Physical Description: Anandi stand about 5’4” tall, with thick medium-brown hair worn in a high braid that falls to her mid-back. Her skin is sunkissed and darker, with bright amber eyes. In Earth terms, she looks distinctively Indian. She is Threadscored on various parts of her body, most notably on her upper shoulders and thighs. She prefers to wear clothing that is soft and easy to move in when not in her Rider gear, caring more for whites and blues.
Personality: What Anandi lacks in skill, she makes up for in enthusiasm.
Anandi is nothing if not sunny in disposition, and this shines through with the positivity with which she approaches most people and things. She’s so happy to see you this morning! Breakfast was wonderful! Yes, the wingdrills were the same as the last three days, and yes, this last drill was in the rain but we all made it back, didn’t we? Anandi tries to see the good in all things and situations, if at all possible. This positivity makes the rigidity of Weyr life just a little easier, and can net her a few more friends in the process.
She’s generally a very nice person to talk to though her energy has been known to get her in trouble or annoy her fellow wingmates. She means well, but doesn’t always pick up on social cues and might try to befriend people who either aren’t interested or would find it inappropriate. She wants to be friends with everyone, even if those other people aren’t interested in the slightest. She’s up and ready to go (and talk incessantly) first thing in the morning, but crashes as soon as it’s time to do so. The blessed silence is something some of her Weyrmates probably look forward to. No doubt she’s been scolded to shut her motor mouth more than once.
Fahn is her dearest cousin, closest friend and shoulder to lean on. Without Fahn, Vishnuth and the solid scheduling of Weyr life, Anandi would be lost. Having Fahn to focus on keeps Anandi on track much more than she would be alone, but fighting Thread and Weyr life is stressful. She leans on her cousin when it becomes too difficult to cope, crying quietly on Fahn’s shoulder. Sometimes Anandi simply doesn’t know what to do and turns to her cousin if and when available. It’s difficult for Anandi to take a leadership position even if she has seniority in the situation. Without someone she trusts to lean on, Anandi can have trouble moving forward.
She harbors no real ambitions for fame or fortune, and it can appear than Anandi is either lazy or doesn’t realize she could rise above her current status with some hard work and determination. In reality, she simply doesn't think she's good enough to hold any position higher than what she's managed to achieve, and even that is sometimes in question. Encouragement from Vishnuth and Fahn definitely helps, and second-guessing yourself while out on the Wing can be disastrous.
The thought of dying while fighting Thread is horrifying, but not necessarily for herself. Anandi is much more concerned with her Wingmates, her dragon and dear Fahn than she is about herself, though she certainly doesn’t want to die and leave Fahn and Vishnuth all alone. She worries terribly about Fahn while out on missions, worries about her Wingmates and is horribly anxious at the thought of Fahn becoming a Rider and having to face Thread as well. She tries her best to keep it clamped down, but doesn’t always succeed. One of the rare times Anandi is quiet is when out on a mission, grinding her teeth at the thought of losing someone she cares about.

History: Born to a rather large family in a minor Hold, Threadfall was unheard of at the time. Anandi happily worked to learn the craft of her mother and help support the family. Her nuclear family was very close to Fahn's, her cousin, and the two practically grew up together. With several siblings between the two of them, neither was alone.
That is, until Threadfall devastated the Hold and tore the community apart. Anandi's family lay in shambles, several members within moments. Grieving was immediate though there was some relief - Fahn had survived. Anandi knew that she had to do something to help, and could not bear the thought of losing anyone else she cared about to the silver terror from the sky. Dragons had protected them as best they could, and surely they would want more people willing to help?
Anandi's willingness and determination were likely what got her Searched, though her first few Hatchings yielded no results. With Fahn and their remaining family's safety in mind, her last journey to the sands found her a partner. Vishnuth's mind touched her own and the two were inseparable, caring for each other the family previously lost.
She had much to make up for, and hustled to catch up in terms of skill to train and learn what it meant to defend Pern from the sky-menace. With Fahn to protect and a dragon to care for, Anandi has only been riding for a short period of time. Vishnuth doesn't have a great deal of pride in his appearance, but more his ability, and knows he's still young and has a desire to prove himself to the older and more experienced members of the Weyr.
Other: Anandi is sure she has magical powers in another universe. Probably.

Physical Description:
Personality: Vishnuth is a happy dragon and, despite his large size, loves to cuddle with His and her cousin. The blue is a friendly, patient type of soul who pays much more attention than he lets on. Anandi's near-boundless energy doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest, and truthfully, he adores being adored. The attention is always a favorite, and Vishnuth's favorite activities are being doted on by His and laying in the sun. In that respect, he's a little selfish, and is known to pretend to be in need just to garner a little bit more fawning and attention.
His is a shoulder his Rider can lean upon, and being needed helps bolster Vishnuth's self-esteem. Knowing that he and his siblings are some of the only ones who can help save Pern makes the Blue inwardly smile and puff out his chest in pride.
