Nakano is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan.

The ward was founded on October 1, 1932 when the towns of Nogata and Nakano were absorbed into the former Tokyo City as Nakano Ward. The present administration dates from March 15, 1947 when the Allied occupation reformed the administration of Tokyo-to.

Five special wards surround Nakano: Shinjuku, Suginami, Nerima, Shibuya, and Toshima. It lies just west of the bustling Shinjuku area.

Its rivers include the Kanda, Myosho-ji and Zenpuku-ji Rivers, and the Aratama Waterway.

The running of a rather scared man could be heard throughout the streets. This man was a criminal by the name of Joro, and he often sold firearms to people that were willing to pay a hefty price. On this particular evening, he had been running his usual circuit when some men approached him asking him to come with them. While he was usually compliant with such demands, Joro had noticed that they seemed particularly agitated, indicating that they might have had some nefarious plans for him. Not wanting to get killed in some shady alley without putting up a fight, the man had ditched his wares a couple blocks away and taken off through some backstreets. Only one thought crossed his mind as he ran away from the men, I gotta live, no matter what. That is what has brought him to this particular moment, tripping over a trash can as he barreled down the streets of Nakano. "I never even wanted to be in this business! I just wanted to be a fish farmer! Own my own place, take care of it with my dad. I never wanted any of this to happen!" Joro began shouting hysterically, trying to get whatever words he could out of his mind while he still could.

As he passed by one alley, he happened to glance what looked like a disfigured monster down it, shakily creeping towards him from the alley and flickering every now and then. "Oh my god! What's coming after me now!?" He shouted, regretful that Terrans had ever been allowed to come into their world. Ever since they had shown up, all sorts of creatures had invaded their world, parts of the cities, and various oceans. Their own homes were not safe because old, Japanese yokai that creeped into people's houses were apparently real over on Terra. That made their world far more dangerous than it ever had been before. Knights were literally prowling the streets at night now just so these types of creatures would not cause any trouble. "But I guess some monster managed to sneak past you guys, huh!?" He shouted, hoping to get the attention of somebody. Barreling down a different alley, the man avoided the way the monster was walking towards him from entirely. There was no way he wanted to find out exactly what that creature would do to him if he caught up.

Unfortunately, the man ran right into some other creature blocking another path, this one deformed, crawling on the ground, and flickering as well. "No, no, no!" The man started repeating over and over again, watching the creature creep towards him as he turned towards another alley and darted down it. What he found, however, was that there were a plethora of these flickering creatures down so many alleys that it made it nearly impossible to walk one way for more than a few seconds. The man kept having to double back around, move through more alleys, and readjust his course to make up for the dangers that seemed to pop up every couple seconds. "What are those Knights doing!? There's so many!!!" The man screamed out, almost crying as he ran down the only empty path that was available to him, the last one. Seeing the light at the end of this alley, he was filled with joy only for that to immediately dissipate as one of the creatures appeared in front him from thin air, flickering into existence. "No... no...." The man muttered, turning around only to be met with a plethora of creatures behind him, squeezing past each other to move closer. Terrified, the man began backing up, only to see that a similar amount had gathered behind him. "No! NOOOOOO!" He screamed as the creatures all converged on top of him, their hands coming down towards him as he covered his face and screamed.

"Boo!" The man jumped at the sound of the voice, flinging himself onto his side and looking up to see that all the monsters were gone. No, all that was left was a young man with white hair and a creepy smile on his face. "You should see the look on your face. Did you wet yourself?" This white-haired man mocked Joro with some sort of sadistic satisfaction. "W... Who are you?" The man asked, reaching his hand out towards the young man. His answer to this question, however, was merely being blasted with several beams of pure, solar energy and getting vaporized. "No thanks, I hate monologues." The young man commented, smirking as he then turned around and stared at six gun-like objects that were now floating behind him. "That makes one more. A few more and I'll have crippled them to the point where they have to look to me for protection." The man commented to himself, whistling as he then exited the alleyway feeling rather good about himself.

Passing into the streets, a few people gave him a strange look due to his dress and some actively showed that they knew he was nothing but a thug. The looks, however, were rather pleasant to the man. While no one loved being despised, being looked at like that meant that he was doing his job properly, that people were afraid of him to a certain degree and needed to show their disgust to downplay that feeling of dread that was slowly building up in them. Tulips and daisies are not edible. I need sustenance, maybe some vegetable? The man hummed in his mind as he passed by a food place serving Thai food. Across from it, however, seemed to be a fast food restaurant geared towards sandwiches. "What a predicament. Both are a viable options... yet neither is particularly appealing in any sort of way." He thought to himself as he began to contemplate which one he would rather go to for food. Honestly, the thought process was rather riveting, and at one point he even expressed regret for vaporizing the man when he might have been able to lift all of his money off of him before hand. I really need to learn to play with my food instead of digging right in. He thought to himself as he stood on the sidewalk, looking up towards the sky absentmindedly while considering the stores.

Some people want to stand on the top of the mountain. Some people want to rule the underground. Me... I just wanna watch it all burn to the ground.
