The weather couldn't have been more perfect, if Bernard had to give his opinion. Currently the large cat was sunning his stomach at the park closest to his home, underneath a tree where the light filtered through. It wasn't too cold, nor was it too hot. It was totally can completely perfect. And Bernard hoped that he wouldn't be waking up in some strange area like the last time he had tried to sun himself. Having to fight was no fun, made worse when he had to actually move to do so. But there hadn't been any weird things popping up like that obelisk, so he was sure that he could enjoy his naps uninterrupted again.
He sighed in his sleep, rolling over, trying to get into another position, not really caring how he looked when... he smelled something. His nose twitched, his fur-stache creating a weird squiggly line across his face as he continued to try to figure out what was creating the delicious smell that was now attacking his nose.
He sighed, and tried to get up onto his paws, however, it took a few tries since his body wasn't exactly ready for easy roll-overs, and he finally managed to make it back onto all of his paws. He stretched out, yawned, and then sat a bit, trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. He sniffed the air a few times, and headed off towards it, wondering if he could at least learn what it was so that he could try to convince his owners to make it for him.

Today was a good day for having a picnic. The sun was up and out and there was a soft breeze in the air. Kaileen had decided to spend the day at the park. She didn't want to spend such a nice day like this locked up inside. She looked down at the picnic basket she brought. She smiled. She had as some brothers who would do anything for her. Her eldest brother was a chef. She had stopped by the restaurant he worked at and told him about her plans for today. He immediately stopped what he was doing and started cooking. Kaileen licked her lips. Meals from "Lobster Mac and cheese, mozzarella cheese sticks, Shrimp linguini alfrado, maple glazed chicken. Just to name a few. She hoped her brother didn't get in any kind of trouble for it. She found a nice spot under a tree and lauded out a blanket. She say down and started to layout the food. "Mmm. Everything smells so good.

Bernard continued toward the delicious smell, slowly of course. Even a delicious smell couldn't make him try to fast-walk anywhere. He waddled over and soon saw a young woman out on a blanket with a picnic basket with her. Bernard hesitated. He didn't want to beg for the food, that was beneath him, but the smell was just so good...
He waddled over to the woman, tail in the air, trying to look relaxed and like he wasn't interested in the delicious-smelling food either. He wandered over to her, first sniffing her, in case she didn't like cats and would shoo him away. If that was the case, then he wouldn't bother her anymore, even if the smell was amazing. When he felt as though he had sufficiently introduced himself, he sat next to her on his hind paws, and looked at her, trying to look as handsome as he could be. Maybe if he looked good enough she would just give him some food.

Kaileen had the food layded out on the blanket she brought. She took it the sofa she had brought and the cups she had brought from the store "Mmm everything smells great." She turned when she noticed a small move out of the corner of her eye. It was a cat. A black and white cat with a bow tie. It came up to her and sniggef her then sat down looking at her. "Oh my god. Arn't you just the cutest thing." Without a care that it was a cat that had claws, she picked the cat up and putted him in her lap. "You look like a little ol groom with that bow tie." She bended her head down to the cat and rubbed her nose against his. "I'm hitting some kind of cat jackpot or something. Your the third cat I've seen around. Are you hungry?" She took up a meatball and held it up by the cats mouth. "Mmm yummy right?"

Well, it seemed that he had managed to charm the young lady as she immediately picked him up, which was surprising to him considering his girth, and set him in her lap. He purred happily, glad that someone was willing to pay attention to him and how great he was. He didn't even mind her rubbing noses.
However, because he was a Guardian Cat, and she was a civilian, he had to keep himself from saying anything she could truly understand, and instead, cocked his head to the side and meowed at her question. The trick was to act as though he didn't understand it, when he knew perfectly well what she was asking.
Suddenly she held a meatball to his mouth, and while he usually wouldn't eat such a thing, they were quite messy after all, this one did smell unusually good, and after taking a lick of it, decided to take a bite. After all, how could he resist food that was being willingly given to him and wasn't taken out of a can? He couldn't of course. He continued to purr, glad that he was getting some of the food.

"MMM Yummy right?" Kaileen took out some plastic plates from her bag and started to put different types of food on one of them. She setted the plate nest to the cat. "It's a good thing I remember to bring these with me." She then took out a plastic cup and started to tear and fashion it so that the cat could at least his tongue inside of it. She then took out the juices and water bottles she had with her and setted them out for the cat to choose which he would like to drink. "Eat up and which drink would you like?"

Bernard wasn't as interested in commenting on the food as the girl was, but he would not complain since she was continuing to feed him. He quietly watched her as she got the rest of her food out and then made a cup for him, which he was impressed by. He looked at the drinks, and moved his front paw towards the water. As interesting as it would have been to try out the others, he had realized that drinking something flavored kept the taste in his mouth to the point where the other food would taste a little weird.
He then settled in a bit more, but not before grabbing something else to munch on while he sat with her on the blanket. To show his satisfaction, he purred a bit more as he ate.
