss jabs back as good as he gets them… but then he doesn’t stop. He’ll go out of his way to torment and humiliate his chosen target, gleefully seeking to both embarrass and anger the person in question. The boy doesn't exactly think of himself as mean. The strongest have to survive, right? And if that means bullying the weak around, then oh well! He can definitely be an a*****e, loves to tease, and knows exactly when he goes over the line. He usually means to if he's deliberately baiting someone. The boy doesn’t bother minding his mouth, and definitely doesn’t relent from being crude. If someone’s offended, it just makes them even more fun to poke at, in his mind! Fortunately, if someone of a higher rank is the one to earn his ire, Dynzrak is smart enough to bite his tongue. Unfortunately, this probably means one of his peers will suffer for it.
Though he does tend to group people by first impressions, these can easily change in his mind if he sees said people acting out of the category he placed them into. He's flexible like that, and it's not uncommon for him to start acting friendly towards the people he's mercilessly embarrassed in front of others. They probably don't want anything to do with him after that, but hey, can't win them all!
The thing is, what friends Dynzrak does make usually come about by accident. He has this idea in his head that he's the only one that can look out for himself--but if someone can stick out his general attitude, he'll slowly but surely begin to appreciate their company. He doesn't trust easily, is the thing. The more dependable someone is, well, easier friendship will blossom.

History: History: Dynzrak never likes to talk much about his history. There's nothing particularly shameful or embarrassing about it, but he never likes to be seen as second-best. A stubborn, rueful child, Dynzrak was the second child to be born in a small family who resided in Keroon Hold. His father, Dynon, was a beastcraft breeder, who specialized in breeding animals that would provide the most nutrition to the dragons of the Weyrs. His price was always fair, and he considered it an honor to provide food for the dragons--even far before Thread fell again. He had grown up on stories of dragons defending Pern, and though others scoffed at his superstitions. The older of the two children, Caelin naturally took to the art of his father's work and excelled. As such, he was often praised by both parents, who had decided it would be best for the eldest son to eventually inherit the business.
When he was younger, Dynzrak resented and envied his older brother, often lashing out for attention that never quite fulfilled his need to be noticed. Unlike Caelin, he wasn’t any good at knowing which herdbeasts to breed in order to get the best results. His frustration made him turn his back on the craft entirely, and when he was 13 Turns, he began to work with runners instead. It was a lot of hard work, but slowly the boy became more fit as a result, and found that he enjoyed the manual labor!
When a Search dragon came to Keroon for potential Candidates and deemed that Dynzrak would be fitting, the boy jumped at the chance. Having decided he had already cut his ties with his family, he let himself be whisked away to High Reaches Weyr, seeing it as an opportunity to start over and live a life much better than his old one.
Second best again? Not unless you killed him, first! Whatever it took, Dynzrak was determined to be the best--even if that meant getting saddled with all the chores of a Candidate. If he could Impress a dragon... then everything would change, and that is the goal the boy has firmly set in his mind.
