Ryder was coming out of a classroom late, having stayed after for a little while to get a head start on some homework while using the reference books in the class. He knew that his textbook wouldn't have all of the info he needed, so this was a better way to make sure he didn't end up missing something. The teacher had dubiously let him listen to his thrashy metal while he did so, keeping an eye on him only to see that he had no intention of doing anything other than what he said he would...much to their surprise. He was used to people making those kind of assumptions, so it didn't bother him too much.
As he was walking down the hall, he happened to look up and see the freshling a ways down the hall putting something on one of the corkboards. Curious, he pulled down his headphones and walked up to them just as they were hanging up what looked like a poster.
"....A book club?" He said with soft realization, looking to the freshling with a smile.
"I haven't seen anyone post up a book club for freshlings before. Are you the one starting it?" He was trying not to sound too excited from the get-go....even if he really was actually quite excited. He loved reading.
